A week later I tried to back out because I was going to need to move. I also did not feel like the court would hear this case before school started or care. Like all of my concerns, he brushed me off. He said he'd use school as a way to prioritize this. That never happened the first hearing was in Oct. I fired him before that first hearing. Nothing happened for a month and a half. He went on vacation while Ihis secretaries typed up a three-page response. A response that had to be corrected because the information wasn't right. Just one more thing to create work for themselves. If you are a single female I suggest you bring a man with you if you hire this law firm. If you are a single female they will talk to you and treat you like you like a father. Just firing him took weeks and many emails and he called me irrational among other things. He kept all of my $3,000. I think he thought I was going to change mind. It still hasn't changed. I want to thank them for leaving me broke with no money, I want to thank them for never listening, and I want to thank them for treating me like it's 1800 and I need to be married. David J Baines succeeded in one thing only turning me off of lawyers completely.

This firm's attorney maintained an action against an individual to collect funds that the attorney…read morehad held in this firm's trust account for nearly two months. In addition, the attorney's client retained no right to the funds as of the day the attorney acknowledged receipt of the funds into that trust account. The attorney used the legal process to harass the individual for several weeks with a lawsuit his client had filed that sought collection of the very funds the attorney already had. Such conduct is unprofessional and an entirely unacceptable practice. The attorney dismissed his sham lawsuit 48 hours prior to the hearing date and of course didn't bother to alert the individual he was suing for another 24 hours--by which time the individual had filed a motion to defend and dismiss 24 hours prior to the hearing. The court clerk had not informed the individual that this attorney had dismissed the case. That the attorney had not promptly dismissed the lawsuit after accepting the very funds his lawsuit sought to collect is egregious. The attorney maintained a sham lawsuit for nearly 2 months and for this will face an attorney grievance investigation to be held accountable. The attorney is Demetrios G. Kaouris whose peer rating at AVVO is a miserable 2.9, bottom of that category. All the foregoing true facts are documented and retreivable by emailing a request to RalstonAuditors@aol.com.
