This was my go to place for propane refill. I would normally top off all my tanks (RV 30 lb X 2 and…read moreone 20 lb) while I was there. Sometimes, the tanks were more than half full. The last time I was there the clerk was going to charge me more than $50 to top off two tanks, one that was more than half full and the other half or just under. I asked her if that was based upon volume or weight and she stated they normally charge a flat rate based upon the tank size. I conveyed my concern and only then she agreed to charge me just for the larger of the two tanks. I will not be returning to Schatz for propane. It appears that the clerks who fill the propane are either untrained or unwilling to calculate volume or weight or the equipment is broke. Either way, I refuse to be ripped off and pay more than I need to.

One employee in particular (who I believe is from India) has completely turned this store upside down. This was a store I gave my business to just about daily due to their friendly staff. That was until this particular employee made this store unbearable to even enter. Now he is making the broadway store just as unbearable. The minute you come in the front door he isn't working. He then acts like you are a burden when asked for an item behind the counter because it disrupted him blasting an episode of cops from his phone. He proceeds to make up rules of what he can sell on a day to day basis. Example: today he refused to sell me "rolls" of chew. This man himself has sold me over 20 rolls previously when he was less rude and tolerable at the other store when the broadway store was being built. Today it was a "company policy" and he couldn't sell me a roll of chew. This man's customer service is atrocious. He is beyond rude, is belligerently loud and overall just not pleasant to be around. A improvement would be getting rid of this guy period but at a minimum making him work overnights stocking shelves so he doesn't have to deal with customers since it's such a burden to him. If I could give this store zero stars just for this one employee I would. The rest of the staff is decent but there is a night and day difference from this store to the original broadway employees. Don't let this guy single handedly lose business because he feels the need to play chew god and make rules up daily. Took my business elsewhere, as should anyone reading this.

I called the gas station and this young snotty girl answered and came out to tell me I had to exit and start all over again behind 4 other cars! I had already waited 30 minutes behind 4 cars ahead of me! Then when I called to ask what I couldve done wrong so I wouldnt do it again-she sounded exacerbated like I was a moron! That is NOT good customer service! I am now into almost an hr trying to get a 5 min wash!

I was having trouble trying to drop my car and went in person to see if they would be able to do anything and he said since I didn't get it there by eight, he had to cancel my appointment and said I needed it there by eight after we agreed that 10 would be ok then he proceeded to say Two strikes you're out. I'm gonna have to cancel on. You couldn't even get my car in the door. I came into the shop with a lot of dash lights on and an unknown engine issue. Wes found the problem and fixed it for me. Overall time was roughly an hour and a half, which is the time he told me it would take (awesome). When I was paying for the service nothing additional was added except cost of shop supplies used ($3) and he topped off coolant ($3 or so) and wiper fluid ($2 or so). They offered to drive me somewhere in town, and pick me up after, so I didn't have to sit at the shop, although the shop is VERY clean and comfortable.

The building is very industrial and unwelcoming, but there were a lot of cars in the lot. The name says convenience store and I think of 7-11 type store. This is truly a mini grocery store. When they have fresh meats and in house bakery you know it is special. Open the door and you smell the bakery and know you found the right spot for that morning treat. Food Breakfast - Once in a while you need that sugar breakfast treat, and this is the spot in Minot to get your Sunday fix on. Caramel rolls are in sitting in the back corner of the place. Decisions had to be made, first did you want plain or peanut covered. Peanut covered. They only had one 6 pack of those available. Then off to our house, and into the microwave for 2 pieces for twenty seconds to melt that caramel. Heavenly treat went down so easily. Complained how he had just mopped the floor and how the store closes in "a little over half an hour" and kept making comments about how annoying it is for him when customers come in after he just finished mopping the floor. The sign on the door said the store was open until 10 pm so i'm confused why the cashier would mop the floor 40 mins before the store closes and then proceed to complain when customers come to purchase items during open hours... I would understand if we came in 5 minutes before closing..but this was 40 minutes before close. The entire time we were in the store he kept going on and on and just wouldn't stop about how annoying it is for him. We repeatedly apologized for inconveniencing him so much...It made us very uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcomed which was disappointing because that isn't the kind of service we are used to receiving here.
