While I don't have the experience of being his patient, I do have the experience of being his colleague and I would like to put on record that Dr. Furey has consistently shown integrity, good medical judgment, and respect for his co-workers...including fellow physicians, nurses, ancillary medical staff. As a physician, and as a patient at times, I understand that medical problems can be very frustrating, particularly when they are long-standing and difficult to resolve. I don't discount Brooke's experiences, since I wasn't there. However, I feel this one review of Dr. Furey's care is not indicative of the man and doctor his colleagues and other patients know. Again, I am not part of Dr. Furey's practice and have nothing to gain by posting this. I just feel he is unjustly represented by this one review and deserves to be recognized as the fine physician who has served his community for many years.

There is a popular group that all my friends use, but they don't take my insurance, so I was adrift for a while and could pretty much write a list of doctors you'd want to avoid in the Hinsdale/La Grange area. Dr. Lin was the fourth doctor I've seen in the past two years, and he has been absolutely excellent in helping me deal with a long-term chronic issue. I have never had a doctor take so much time and care in listening to me and answering my questions. He is absolutely outstanding, and I would recommend him to anyone. I also get right in and out when I have appointments with him--never kept waiting long.

She was condescending in her bedside manner. Whenever I had a question(I had plenty, first time mom) it seemed as if she was bothered by having to answer it. I saw her throughout my pregnancy because I thought I didn't have a choice after I was seen by her once. To be honest she ruined the prenatal experience for me(Dr. office visit wise). If this is like your 3rd child and you are treating it like another number to you, sure, go to her but if you're a first time mom find someone else. Someone who at least acts like they care.

So I was panicked to find another of such excellent within the MacNeal system. I thought I would have go to a different hospital altogether especially after Loyola and MacNeal merged. However, in my searched, I stumbled upon Miracle in Dr Porto's office. From the moment Miracle answered my call, I knew this was the right place without a doubt. She took the time to answer all my questions professionally and accurately. Then she worked diligently with me to find me an appointment because Dr Porto was extremely booked up. Miracle's caring, kind, upbeat, charismatic personality was infectious. She represents that office with such efficiency and humility. That first impression confirmed that this would be my new OB/GYN doctor. Consequently, I had every reason to believe that Miracle was an extension of Dr Porto...and I was right. On June 7th, I had my first appt with Dr Porto and she was amazing!!! I felt as though she were always my doctor. She took the time to get to know me and my medical history, answered my every question and concern, explained everything she did during my exam and why, gave me sound health advice and information to make my life easier. Excellent bedside manner!! I met Dr Porto and Miracle for the first time that day...even got a bonus and met Angeles at the front desk. I left that office feeling like I met long lost family. Dr Porto even called me personally to give me my test results! I am soooo please with this fantastic find. I just had to write this review. MacNeal is a great hospital. I would have gone elsewhere if it weren't for Miracle reeling me in with her customer care. These 3 ladies have heart. Thank you for having them on your team. Loyola inherited 3 great assets from MacNeal. Please acknowledge these ladies' importance to Loyola. I don't want them to leave anytime soon. I will definitely follow them if they do.

AHHH! I hate this clinic with a passion they are so unprofessional. The Doctors are okay it's the…read moreway they run that office... How can every staff member go to lunch at the same time? Crazy... What's even crazier is that they call you five minutes before they go to lunch and leave a message to call back, BUT THEIR GONE".. Then in the message they leave to call back they tell you that they changed your appointment without even confirming/consulting it with you. I have never ever gone to clinic where everything revolves around them and the patients come second. Customer service is definitely not there. Every time you leave a visit they have this machine where you choose a face based on your experience but the questions pertain more to the doctors then the actually office staff (which by the way suck).... I swear if my baby wasn't almost due I leave this place, the only reason I stayed was because I liked my doctor.... But that didn't even work out because she had an emergency and had to take a 3 month leave......This whole experience at MacNeal Physicians Group has been the worst of my life.... I hope when I deliver my baby at the MacNeal Hospital I don't have a similar experience.....

I had to write a review in the hopes of discouraging others from having to experience such bad…read moreservice. Today was the last straw. This is for the OB/GYN medical group which includes Dr. Multack and Dr. Ardakani. I recently had my baby at this hospital on the july 26th and was told to come back for follow up after 2 weeks with any of the group's doctors. I come back today having to find a babysitter for my newborn and my husband had to take time off work to drive the 45 minutes to get here. I made the appointment with Dr. Ardakani. The nurse tells me they don't do 2 week follow ups and to come back in 4 weeks. Why couldn't they tell me that on the phone when I made the appointment? This is just the last screw up from them since I will never go back. Staff is grossly incompetent. Back when I got my gestational diabetes screening test I was told by Dr. Ardakani that if I didn't hear from them in a few days then the test came back with good results. I did not hear from them so figured all was well. I hear back after more than 2 weeks to come back and do another test after assuming I'm in the clear. They never call me back after I do the second test and I have to bother them for it. Everything was fine but if I did have GD that was time wasted not getting treatment. Then with my last appointment with Dr. Ardakani she basically needs to leave the office in a hurry mid appointment to deliver another baby. I'm left sitting in the room and no one comes and tells me anything for a half an hour and I finally get up and ask the nurse what is going on and she apologizes and obviously totally forgot about me. If I ever I have another baby I hope my prenatal care will be much better in the hands of a different doctor, staff and hospital. I had to get this out there because they were just repeatedly careless and they need to be retrained or replaced.

Dupage Medical Group has always been my provider and I've never had a problem prior to the Duly…read moremerger. All Duly doctors are in my network from Blue Cross. Duly knows this and in fact charges me the in network fee at the time of the appointment which I promptly pay. Recently, Blue Cross has started saying that my doctors are out of network. They say that it is because Duly has provided incorrect information and needs to correct it. Duly's response to me is that they have done nothing wrong. File a complaint with the insurance company. I have probably spent 10 hours of my waning life on this. It almost seems like somebody made a big bonus slashing the back office expenses for the next hedge fund sale. I guess that trying hard to return Ill gotten insurance proceeds would also have a deleterious impact on net operating income for that next hedge fund sale. I am writing this for 3 reasons: 1. I would actually like some help with this from the company for a change. 2. If there is something systematic in this, there may be many other old codgers who have been paying too much (as I did before I noticed what was going on) because they thought Duly was the same old Dupage Medical Group who they had come to trust. 3. Next hedge fund: Look very closely at how much you'll have to spend to rebuild the decimated back office or refund improper billings. Further, if anyone else is experiencing this in network/out of network phenomenon with Duly, one of the Duly miscues that Blue Cross mentioned to me is that they had a mismatching Federal Tax ID for my doctor. The ID on the billing did not match the Federal Tax ID which Duly had given to Blue Cross. If they don't match, I'm told that Blue Cross considers it out of network. This "might" be an honest mistake with a merger. Saying it is the patient's problem is unconscionable.

In Dr Vega's care, she had a wonderful warm bedside manner and was completely honest and straightforward with how my scheduled c section ( due to high risk) would proceed and the new protocols in place during the pandemic. I've seen Dr. Vega for two years for annual visits since moving to the area. First visit I waited…read more40 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. A month later I hear back that I need to go back in because somehow my tests were invalid and needed to do it all again. That was pretty frustrating but I let it pass. Second annual visit I waited 75 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Clearly they overbook and when I asked when I'd be seen I got a flippant "oh she's very booked." I was very upset I had to take off extra time from work because this office can't manage an appointment schedule. Additionally I filled out at least 7 pages of medical information and still got asked for most of that information when seeing the nurse. What was the point of filling it out then? Aside from the horrid office management, the office itself and the exam rooms are a bit run down/beat up looking. Also by the time I saw the doctor she told me I didn't need to come every year but her front office just say I have to. Ugh. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
