Tony sketches your tattoo right in front of you allowing for adjustments and input while he is drawing. I have dreamed of getting an elephant tattoo for so many years and I am so thankful I found such a talented and kind artist to make this dream a reality. I was also very pleased that Tony was able to complete my tattoo, which takes up a good portion of my thigh, in a one 6 hour sitting. I really loved getting pierced by him, I was a bit nervous about this one and he calmed my nerves and really made it an easy experience! I was there once before with a friend who wanted to get his eyebrow pierced and they took really good care of him. I decided to get a couple of body piercings and it was pretty close to closing but they were nice enough to take me in. I got two piercings, since it was get one and get the second one half off. The guy did a great job making me feel relaxed and not scared about getting poked. He placed some markers and if I didn't like the position of where the piercing would go he remarked me. The whole process wasn't too long and while I was getting pocked he kept asking me if I was doing okay. He kept reassuring me I was going really well for never getting a part of my body pierced, except my ears. I felt super strong and brave! The guy was pretty nice and very friendly. That was the reason why I decided to go to The Eye of the Lotus in the first place. When my friend got his eyebrow done the guy who was doing his piercings was just so nice and funny; he totally took my friend's mind off of what was going on. They informed my friend and me (when I got my piercings done) how to clean our piercings. Like I said the joint was really clean and the staff was really nice and very professional. They made sure they did things the right way and they way you wanted.

Candice was super patient with my daughter and explained all the steps to ease her tension. The piercing was pretty quick and done in a very clean and sterile room. I would definitely bring my younger daughter back here to get her ears pierced when she is ready. The cost was about $140 including the jewellery. I found it a little pricey but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end since $100 of it went towards the high quality nickel free body grade jewellery.

We had a bad experience two years ago culminating in an infection and need to remove piercings. Two years later, my mini-me was a little nervous about going through this again but Candice was perfect! She matched the energy and quirkiness of my kiddo and it couldn't have possibly gone any better. Candice talked her through the whole process and was informative. My friend and I went in on a Saturday for walk ins around 2pm (driver got lost and we live on the west side so our plan to get their early failed) and we put our names down in hopes that at least we'd get tattooed the following day. The woman at the front was very welcoming and informative in both person and when we called with questions of concern beforehand. She told us that there were slim chances of being tattooed that day because of there being only one artist in and we were the 4th/5th names on the list (understandably enough, and as expected) but they would call us 30 minutes beforehand otherwise. We went out for a bit and got a call around 4 telling us another artist had come in and if we'd like we could get tattooed that day - to which of course we agreed We went in , I showed the artist (Dale) my drawings and we worked to figure out where and how we wanted it tattooed. He was very good for warning us about the pain - it was our first tattoo - and for making sure everything was how we liked it. He was nice, professional and very talented. I was overall very pleased with how it came out and how the staff was MOST IMPORTANTLY : this location was very very clean and took all necessary hygienic and legal precautions which was also very reassuring. High recommended!
