I don't often write review updates but the service from Connect of late has been unacceptable…read more I use Connect for an account taxi which is supplied by work and Connect have again gained a reputation for constantly being late, to the point where they have been multiple miles away, even after my taxi pick-up was due, often arriving up to 15 minutes late or even longer. I find this to be unacceptable how they will let this carry on across multiple occasions. The service from the call centre also has been mixed, the staff were often rude and claiming there was nothing to do regarding the fact my taxi was delayed and they offered very little apologies. I also find the drivers to be rather unhelpful and rude in some cases, especially those of the black cabs, which is also a shame. Connect Cars make my commute to work like a hell mainly down to their awful time-consuming, and quite often higher pricing compared to other firms such as Star Swan in Middleton and Uber, so I feel they once again deserve a renewed one-star rating.

Booked a taxi today, asked for a fixed rate. Operator sorted this, no issues, when the driver…read morearrived, refused card payment. Instead diverted me to a cash machine and told me he only accepts cash. Explained that I was told by the operators that all drivers accept card. He just repeated "cash is king, cash is king" over and over. Pulled up at the cash machine and then said if I didn't get cash, he couldn't continue. There was a card machine on his passenger seat. He said it wasn't working. Drivers need to be made to accept card if it is company policy.

Average taxi firm. They're not my favourite though. They can never find my house (despite me giving…read moreclear directions on the phone). The staff can be pretty rude on the phone, particularly if there busy (which is no excuse really). I've often phoned up asking where my taxi is and they've lied to me, saying they came and went, even though I'd been waiting outside the whole time. Their prices average but I prefer the other taxi firms in the area. Drivers are generally friendly and the cars are usually up to date and comfy. They also display their driver/car numbers clearly which is useful.

Booked…read morea taxi at 4pm for 11pm (18th September 2019) after the Pixies gig at the Apollo, by chance I looked on the app at 11pm to track the taxi only to find THEY cancelled it without so much as a word - I was left stranded with an offer of one in 30 mins? I declined their offer - I am disabled but ended up walking to the safe place I had parked my car which was a strain on me - My fare would have been appx £3 - £4 and the journey was a quick 3-4 mins, I suspect a better priced journey surpassed any realms of good customer service - I called and was told that there was a staff shortage - so much for the claim of how big they are and well established ?? I had used Scotts every time I came to Manchester, now I won't use them ever again - If there was a staff shortage, why not notify me sooner or reject the booking? I gave Scotts an excellent review a while back on a once only posting review site - so I don't just review when it's bad ... The biggest successes in business are the companies with the ability to retain their customers and never obtain new ones at the expense of existing ones - Very disappointed ...
