That turned out to be completely inaccurate. After pickup, a major delamination issue was discovered along the bottom of the hull between the bunks, with missing gel coat and compromised fiberglass. This is not minor wear--it's a serious structural problem that requires thousands of dollars to repair. This isn't something subtle or easy to miss. It's the kind of damage a marine dealership should immediately recognize. Failing to disclose it--while describing the hull as "good"--is, at best, careless and, at worst, intentionally misleading. When the issue was raised, there was no accountability and no effort to make it right. If this is the standard for how equipment is evaluated and represented, buyers should be extremely cautious. Do not rely on descriptions--inspect everything yourself or be prepared for a very expensive surprise.

The truck was driven to and work was performed in the shop. The job was worth no more than 300 at most. There was no transparency about pricing upfront, and when I asked for a breakdown or receipt, it was vague at best. To charge that much for labor alone, especially without providing or sourcing the parts, and with the work being done in the comfort of his shop is completely unreasonable and feels like a rip-off. I expected more professionalism, honesty, and fairness. Be cautious--shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with this mechanic.

He charged us $680 for parts then ended up needed a new drum for one of the tires. It took over a week for him to come back and replace the drum and new brake. He then charged us another $1040 dollars for that part and labor. We later found out that is much higher than should have been paid for parts and labor. We pulled the trailer a few weeks later and had the tire that he replaced the drum on come off. It sheared all but one of the lug nuts and completely destroyed the rim and the brand new drum. We were stranded for over 4 hours waiting for a mobile unit to come and bring us a new drum and lug nuts as we couldn't even put the spare on as there was no way to attach it. We have spent every time we have pulled it since then trying to get the brakes readjusted and now have it in the shop because the brakes were constantly smelling hot and the tires were very hot. He not only ripped us off but has caused us 100's of dollars more trying to get the brakes fixed again. Thankfully we didn't wreck or have our tire hit the other oncoming vechile when it blew past us while we were doing 50mph and crossed over in front of the oncoming car. DO NOT USE HIM!

To find a mechanic to work on any inboard jet drive is near impossible unless you go to the dealership and pay premium rate. You can ask any sea doo/ jetski owner how frustrating it can 0be to find someone to work on your jetski or boat A-1 Outboard repair to the rescue! It needed a complete rebuilt, 3 pistons were completely shot. Took them approx. 1 week to get the pistons, rods, rebuilt kit etc delivered to their shop. They serviced the old injectors since they have the equipment to do it saving me a ton of money. In addition they rebuilt my jet drive at the fraction of the cost a dealer would charge me. My boat was ready for the water in 2 weeks! This baby now planes out fast and top speed is 52mph (a lot faster then when I bought it!). For a 22ft deck boat that is very fast. I highly recommend A-1 Outboard for any issues you may have with your boat. They'll tell you exactly what's wrong with it and provide an estimate for repairs. Unlike other boat repair shops A-1 Outboard Repair has the equipement and software to diagnose your engine or electrical issues.
