He diagnosed it really quick as the battery wasn't charging properly hooked it up to his diagnostic tool. Gave me a fair price told me he can get it fixed within the hour. Came back my phone like new and my normal daily life restored! Thank god for these guys life savers and they don't charge ridiculously prices to fix. I brought my phone to Maui Cell Phone Repair to fix a simple issue with the power button. What should've been a quick repair turned into a month-long headache. After dropping it off, I didn't hear anything for over a week. I had to call them, only to be told the part they ordered was wrong. Another week went by still nothing and when I called again, they admitted they ordered the wrong part a second time. Finally, after weeks of silence, they said the right part came in. I dropped off my phone again, and while the power button was fixed, my speakers were suddenly blown when I picked it up. They admitted it "could've been" their fault and promised to order a replacement speaker. It's now been over a month with no update, no call, no message nothing. At this point, I had to buy a new phone. I could've saved the time, stress, and $104.70 if I had just watched a YouTube tutorial and fixed it myself. I'm a business owner myself. Despite the good service I feel they take advantage of the position you're in. Similar to supply and demand, I understand now why the charge for every single thing. All in all my phone works, I caused the damage, it is what it is. This is a $200+ lesson learned. An $80 diagnosis and $130 screen repair. If I was home, I would have just paid my insurance $150. There's no sympathy or empathy in business, at least none here. The store employee and the owner gave me an update every hour I anxiously and obnoxiously called to check. I would have listed ZERO stars if that were an option. I have never, ever been treated so poorly as a customer. My phone was fixed in 25 minutes, which was awesome; however, 2 days later it started to malfunction, leaving me with a completely black screen. After paying $250, I was frustrated that my device was not fixed properly and returned to the shop. They advised that they dont know what happened, and that the part for my phone was out of stock for a couple more days. The man I interacted with was highly demeaning and rude. After expressing my frustrations, the man who assisted me responded with "Well what do you want to do? You want to go grab your gun and shoot me?!" I was appalled that anyone would ever talk to a customer like that, ever. He was the exact opposite of Hawaiian hospitality and did not represent customer service well at all. Another excellent experience with Andrew. This was my first visit to this shop but third or fourth time working with Andrew. I dropped my iphone x and broke my screen this past weekend, Andrew outlined all of the options I had including Apple Care (which I wasn't sure if I even had, I didn't) phone insurance through my carrier (Verizon/Asurion) and a screen repair. He walked me through every possible scenario in detail, how my warranty would be affected, producing the apple user agreement, recent customer histories and even calling another shop and encouraging me to confirm whether I had the Apple Care or not (I had to check with the original Verizon store, Apple or Mac Made Easy also couldn't tell me.) I ended up going with a repair. He even offered to help me back up my data if I decided on going with an option outside of the shop and this was all after he'd already put a new screen on my phone while I was gone, which I'd asked him to do. Brought in an old iphone 6 too (that I had also broken) and the repair for that phone happened to be on sale. Super inexpensive. That took maybe 5 minutes altogether. Received a very reasonable quote for a broken ipad air screen too. As an aside, I'd brought my apple computer in as well in case I needed to back up phone data, it was so full that it was barely operating. Andrew and I had a conversation about what was the best option for me to free up space on my computer, I ended up just upgrading my icloud and he even explained how to transfer stuff over. I came in with two broken phones, surplus data and a barely functioning computer and left with all of my issues resolved quickly and affordably. I've consistently received extremely fair, expert, affordable, customer oriented service in every interaction I've had with Andrew. Highly recommend. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable! The manager was very sympathetic to my situation, my iPhone 6s+ suffered water damage during a snorkeling incident on my vacation. (Never trust a glorified ziploc bag!) He took apart the phone, saw that it had a week's worth of corrosion from dried out sea water. Nevertheless, he cleaned all the ports, hooked it up to a fresh battery and his own screen, and a bunch of other stuff. Basically did EVERYTHING possible to see if he could resuscitate my phone just long enough to retrieve my pics and videos. All this, and in the end, he handed me back the phone and apologized that there was nothing he could do bc the phone was so fried it won't even turn on. And when I tried to pay him for what EVERYONE on the mainland would charge as a diagnostic fee, he said, "I wasn't able to get the data off the device for you. So no charge." Are you kidding? On the mainland, that'd be at least $35! To limp by for the remainder of my trip, I borrowed my F-i-L's old iPhone 5. But something was messed up with his screen (sticky keys, gets locked up and freezes) and the battery would register 40% one minute and then die on me the next minute. I left both devices with him while I shopped at Costco. A little while later, I got the call that he was done. We came back from shopping, and as I said, no luck with the 6s+, but as for the 5, he changed the battery (which was $50 -- $15 CHEAPER than another business I called) and he said there seemed to be nothing wrong with the screen. A dishonest guy could have changed the screen anyway (or even PRETENDED to have changed the screen, cuz really, how would I know?) just to make an extra few bucks, but this man stays on the straight and narrow. I came in about a charge port fix (iPhone 6 plus). He took the time to take a look and cleaned it. It worked but was sporadic and so we went and changed it out. It was $65, as quoted and took about 20 minutes. Really friendly service and gave some pointers, basically don't take it to the beach. If I must, keep it in a plastic bag or an otter box. Best service ever! Paid $85 to replace my iPhone battery in August 2016. Battery started to die again in December, and then again last week. Went in both times and they replaced The lifetime warranty battery for free immediately. After repair my phone didn't work at all because it just kept rebooting, constantly. They use off market parts not apple approved parts. I've got an IPhone 6+ that I had repaired somewhere else that I won't mention and the repair caused "touch disease" because it was a full aftermarket part. Brought it in to these guys and the owner (Yori) took his time diagnosing it and didn't charge me a thing.
