The lap lanes have extended farther into the pool area, closing off the deeper end of the pool, and reducing the available areas to only a small shallow section. Very disappointing. It's all good if that's how you want to run your operation, but you are misleading the public with these restrictions. Whoever is overseeing this should provide accurate information outside of the building and online.

Aron has such a warm approach and enthusiasm, as well as a contagious confidence that helps little ones adjust to the water. Coach Aron is very sensitive to what his students need at any moment. Leo is advancing well in learning to function in a pool, because Aron is such a good teacher. I'm impressed after observing him at work and I commend him and thank him wholeheartedly.

My son is young and has a tendency to not listen. He is a quick learner but easily gets bored and wants to entertain himself. I've tried working with the staff and to communicate with them, which always got dismissed. In the beginning we had a variety of different instructors due to changes in staff or make ups. One instructor would kick my son out of class because he would go under water and play while the instructor was with other children. Others would scold him or ignore him and not provide him the same attention and instructions as the other children. Which causes unsafe conditions for my child. There was one incident where we intervened and pulled my son from class because he was not listening and the instructor was clearly overwhelmed. We recognized that our son's disruptive behavior was not ideal for the other students. The school reported us to DCS for child abuse. Parents shouldn't walk into this place in fear of being falsely reported for child abuse. My son doesn't listen. We left it to the instructors to correct and when one instructor was having a very hard time with him we intervened and pulled him from class. Somehow that counts has child abuse because we pulled him by his arm out of the pool as he tried to go under water. This place is a joke. Don't come here if you want your child to learn how to swim.

They stole a couple hundred dollars from us. Multiply that times multiple customers, and they are thieves of thousands of dollars. Even if they did not have the cash in hand still, as can be the case for small businesses, the response of integrity would be to meet families at a city pool for the remainder of the lessons, and provide the services for which payment was received. Instead, Garrett Armstead the young man who owned the swim school decided to not end things well. He become a thief, and is now hiding in his back yard, afraid to show his face in public. He did not treat others as he would want to be treated. He never even apologized. Garrett: It's time to man up to your responsibility.

Really the only negative is there is no room for all the parents to sit and enjoy- and the areas there are to sit, are hot. It would be perfect with covering over the sitting areas that aren't just by the door. You can tell when the instructors get frustrated, but I don't hold them to that. Every one has bad days.

My 6 year old went from not being able to swim at all to swimming freestyle and back stroke the entire length of the pool. My three year old is now swimming with her kick glide half way across the pool. The instructors have all been very nice and helpful. I screamed for the instructor to 'Get Him!' as did another parent who was there for her child. The instructor made his way back and all was fine. But, it was a very scary moment and I realized that the instructor should have never had his eyes fully turned away from my child. We left and went to another school in town that has adequately trained staff who are never more than arms length from my son and with eyes on him at all times. It has been a year since our incident and I never thought about reviewing them online. Last night, however, a friend told me that her son had about a very similar experience at the east side location. Just in the last 24 hours several friends have come forward to say they had the same thing happen to them. I would think twice about registering my child at Sunshine.
