I have never more happy about a decision I've made. Not only has she drastically improved in just two years, getting a title, scholarships and awards to boot. But, more importantly we've found a new incredible family. These kids and parents all truly care about each other and it's so beautiful. No drama just unbelievable support and great vibes. The teachers are the most amazing humans who truly care about your kid and have a great balance of cheering them on and guiding them to their best potential. I adore every single one of them. They have given my daughter (and I) so much love and support that I'm forever grateful for. I also take their adult classes which has been the most amazing experience for me as well. Yes, it's great fitness and fun. But it has also honestly been such a light in my life on my darkest days and been so great for my mental health. She trained with the Royal Ballet in London, and…read morethat world-class foundation shows in everything she does -- but what makes her exceptional is that she pairs it with a real gift for teaching very young children. Our daughter Millie is 3, and Ms. Poon knows exactly how to read children this age: how to keep them engaged, and how to handle the moments when a little one just needs a bit of patience. She pays close attention to detail and corrects the girls' technique carefully and precisely, always in a way that keeps them excited rather than discouraged. Having seen other teachers, the difference is obvious. Millie trained with Ms. Poon twice a week from April through June for the "Teddy Bear Picnic" performance, which was a wonderful success in front of an audience of more than 500. Afterwards, Millie told us how much she loved both the training and being on stage -- and she's already counting down to the Nutcracker at the end of the year. Ms. Poon doesn't just teach ballet; she teaches children to love ballet. It's a rare thing to find that level of training combined with that much warmth. We're looking forward to many more years with her.

She is always so helpful and responsive, patiently answering parent questions and making sure everything runs smoothly. The school also hosts two recitals each year, and they are always impressively well organized. These events are such a special opportunity for the students to showcase what they have learned and for families and friends to cheer them on. There's a big developmental jump between new walkers and 2-3-year-olds and while our teacher did a wonderful job trying to engage everyone In our class, the younger children understandably needed more support, which made it harder for the older toddlers to stay engaged. I'm hoping maybe smaller or more age-specific grouping in the future, if possible, would help create a calmer, more focused environment for the kids. Also, the routines started to feel a bit repetitive for the older toddlers, which I suppose is understandable, but there was less enthusiasm to participate with my almost 3 year old as our class became a majority of younger babies.

He focuses on making your foundational skills more solid. For a beginner, it's easy to rush to look cool but with Ceech, a lot of patience is involved from him into making a move really solid. This is exactly what I'm looking for from my dance coach -grounding the basic moves really well. In helping his students get to a move, I appreciate the progressive approach he takes into getting to the final move. Not only does Ceech break it down into smaller and easier steps, he also improvises progressive steps that starts from the easier moves that leads to the more complicated moves and eventually to the move we're trying to nail down. He does this based on what he observes real time about your situation and your current dance skills so I actually end up learning the move faster than if I were to just practice the harder move 10,000 times. I also appreciate Ceech's knowledge in dance in general. I also share my experience from my other dance classes with him and sometimes we talk about moves from my other classes as well. You can also learn a lot about the history of hip hop from him, for those who are interested. So far, I've had about 6-7 lessons with Ceech but I do see myself learning from him long term. Highly recommend Ceech to anyone who's looking to get serious about hip hop.

Saw three shows here at the Sunnyvale community theater: Tom Rigney, the Boys of Summer, and the…read moreBest Intentions. Very small theater perhaps 150 seats with huge amounts of parking nearby. Theater is so small so that even with a handful of bathrooms there is no line even for the women's bathroom at intermission. There are only seven rows of seats with stadium seating so that you are well above the road in front of you with no heads blocking your view due to staggered seating. The BEEys of Summer is a group singing songs from the Eagles while the Best Intentions sings songs from the Temptations. Both of those shows were packed with people dancing in the aisles. The Tom Rigney show in contrast was only a third full with no intermission and 70 minutes of straight play. Almost certain that they won't be invited back as it was a revenue loser. My only knock on the theater is that the seats cushions were all shot and needed to be immediately replaced as the springs were about to pop through the fabric into some unfortunate ones bottom!

There was a line outside as they didn't begin admitting attendees until 5-10 minutes before showtime. And the show didn't start on time, rather 15 minutes after the listed time on the tickets. Then a 20-minute intermission an hour into the program. The cute sets on stage and cozy auditorium setting created an intimate environment ideal for this entertaining musical production. Just a single level of auditorium seating made up of standard folding seats, which were comfy enough, provided great views from anywhere. The sound and lighting in the theater were excellent too. Good quality, placement, and output, allowing for an enjoyable experience the audience could appreciate. No photography was allowed during the performance. The concessions stand offered chips, candy, wine, and beer including four types of the belgium voodoo ranger brand. We got the danger beach IPA, along with a glass of the cabernet which was served in a plastic cup with a lid, and we were able to bring our drinks to our seats in the auditorium. We had a positive experience overall.
