In the late afternoon of Tuesday, November 19, 2024, while driving back to Manila after a hot & sweaty day at Villa Escudero, Mom was craving a watermelon shake. We saw a Max's Restaurant on the road decided and to stop in for some refreshments.
We arrived shortly after 5 PM and found parking right in front of the restaurant. Inside, with the air-conditioned venue was comfortable, temperature-wise, and the dining room was well kept and tidy. Even the restroom was fairly clean. Nearby the hostess counter/podium were tables and shelves where desserts and other sweets for sale were displayed.
We ordered the four below-listed Shakes to go. Only one size was offered for each of our beverages...which was SMALL.
Green Mango Shake (P128) - This was my order. I slurped up my delicious drink with delight.
Watermelon Shake (P128) - Mom was very happy with her beverage. Her craving was fulfilled.
Ube Leche Flan Shake (P148) - Ron Ron said this his shake was good. I believe that there was even some actual leche flan and maybe bits of ube halaya atop the blended ube drink.
Buko Pandan Shake (P148) - This shake received a thumbs up from Uncle Danny
We thought that we were going to be in and out very quickly, but oddly, we had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to receive our order of four beverages. Not sure what took so long since the restaurant was not busy at all with only a couple of tables with customers.
In short, this Max's location is a clean spot that serves a nice variety of yummy Shakes. Might not be the best place to stop by if you are in a rush, though. For a Green Mango Shake from here, I might be willing to be tardy. :) read more
