We bring our daughter Arianna here from Las Vegas to do the 3 week Therasuit Intensive Program. It…read moreis an intensive individualized therapy program that works much better for her than traditional PT and OT. The session is for 4 hours a day (with a short break) 5 days a week for 3 weeks. She starts each day with stretching and strengthening excercises. The program uses a "TheraSuit" which is a canvas-like suit with bungee-like cords attached. The suit is to teach Arianna the correct pattern of movement. While in the suit, she uses a gait trainer, walker or treadmill. She will also use the "spider cage" which helps to position her correctly so she can crawl, sit up or even jump. Every child is different and has different issues. I have seen children start the program not being able to walk without a walker and leave walking out independently! For my child, it helps her to strengthen her core which helps her in everyday life, it helps her have more control over her body (she has involuntary movements) and helps keep her muscles from getting too tight or from atrophying. The therapist here make it fun and she enjoys coming which is why we are repeat patients. Thank you Trevor, Dayna and Chris for all you do!

This required a straight leg brace for six weeks and crutches for another month. All this significantly impacted my ability to properly rehab the knee with the replacement, as well as the knee with the quadriceps damage. I was referred to Pursuit Therapy and Maryann Daniels by a friend, which was a true blessing because her approach was professional, personal, and hands-on. She was focused on pain management and rehabilitation, which was a balance that I did not receive at the traditional rehab center I went to after surgery. My shoulder is significantly better and I believe it is due to the professional work of these therapists. They are very kind, patient and knowledgeable. They always send me home with good exercises to do that I believe have helped as well. I don't always have the same therapist and each therapist I have had has been equally good and experienced. From walking in the door and meeting the welcoming gal at the front desk, to working with my physical therapist, the atmosphere in the rehab facility is very comfortable and upbeat. You really do get personalized attention and I would recommend this place to anyone. Actually, the reason I chose it was because my brother and also a friend of my sisters recommended it. At my initial evaluation, I did not feel that I received the full amount of time I expected for a thorough assessment. I attended four visits, and each time I was seen by a different provider. Because of this, I did not feel there was the continuity of care that is important in physical therapy. Having a consistent therapist who knows your history, progress, and treatment goals can make a significant difference. During my last visit, I requested cupping as part of my treatment. The provider indicated that she would check about whether it could be done, but I never received an answer or follow-up regarding my request. Another concern was that, while I needed to be reassessed, the therapist was also working with another patient. I understand that therapists have multiple patients and busy schedules, but I felt that my reassessment deserved more individual attention. If another therapist was available at the time, I believe having someone assist with the reassessment would have provided better attention to my needs. As a Medicare patient, I take my healthcare seriously and expect to receive attentive, consistent, and individualized care. I understand that a busy rehabilitation facility has scheduling and staffing challenges, but my experience left me feeling that my care could have been handled with more attention and continuity. I am sharing this review not to criticize any individual provider, but to give an honest account of my experience and hopefully help the facility improve the patient experience.

My journey with Fyzical began a few months later, and I was visually dependent for most of my mobility and had extreme dizziness with even slight motions. Working with the AMAZING team at Fyzical, not only was I able to reclaim my ability to handle movement without dizziness and headaches, I gained back my independence and confidence. My physical therapist, Alison Burnham, is the clinical lead and was wonderful to work with. I've have PT for my back a few times over the last several years after being severely rear ended a few years back and again more recently, and have been to different AdventHealth Sports Medicine & Rehab locations each time. My most recent occasion at this location with Alison was by far the best - she is attentive, engaging and seems to have a great holistic understanding of ways to help and heal. I've also done therapeutic massage over this past year with the massage therapist on site, Daniela, which has also been really great. She focuses on problem ares well, notices if something seems to be causing pain, and is incredibly caring. I recommend this location, and especially these practitioners, for physical therapy and therapeutic massage to all!
