It looked like a stunted barge that purposefully beached itself to be scrapped. Instead, they put offices in it. I shook off the rain and limped like a lame dog into the main passageway towards the elevator. Startled, I caught myself in the mirror looking like hell having worked a marathon week in the office. ::thump:: The elevator drops a few inches and hesitates, realizing I didn't give it a command. My knee groaned like an old tree... Realizing that I too didn't know where I was going, and that I once again forgot the name of this place, I looked around and pressed the G button... for garden. I slowly descended into the dark cargo hold trying to make myself look less homeless in the mirror. The office was quiet and warm. I was now having fleeting flashbacks of a ship I once explored while in Russia. The giant receptionist desk dwarfed the chairs in the waiting area, which made my debilitated knees feel like they were right against the desk. Another patient walked in and sat unnecessarily close to me. I could see him looking at me in my peripheral, maybe ascertaining if I was indeed without home. I did what any good Seattleite would do and ignored him, frowning deep in profound thought. I saw candy canes in a basket, which reminded me of my late father who suffered from type 1 diabetes and had lost both legs. My mind flipped towards my own immortality and my genetic predisposition for diabetes. Halfway through the delightful candy cane, I worked my cramped left hand across a clipboard filling out paperwork. I was called back and met the owner, who was cheerful, friendly, and in way better shape than myself. He sat me down in what can only be described as a 1930's lobotomy chair. I couldn't stop playing with the levers and knobs in wonderment. I saw a painting of a ram that made me ponder if I could handle staring at it while on mushrooms. On my way out I felt good, refreshed even. I looked to my right and a secret door had appeared which lead right outside. Shuffling up the steps, I was thankful I didn't have to look into that mirror again on the way out. As I clumsily thrust myself back across the parking lot, I kept looking back towards the Soviet ship, trying to shake the feeling of that ram in the painting watching me. I had torn ligaments in it that required surgery for which I had replaced with donor tissue in July 2025. I was impressed with their professionalism and friendly demeanor that made the process to relearn the use of my elbow calm and comfortable. I recently completed my time in their clinic this October with their seal of approval lol. I am now on my way to the next phase of my recovery on getting used to lifting weighted things on my own with current work limitations in place (until possibly December 2025 or later depending on my doctors approval). I can pretty much bend elbow normally as of Oct. 2025 so that's a goal met, and I can pick light weight things up without any major discomfort, but like with anything, it will take time and patience to continue strengthening my elbow before moving on to heavier, more physically demanding things I was able to do before. I want to thank everyone there who helped me out. You all helped provide that extra positive energy in the healing process. I will miss working with you all. He's a great man who's earned my respect over the nine years or so that he's been my PCP. My wife's PCP is Danielle Daehnke, PA-C, who she likes as much as I like Tony. Danielle has proven to be a PCP my wife trusts implicitly. She listens to my wife and answers all questions. Well, sir, it happened here. A dermotologist had recommended I see Dr. Sarah Neitzel for podiatric care and I had my PCP send a referral to her. When the office called to schedule an appointment I was told I'd be seeing her partner, Dr. Jarod Spencer instead. I agreed to the change. This is why it always pays to be open-minded. The office visit with Dr. Spencer was superb. Very friendly guy with an easy manner who really knows his stuff. We talked about the foot thing I had an issue with a slightly-regrown ingrown toe nail He gave me several options including two options for cutting the nail thing out. We agreed I'd try the options and then follow up in a couple of months. Have you ever been given new info and felt your brain expand with that new knowledge? Only me, huh? Well then, OK, let's continue. Anyway, my brain expanded after absorbing that new information. But THE best thing about my appointment with Dr. Spencer? Not once did he leave the exam room to check on other patients waiting in other exam rooms. I've gone to two single doctor podiatry practices where the one guy would be bopping back and forth between several rooms. So not only are you waiting for the guy to come back and finish whatever he started, you worry and hope that the guy remembers who YOU are and what your situation is and doesn't confuse you with another patient. I've had a past podiatrist say to me upon his return to the room, "OK, where were we? Oh yes..." Those guys are hyped up to begin with because they have to be in order retain sufficient energy (and hopefully mental focus) throughout the day--every day. Dr. Spencer was calm, friendly and professional. He was at ease which put me at ease--and this was our first visit. So, from now on, he's my guy. And since I've got various foot issues, it's comforting to know I found a great podiatrist I can trust, and well deserves this five-star rating.

They gave me different therapists almost every time I went there. During each visit there my therapist would also be attending to multiple other clients. There is no patient client dedication, which I feel would be important for recovery. Sometimes they would assign a trainee or assistant as a sole caregiver. I felt they were neglectful in their duties and stopped going there. They had been charging me a standard co-pay at each visit without properly billing my insurance. After I stopped going there several months later, I saw they eventually got it figured out how to bill insurance properly. On my insurance statement I saw that in addition to a charge for my standard visit they were billing for other miscellaneous fees which physical therapy doesn't normally charge. I am very disappointed with highline and I do not recommend them.

But when I originally got injured, I went to physical therapy and had a great experience with a gentleman named James Aiken who fixed me up the best he could and I was on my way. Over the years, I've relied on him when my back was getting worse again from stress or a tweak. It probably didn't help that I didn't do the stretches or workouts at home that he recommended Fast forward to today, he recently opened his own clinic and it is one of the nicest I've seen! It felt great to get adjusted and worked on again. And on the way out, they gave me a Gatorade and granola bar. Healing my back and my stomach! I don't recommend you get injured, but if you do, this is the place to go for recovery. Maybe this time, I will listen and do my at home workouts... probably not though.
