Extremely disappointing experience with a brand-new Ibanez guitar bought from Thomann…read more I have been buying and working with music equipment for more than 15 years as a sound engineer and music producer, from both local stores and major online retailers like Amazon. And this was the worst experience to date. The guitar arrived with serious fretwork and playability problems. It had dead notes and significant buzzing around the 13th fret and was completely unacceptable as a brand-new instrument. I had the guitar inspected by a professional local workshop. They found uneven frets as well as irregularities in the neck across different areas of the fretboard. Because I live outside Germany/EU, returning the guitar would have been extremely expensive and impractical. After a lengthy and tiresome exchange with Thomann's support, I was not given any realistic alternative to having the guitar handled by a local workshop. Thomann's own technical team also inspected the guitar remotely by video and told me that full fret leveling should be sufficient to fix the problem. I did not proceed with any repair until Thomann confirmed that I should proceed and that they would cover the repair costs. I followed their instructions and proceeded only after receiving that confirmation. Unfortunately, while the initial dead-note problem was resolved by the fret leveling, the poor overall condition of the guitar led to other playability issues becoming apparent. The guitar now has noticeable fret buzzing across the fretboard when playing chords with normal playing force. As a result, I am left with an instrument that is not usable for my professional work and is not performing as I would expect even for normal hobby use. This is not the standard I expect from a company of Thomann's size and reputation. The support process was also extremely slow and in the end unhelpful. Thomann has now stopped communicating with me, leaving the issue unresolved. If you are purchasing from outside Germany/the EU, I would strongly advise against it, because I personally won't be buying from Thomann ever again. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. LOST MONEY. LOST TIME.

Ich war letzten Monat das erste mal in Erfurt und habe dort dann auch gleich die Chance genutzt,…read moredas J&M Musikland zu besuchen. Vorher habe ich mich schon auf der Seite im Online-Shop schlau gemacht, wie das Sortiment abgedeckt ist. Auch bei anrufen, ob etwas zu meinem Besuch antestbereit ist, konnte mir gut und freundlich geholfen werden. Über die "Streetview" Funktion kann man auch schön durch den Laden gehen und sich Vorweg ein schönes Bild machen. Dann als ich im Laden angekommen bin, war ich positiv überrascht. Selbst bei dieser größe ist das Ambiente des Ladens sehr familiär. Man wird direkt unaufdringlich begrüßt. In der Pianoabteilung habe ich mich dann vorgestellt und gesagt, dass ich schon telefonischen Kontakt bezüglich dem Kauf eines E-Pianos hatte. Der Verkäufer konnte sich daran erinnern und wusste sogar noch, welches Modell gefragt war. Diese kundennahe Betreuung - selbst am Telefon - finde ich super. Da ja viele Unternehmen mittlerweile eine Art "Call-Center" betreiben, was ich eher negativ und unpersönlich finde. Die Beratung lief auch super, man wusste auf die Fragen direkt Antworten. Am besten fand ich, dass ich alle Modelle, die im Laden aufgebaut waren, anspielen konnte und mir selber ein Bild von allem machen konnte. Man hat mir also kein Piano "aufschwatzen wollen". Als ich mir dann eins ausgesucht habe, wurde mir dann noch noch ein Set vorgeschlagen, welches das nötige Zubehör wie Hocker und Kopfhörer beinhaltet. Der Versand der Dinge zu mir nach Hause (200km) ist auch umsonst. Wir haben uns auf einen Versandtermin geeinigt, da ich erst 2 Wochen später wieder zu Hause war. Dann zu Hause angekommen war das Klavier am nächsten Tag da. Also ausgepackt, aufgebaut - einfacher als die Möbel aus Schweden - und erst einmal selbst losgelegt. Als es in die tiefere Bedienung ging, bin ich auf das Angebot des Verkäufers zurückgekommen und habe angerufen. Er hat mir dann alles erklärt, was ich noch wissen wollte. Fazit: - Ein wunderschöner Laden mit einem super Service. - Die Verkäufer sind sehr kundenorientiert. - Immer einen Besuch wert.
