Max might just be a genius. I say this in all honesty--he is super organized, friendly to the point where you think you might have known him your whole life, professional, and honest. This is our first home and we were almost paranoid about trusting our financial future to someone we did not know. Max set us at ease very quickly. I want to start by saying that everyone I interacted with at Max Leaman was extremely prompt, professional and patient, especially my loan officer Jori. I was a first time home buyer, so I knew almost nothing of the process. On top of that, the condo that I put an offer in for ended up being non-warrantable which added a whole new set of loan rules and restrictions that most mortgage lenders wouldn't even touch. I was able to secure the loan I needed and get advice during every step of the process. I was able to get a new lower interest rate during closing even after my loan had funded. I also ran into a small complication that needed to be resolved outside of business hours for an offer I put on a place. Jori responded to my email and put time in during her weekend to help me with what I needed. I couldn't have picked a better company to use as a first time buyer. I found Max through this site when I googled "Best Austin Mortgage Lenders." The first thing I thought was "These reviews are too good to be true!" The second thing I thought was "Holy smokes - I went to middle school with this guy!" While I know I might be one of the few individuals who worked with Max and knew him years ago, but what I also know is that he gives the same personal, professional attention to all of his customers.
