I wanted to share that I took her "Tapping Into Your Intuition" class last Saturday and feel that it was well worth it. I took the class because I wanted to see if I could use my intuition to play a stronger role in my life. Most of the concepts Mara introduced were fairly new to me, but she made them all completely accessible and I can see how each could benefit me in some way. There are several I plan to use right away. Mara's room was comfortable, well organized, and the environment was very conducive to learning. Mara has mastery, enthusiasm and love for what she is doing and for the people she is serving and it shows. She prepared useful and relevant materials that we can refer back to and use henceforth. The participants were very friendly and the group meshed well imho. Mara did a great job of directing conversations and keeping the class focused. All of us were able to share useful information and, of course, Mara shared a number of helpful resources with us as well. The class was pertinent, interesting, fun, and useful. The time went by all too quickly and when it was over, it seemed hard to tear ourselves away.

Appointment days and times are limited, and sessions did not take longer than 10 minutes, and seems to take less and less each time; with the amount you pay, you'd think that there would be more of a check-in and a follow-up rather than just a quick adjustment and an 'adios'. We felt like we were just a numbered item going through an assembly line; so much so that the last (and, final) visit led to both the front staff and the chiropractor to completely forget that we were in a room, waiting. With the wait time becoming ridiculous, we knew that something was off - we left the room and realized that there was no communication or notification that a patient was waiting. How awful is that? I understand that sometimes, mistakes can happen, but the way that this was handled was extremely poor and left a bad taste in our mouths - there was blaming on the staff and absolutely no ownership of the mistake(s) that had happened. Erica dry needled my arm after an injury. I had fallen and hurt my elbow pretty badly. My arm…read moreextension wasn't great and due to availability, it would be a bit before I could see an arm specialist. Erica was able to see me and after one session even she was able to work out a pretty awful knot in my bicep, which was a limiting factor in extending my arm. It really helped my comfort as I waited to see an arm occupational therapist, I've also gone to Erica for a couple of sessions in my back too when I can feel my movement has gotten limited from pulling something. She has great bedside manner and is able to explain everything as she does it. During evaluation, she also explains how my poor life choices have led me to these nasty knots. Needles freak me out but I felt reassured by her showing it to me and letting me know what to expect. Her instructions for aftercare have also been helpful. She's given me different levels of stretches to do post session, and includes really simple ones that I can do without a lot of formal set up/ones that don't take a long time, which makes it easier to do when you don't feel like you have a lot of time in the day. I cannot recommend her enough!

Like so many in our community, I came to Reiki for relief of chronic pain and found myself learning…read moreabout, and finally giving myself permission to engage in, self care. Part of that self care includes consulting Rodrigo Ortiz and Wendy Wisner whenever I need more than I can do for myself. Working with Rodrigo for energy healing has helped put most of my autoimmune conditions into remission for years now, thus relieving virtually all of the chronic pain I was dealing with daily--not to mention releasing a bunch of old stories that no longer serve my well being. With success like that, I started asking Rodrigo to work on my loved ones whenever they needed more than I could do for them. I realize that this evidence is anecdotal and a sample set of 1 (me), but I believe that Rodrigo helped one close family member survive multiple serious illnesses and helped him transition peacefully when he passed away, and I believe that Rodrigo helped another close family member release a lot of pain, grief, anger, and rage that was damaging her health--she is noticeably lighter, brighter, and more cheerful in her day to day life. So of course, as soon as my schedule permitted, I started taking Rodrigo and Wendy's energy healing and intuition classes and discovered Wendy's vast intuitive and healing skills, too--she shows up like the fun, supportive, wise, knowing sister you always wanted but didn't realize you had.
