The food is excellent here. Some of the best Chinese in the area. I got beef and broccoli, and hot and sour soup. The beef and broccoli was cooked well very nice flavors. The hot and sour soup was fantastic. Lots of mushrooms, tofu, and flavors that made it great. The low rating is due to me biting into a chunk of carbon that looks like it came off of the wok. This place used to be really good when the former owner was there. It's pretty bad now . The vegetables were mushy. The seafood was over cooked and rubbery. I ordered online and when I saw the total, it seemed alittle high. They added their tip to my bill. I guess hoping you don't notice. If you catch it, you can change it, which I did, to 0! I am actually waiting on an order from them again now. Last night we had some free time so we decided to get Chinese food. My battle buddy asked what did I want and of course I landed on my favorite Mei fun! I love love Mei fun! The noodles were cooked perfectly and the delivery was well worth the wait! They also have the capability to take your card when they arrive to drop your food off you it's a portable card method I love it! I left a tip and everything. 23 dollars plus a 7 dollar tip for Mei fun , lo mein and fried rice. I also requested some extra forks and sirachi no charge! Looks like your typical local Chinese joint and the menu is on par with that but I will say the food was above average for that kind of place. I got the staples, wonton soup, teriyaki beef sticks and singapore chow mei fun. The portion for the mei fun was gigantic too, had I not been a fatass and starving there would've been leftovers. read more

I went today 2/20/22 I haven't been in over a year. Usually has good food but today I ordered general Tso's chicken to get home to see there was a black hair in my fried rice. I don't have black hair so I called to have them replace it. I drove back down to get home and guess what??? Yep another black hair, had to drive down a 3rd time to get my money back. The food was good and service was too. This is definitely a take out joint rather than an eat in. Small restaurant for eating in not bad except the owners kids were constantly playing around the tables and kicking a soccer ball. Found this restaurant on Yelp. Wanted to eat something healthy after a 17 mile backpack trip on the AT. So glad we came here. The place was clean. It was a little busy when we got there but didn't have much wait after we placed our order. The food was delicious. The vegetable soup was cooked just right. I really loved the Singapore Mei Fun. Great little Chinese place in Jonestown. There really aren't any other options for this type of food close by, but this is a solid place with great service. The owner and his wife are real friendly and seem very appreciative of the business and customers that they have. We once ordered some food and took it home and realized that we didn't get a portion of our order...the owner quickly made it to our house and made it right even though we didn't expect them to. Not sure if ownership changed but the quality has gone down. My husbands food was not spicy as advertised, still good, but he was disappointed. Mine would have been okay except for the lack of communication between myself and the server, who I think is the owner now. I wanted pan fried noodles but she kept saying deep fried. And that's what I got. A huge plate of hard ads noodles, shaped like a fryer basket. They were better once I dumped brown sauce on them but still. Communication needs improvement. read more

Not only did the emoyees completely forget an entire entree for my order, when called to rectify the problem the employees were very rude and claimed I never told them the entree needed, which was my own. I just wanted to see if I could get it another day and call it square but when I was called a liar for never ordering my food and that it was read back to me - which it wasn't - I lost all hope to reach a mutually beneficial resolution. Food was so-so here. Lo-mein noodles were slightly greasy and cooked with too much bok choy (I think) something similar to cabbage or celery and the flavor of that overpowered the dish. Wonton soup was okay, lacking a little bit of flavor. Fried rice was bright orange and tasted okay but some sort of cinnamon or allspice were cooked with it. Strange. General tso's was good, I'm told the egg drop soup was good. Crunch noodles were greasy. This would do in a pinch if I was desperate for chinese food and couldn't travel further than 15 minutes away. Standard American Chinese food. Nothing special about the place or the food. All the protein selections have and odd texture about them, except the pork. Vegetables limited to onions, carrots amd peppers. Oh and water chestnuts, everyone's favorite filler. But since it is Jonestown and there isn't another Chinese place close, you can say it is the best around. But better can be found if you don't mind a little drive. I enjoy the food at May's Wok, it's tasty, fresh and wholesome. Asian food should not be soupy or greasy and May's cooking staff understands that. They also don't overdo it on the vegetables the way a lot of places do (I hate that, I like onions but come on...) The pretty and friendly woman in charge is May and the cook also works the counter sometimes so tell him what you like, he's cool. The prices are very reasonable, so I've given this place my first five star rating. Let's eat! read more
