She gets to know her subjects, she provides great suggestions to get the shots you want. She has wonderful locations understands the importance of lighting and works seamlessly and creatively to get hundreds of fabulous shots. When I first reached out to see if she had any availability, I was so so so bummed because on the website, it said that elopement packages would only be available Monday-Thursday after April and our wedding was in May. I tried my luck anyway and submitted the request. Luckily, Laura was so nice and said she would have some availability to do our elopement package that Sunday without any extra charge! I honestly couldn't have been any more excited about it. The entire set-up process with Laura and her website was super simple and she kindly answered any questions we had, including ones about keeping my glasses on in the photos, etc. She always encouraged us to just be us, no matter how shy or awkward we may be and she is super down to earth. During the wedding, we asked her to grab as many candids of our family members as she could and she absolutely nailed it. All of our photos were delivered in a timely manner and they gave us different copies of the same shot for us to choose our favorite from. We felt very lucky to have been able to take advantage of a deal they were offering for late season bookings for weddings. My husband is an artist, I'm a performer, and pretty much everyone in our immediate family and best friends are in the arts. I'm saying that because we chose Laura's business because after looking at countless other photographers and their work, Laura and Ben seemed to be the closest to our hearts as genuine artists with a kind of integrity and strength in what they chose to show in their work. They caught not only the pictures that all brides need like close up with Godmother or "the cake" shot but the caught so many moments that showed the intimacy of my guests interacting with each-other that I could not have possibly have seen. That larger view brought me so much joy. Any photographer can take beautiful staged photos, but it takes a true photographer to capture her subjects' raw emotions on film, and Jen does just that!
