Pushes everything on her admin at the front desk and doesn't do what she is supposed to do. When questioned about why she doesn't respond, she blames her office staff and her admin and other assistants saying they did something wrong and isn't her fault. Doesn't return phone calls when multiple lawyers are trying to contact her. Constantly says she has family emergencies or is on vacation if anyone ever questions her. I have about 10 instances of this now with her and it is complete unprofessionalism, would never recommend.

If I got a notice or a phone call regarding my case I just passed it on to Tom. He was by my side every step of the way. His gentle presence next to me during depositions was very reassuring, I always knew when to hold back when he would tap my leg to tell me enough said. My case was quite involved and detailed for many reasons. I am self employed running a home care business so loss of wages was a bear to document and a previous injury was ammunition for opposing counsel. Multiple vehicles involved in the accident meant multiple lawyers representing different interest. I could never have navigated the mine field my case was without Tom's great experience. I know I had the best man in my side. I just put my faith in Tom and he never let me down. He won a difficult case and achieved a good outcome for me. They are very good at setting up estate planning, but lack in communication and understanding when dealing with the family after your loved one has passed. I wasn't expecting a warm and fuzzy relationship with the attorney, but some respect and decency would have been nice. If we are paying them $900 an hour I think that's not too much to ask. They were very nice at the first meeting, as this is where they hook you in. After that we were made to feel like a little kid and a bother every time we asked a question. She seemed very irritated every time we asked a question (which she charged for). When I voice my concerned at her frustration regarding our questions they dropped us and told us we were unprofessional. From my point of view if you can't take constructional criticism and learn from it then you don't belong in a profession where you deal with people. They should have apologized for making us feel that way and asked how they could make it better. They didn't, they just got an attitude. We learned the hard way that you don't have to use the attorney your loved one set it up with, you can use any attorney you want that deals in trusts and estate management. We have a new attorney now and they are great to work with. Open communication, very helpful and making us feel they have our best interest at heart. Never felt any of that at Cunningham Legal. In comparison to a solo estate attorney, an estate law firm has greater number of team members who can support your heirs in an organized manner should something happen to you. 2. I felt the quality of the document i.e. legal language was top notch. At the end of the day, you don't want your heirs to go through probate and this law firm can help you avoid probate. 3. Highly responsive team who took the time to understand our needs You may find them slightly more expensive than solo attorneys or online companies, but this is not an area of life where you should try to save money as it can be a costly mistake if your estate plan is not set up properly.
