March 2017, a tooth snapped off while eating dinner. I'm happy to have found a dentist who can see me the next day since I was in pain. He was able to temporarily glue it back until I become permanent at this new job and have insurance. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this dentist is not in my dental insurance network. Two months later, tooth fell off again. I saw a different dentist who glued it back. Thereafter, I visited the oral surgeon to whom they referred me. They were good, but inside me says that I should get a second opinion. Dental office #3, I went to see last month, August 2017. This office was almost great but the insurance/finance gal frustrated me. Not sure whether she really knows what she's doing. Needless to say, I decided to see Dental office #4, Brookwood Dental Center. It's as if I have been "dating" guys who are "nice" but gave no spark, I think I found "The One." Dr. Stegmann did not make me feel as if I'm just "squeezed" between VIP patients. I could sense that he heard me -- me, as a competent person; me, as one who is asking for a caring help. I also sensed his labor over my dilemma (ie costs) versus what is good for my dental health. And he courteously acknowledged the pleasure of meeting me before he exited the room. It felt sincere and not a perfunctory gesture. Then Lisa, the insurance/finance person, came in with her customary papers. I had to stop her after a few minutes, to tell her how comfortable she made me feel and how I appreciate her gentle, knowledgeable, caring presentation of the plan costs. Her want to meet my (financial) concerns is palpable! She was not just pointing out how much I need to cough up. She met me in a way as if she's there to help me afford "this." It was a breath of fresh air to meet one like Lisa, doing her job, with the attitude of wanting to help and be helpful. As I mentioned earlier, like dating, I may have found the Dental Office that I want to continue to see. I am now hopeful that I could once again have a long-term relationship with my DMD and his staff. Thank you Lisa, Jessica and Dr. Stegmann for the pleasant visit.

Everyone mentioned Dr Reti and praised his work. While most of them has gotten different types of procedures done, they all had the same glowing reviewed and opinions of Dr Reti. That being said, I was still extremely nervous going in even though everyone had only exceptional reviews. But Dr Reti and his staff were just amazing. They walked me through everything and made me feel super comfortable and confident in my choice of going to Southwest Oral Surgeons. PS. I had no problems with my insurance and they also asked for all of the information of it prior and let me know that I was covered. I did not have any problems like some of the previous comments state.

They've typically gone above and beyond, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I've had to reschedule my three kids' cleanings a couple of times due to illness, and this time I left work early and picked my kids up from school early to make our 2:00 PM appointment. My middle daughter was delayed returning from a field trip, so as soon as we got her, we headed straight to the office. I called right away to let them know we'd be about 10 minutes late, and was told there is a strict 10-minute policy. I said I would do my best to make it within that window. We arrived and walked in at exactly 2:10 PM, but were immediately told we'd have to reschedule. I explained the situation and asked if there was any flexibility--even just to have two of my kids seen--but was told no. I understand having policies in place, but it was frustrating that there was zero flexibility, especially when we made every effort to get there and communicated ahead of time. What made it more disappointing is that we've had multiple visits where we've waited 10+ minutes to be seen without issue. It felt like there wasn't the same consideration given in return. After years of being loyal patients, this experience was really disheartening, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

I had a toothache with a molar that had been broken for a while that was causing pain so much so…read morethat I had a throbbing headache all the way up to around my eye. Unfortunately this happened the day before a huge snowstorm was coming and a weekend. I asked in a Facebook group where I should go and was suggested Emergency Dental of St. Louis. I drove up there and waited about 30 minutes and they got me in. Dr. Son was the dentist that I saw and he was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. I needed a root canal and a crown. The price was quite shocking at first (as are all dental procedures at any dental office), so I asked if he could just do the first part to get me out of pain. I ended up coming back and finishing the root canal with him about a week later. Things went smoothly and Dr. Son was again pleasant and competent. I felt safe under their care. When I came back for my permanent crown, things went well. The look and feel of the crown was good. I believe her name was Nicole, informed me that I had another credit which I thought was awesome, because so many times companies/offices don't tell you about credits and just leave you to find out later, so I appreciated the upfront honesty. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of care that I receive, and that they got me in quickly for all the separate days I needed to be seen. I would definitely recommend them to someone that has an emergency dental situation.

I had a routine cavity that Dr Chen work on and ended up underestimating how deep it was from the X-ray. She did a botched filling that I had to go in and get fixed and even after that I experienced terrible pain. I couldn't even chew rice. Dr Kleinova even commented how she packed the filling too much. I couldn't even floss without it getting stuck. One day a piece of my tooth came out and I went to the office and Vincent asked me what I did to make that happen. COME ON! When I saw Dr Chen she said there was no hole in my tooth even though I assured her there was. She said it was excess filling. Then a few weeks later when my pain increased dramatically and I couldn't drink or eat on that side without sharp pain, I emailed Vincent and asked if Dr. K could work on the tooth instead and he suggested another dentist. PLEASE IF YOU'RE READING THIS DR. K, COULD YOU PLEASE TAKE ME THIS ONE TIME? I've been suffering with this for over a year now b/c I'm terrified to walk into another office.
