So fun! I was looking for something different to do for my bday and kept hearing about Goat Yoga. So we gave it a shot! I've never done yoga or been in close proximity with a mass amount of goats before and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. When you arrive to the property you will need to park on the street and head down on foot. You're greeted by the owners, where you can rent a mat for $5 (if you don't bring your own). There is a little spot for you to put your shoes and belongings and then you head in to the gated yoga center. The views are amazing! Before the yoga starts, one of the owners gives a little pep talk about the property, shares some history with you and has some fun trivia questions. He was really good about going around and getting pictures of everyone throughout the experience too. Right away it's a light environment and it's pretty clear that it is completely okay if you prefer to chill with the goats and not get an intense yoga session in. Our instructor was patient and really took her time with us, with all of the goat distractions going on. The goats are not shy at all. One of them perched on my partners mat the entire time. Others came and went. I looked around at one point and almost every person had a goat or two on or next to them. All of the goats are clean, friendly and super cute. I was a little nervous about them getting on my back, but it was fine! So glad we tried this out! Definitely recommend for a fun day in the country. read more

This was our second visit to Maui Goat Yoga, we came back 2 years later with more of the family. The goats are so adorable, cuddly and playful - one of the goats (Arial) just plopped her head in my lap the whole class just to get some neck scratches. The view is stunning and Wendy and Kai are such kind and generous hosts. Don't expect a rigorous yoga class, the yoga is kind of secondary to the joy of the goats, but they state all that up front. I have to admit I was more into the goats than the yoga but my hips loved the experience, I think my body would appreciate more stretching. Put this activity in your must do list for Maui! Scenery - on the slopes of the volcano, just a mile or so from Oprah's mansion - so you know the view is absolutely amazing. Worth the entry fee just to have a chance to sit and gaze out. Yoga - they take yoga seriously, and have a talented and calm teacher, so you get some really relaxing yoga in. Goats - that's what you came for; right? I dare you to not laugh and smile when seeing the antics of the goats and getting to cuddle with them. They'll even jump on your back while you are in tabletop pose so get your cameras ready. Plus, you can tell the goats are well cared for and loved. I've always wanted to try goat yoga so when I was headed to Maui for a trip with friends, I made the request. Being great sports, my friends said they were willing to try it out. Maui Goat Yoga is located in Kula and you must make a reservation. You can rent a mat from there when you arrive. First off, I was so impressed by the view of the Maui coastline. Just being outside with the view was amazing. Then you throw in a great yoga instructor and miniature goats and it couldn't get any more fun. The class starts with goat etiquette followed by about 40 minutes of gentle yoga instruction. One of the cute goats took its place on my mat so I did very little yoga, but I did enjoy just hanging out with the cute goats. After the yoga instruction, there is more time for goat cuddles. As to be expected, the goats will pee and poop wherever they want, but Maui Goat Yoga will change out your mat if needed. I was also pretty surprised that the goats didn't smell as I have experienced that in the past. If you love animals, this is for you. read more

Best time doing yoga with the goats. Really, who would have thought? It's one of the many highlights of our recent trip to Maui and so glad we were able to book it. Booked on line , with signed waiver and received confirmation via email. We got to the farm about 15 minutes prior and had plenty of time to get settled, meet the friendly staff. You get to choose pretty much where you want to be depending on how many is in your group. It lasts about and hour including instructor intro and a little bit of history. You get a chance to take pictures during and after the class. Lots of merchandise too which you can expect to be a little expensive, from stickers, water bottle (which I got), T-shirts and more! I booked this adventure literally just to see the look on my mom's face when we showed up. Honestly though, it was super fun. Owners Kai and Wendy welcome you to their home. In the backyard there are breathtaking views and the little goat and fancy chicken farm. Kai gives an opening to set the vibe - heavy on fun, light in yoga and then Megan, a certified instructor takes over. Her style is perfect for people looking to relax, take selfies with goats, and enjoy the view. The goats wander around and jump up on you. Giggling and pictures are encouraged. At the end everyone was given some treats and time to take more pictures. We rented the yoga towels for an extra $5 each and it was worth it. It was a great activity and good for the soul. Everyone left smiling. Tip: Google the address ahead of time. We stayed on the other side of the island and knew that the drive would be about 1 hr 15 min. The location was a bit tough the find (luckily other cars were parked nearby so we knew it was the right area but more signs would have helped) but the staff were so incredibly kind and thoughtful. I was experiencing some morning sickness and they made sure I had a spot right by the exit in case I needed a quick getaway (which, I did) and made sure I was okay. The yoga instructor seemed fine (I've only gone to 1-2 yoga classes ever so I have little experience on that front), but the main reason to go is of course to play with little goats. :) read more
