She was also very knowledgeable, which helps because I have Lipedema (NOT Lymphedema) and many don't know much about Lipedema but she does. BUT their problem at the Snohomish location is the front desk person, Tori. She is incredibly RUDE. First of all, my first appt last week, I walked in, smiled, greeted Tori and said who I was there to see. She frowned, had a grouchy tone of voice, handed me a TON of paperwork to fill out, which I did, and when I was done, told me that Maggie would come get me. Now first of all, besides Tori - please people ... SEND THIS STUFF TO PATIENTS IN EMAIL! For heaven's sake. I have essential tremors so writing is difficult. My husband was with me and had to help me fill all of this out, which included medical history, list of meds, etc. It took me about 20 minutes to fill all this out, which put me at 5 minutes PAST my appt time. :-( Maggie came to get me and things were great them. But then Tori handed me a list of my next 5 appointments when we were on our way out. OHHHH KAYYYY. NO ONE - AT ANY TIME - consulted with me to find out what would be good days and times to come in AND we had to get out of there because my husband had a work meeting to get to. When we got home, we set the list of appts down and forgot about them until Sunday. My bad. BUT ... they were ALL for Tuesdays in the early morning. We normally don't do Tuesday appts when my husband has to go with me because he has to go into the office on that day. He took this day at home for THIS appt. AND I have some medical things that make mornings my WORST time of day. I try to make all my appts after about 11:00 am, later if possible. I am in so much pain in the morning that getting going is insane. So on Sunday we faxed them to cancel all those appts, stating we will call to reschedule. So this morning (Monday) I called. Tori was SO RUDE! When I asked if she got the fax, she didn't even answer me. When I told her I need to delete the these appts and reschedule them, she RUDELY AND STERNLY said "ALL 5 OF THEM!!!" I said "Yes, all 5 of them. Also, Maggie only needs to see me for one or two more appts and then I'm done anyway." (This is because she teaches us how to do MLD at home on our own. This is common with this therapy. So then Tori asked me what time tomorrow I could reschedule for, I was looking at my calendar and finally told her 1:00 pm. THEN she tells me Maggie doesn't have ANYTHING until April 10th. REALLY??? NOW YOU TELL ME!!! How about "Maggie doesn't have anything until April 10th, so what would be your best days and times after that?" Tori has no business working the front desk of ANY business. She gives them a bad name. I have read other bad reviews from people who won't go back to this location BECAUSE OF HER. I won't either. I cancelled all my appts and I will go to another clinic, even though I have to drive twice as far to get there. I know I will be treated well there because I've been there before. I chose Summit because it was closer. But Tori was the straw that breaks the camels back. Summit should find someone else to work their front desk. She is the FACE of Summit in Snohomish and she makes them look VERY BAD.

Then I get a text she hurt her arm and needed the day off. I understood. Then soon a text for a week off. Then a text that it wasn't known if she was coming back, but she could give me one day in her schedule but couldn't vacuum. Her schedule? I thought she couldn't work? I will NEVER help another aide or their family again. If I could get back the two big totes of blankets & quilts I would. Just left me to struggle as my knee tendon tore, I had a TIA & heart attack & have to have the other knee surgery. I've no help at all. I was offered a "backup"man, but I said no thank you. At least the head lady at Aging & Disabilities has given a better way to find a professional aide. I used to think highly of Serengeti until I was left feeling used.

They are dependable (without exception) and are able to be flexible when needed. I write this after 6 weeks of 5 days/week, 8 hours/day service from them. My husband and I each wholeheartedly recommend this agency for anyone needing temporary or long term care in their own home. A little history: We thought we had an arrangement with another home care agency, but due to questionable agency practices, we did not hire them. This, unfortunately happened a week before I needed knee surgery. My husband, the client, cannot be left alone and needs some assistance that I wouldn't be able to provide. I called Serengeti purely based on their reviews. The manager, Tanya, came to our home the next morning. Based on our impression of her and how she described their services, and on the quality of her assessment, we signed up that day. They started immediately on the date we needed them. They did not disappoint. The aide that Tanya matched up for my husband was well suited in personality as well as in her compassionate, competent skills. Gina (our aide) is a lovely, warm woman who is a pleasure to have nearby. Her primary job is to keep him safe and she does this well. She, also, helps him as needed to do his physical, occupational, and speech therapy homework. She does light housekeeping (laundry, dishwasher, tidying up, etc) as needed when I am around to insure ongoing visual supervison. We wish we had hired Serengeti sooner. I sleep better and am more energetic. I don't have to do it all. We also cannot say enough good about Tanya, the manager. She is "johnny-on-the-spot" and has helped us expedite insurance requirements. She has also called them on our behalf. She is a dynamo. Her daughter, Tanika, is equally helpful. Another aspect of this agenct that bears mentioning is that they treat their employees -- all vetted -- well. When I read employee reviews of Serengeti, the phrase I read most was that they were treated like family. Tanya and Tanika have set the atmosphere. (Our aide finds this to be the best home care agency for which she has worked.)

Bringing a loved one to a nursing or rehab facility is nerve-wracking, especially after a long…read morehospital stay. After our mom spent over two months in the hospital, we were anxious about this transition. This facility has been nothing but wonderful. Brittney, the nursing director, has been incredibly supportive, and Kristin in social services has been amazing to work with. Gerald and Maria in activities go above and beyond to encourage our mom to have some fun during her stay, getting out of her room had been so great for her mental health. Our mom especially loves Bingo, which has brought her so much joy. She also had her nails done which made her feel so good! The rehab director is also amazing and truly invested in patient care. Everyone is quick to respond to questions and needs, and they genuinely focus on making our mom's stay as comfortable and positive as possible. We are so grateful for the care, kindness, and compassion shown to our family.

The administrator was rude and abusive to my spouse and me and attempted to financially extort me to private pay even though she had a pending medicaid application. I filed a complaint with the state. The state investigator said that this was illegal and represented an ongoing pattern and practice of financial elder abuse and fraud, as this was done recently to many patients and would lead to a serious fine and possible termination of the certificate to operate or accept new Medicare/medicaid patients. Additionally, they were caught lying to Adult Protective Services personnel and other state investigators. Do not send loved ones here Response to owner. Lying to a Washington state adult protective services investigator should be a crime, but unfortunately, it is not. If there was a claim of any kind of elder abuse, and it is already a confirmed fact that the staff will lie to protect themselves and the owner of this company. I repeat, do not send loved ones to this facility as their safety can not be assured from abuse of any kind. This facility was issued 3 citations and fines for the abuse of an elder in my wife's case

The PT told me that they were terribly understaffed and she looked like she was ready to cry. After that visit, I decided to go to the trouble (and the new wait time) of getting a new referral for a different rehab place. So now, a month later, I get a bill for "services" totaling over $400. Services? For what? I would suggest you find a different PT office, if you are looking for help. Summit on 19th Ave, Silver Lake area may have been a great office 6 months ago but in my experience, it was a huge waste of time. I WILL be disputing this bill!!
