He had an amazing adapter. There's a slide on the side to adjust the voltage from 12 to 24 volts. My computer runs on 20 volts. But wait, that's not all. There are 34 attachments available, all of which come with the adapter. If you can't run your computer with one of those, then you might have a Mac.
