Applied to this company a couple of months ago for a nanny position and Marissa cleary gave me the run around. I had a FaceTime interview with her and everything was fine. I've been a nanny for five years now. However, I kept contacting her about positions and she just never responded. I don't know if it was discriminatory because I'm African American or what, but the vibe I got was highly offensive. Then, I applied for another nanny position on indeed that a didn't know was posted by her. Sometimes you can't see the nanny company that you applied for. She must've forgotten it was me and sent me another message on indeed again requesting an interview! I then texted her directly after that and once again no response. So that confirmed my suspicions. She is absolutely amazing and worked with me to find a nanny that is perfect for our family...and quickly too! She offered to set up a temp nanny while we were interviewing for a full time nanny, but we didn't need to do that because she helped us find a nanny within a week. She has been very professional and responsive. She has given us great choices for nannies and has a great system in place to interview and be able to have a "test run." My son is 11 months and I wanted someone who can be engaging with him, so it was helpful to see them interact. It helps take the stress out of the process so we know who we are hiring. Do not use this nanny placement agency. Marissa is unprofessional and does not have qualified applicants. Her goal is to collect her nanny placement fee 3.5K as soon as possible. She was unable to find us a qualified nanny. Marissa had offered to refund a portion of the placement fee. We recently told Marissa we no longer wished to work with her firm given our past experiences. Marissa has now rescinded her offer to refund us. A summary of our experience with Marisa and MBR Nanny Network in the last 12 months: . (1) Reem (nanny 1 - stayed ~8 weeks) was professional when she gave her noticed and stayed an until we found a replacement. However, my mother invested a week of her time to orient her and I spent a portion of my maternity leave working with her as well. She had very limited new born experience. When this position was posted it was intended that nanny would grow into the position. Two children 16months apart was a challenge initially. It was disappointing that Reem left after we felt that we had invested our time working with her; both when she started and during my maternity leave. (2) Melanie [nanny - 2 - stayed ~ 6 weeks] - Quit via text the day I went back to work. Creating a significant family emergency for us. My employer could have terminated me on the spot because I missed the subsequent rest of my first week. Melanie also refused to quit her part time job or adjust her hours even though it was explained to her several times (verbally and in writing) that she needed to stay until 630pm. Again, I invested my time during my maternity leave in making sure she was confident when I went back to work. (3) Fabiana (nanny 3 - stayed 2 days) put 20-month-old son in grave danger twice (a) she had a heated conversation on the phone with her boyfriend while giving Ewan a bath. We all know a toddler can slip and fall or drown in an instant. (b) was on her phone for 45 minutes while Ewan was outside playing on the street. There are several vehicles that drive down that street. He was able to run down half the block before she realized. Had he gone the other way he could have fallen in an active construction site. Our neighbors brought to our attention as it was caught on their ring camera. (4) Sara. (nanny 4 - Stayed ~ 3 months) My mother invested a week of her time training Sara (she had very limited knowledge of infant care). She completely ghosted us when she broke her collar bone even though we attempted to reach her several times to see if she was OK. She stated that she wanted to come back after 8 weeks. We found alternative childcare. And shortly before she was due to come back said she did not want to return via text. Our temp nanny was gracious enough to stay until May 24th, and literally saved us. Sara then asked me for a reference. Marissa placed the nanny with another family and demanded a reference. We passed the other week while walking home from dinner and she put her head down on the table to try to avoid making eye contact with us. I do not think she was ever invested in the position as she stated several times in her initial interview that she preferred to work with one child only. Nanny 5 quite before the position started because we are moving. We were completely transparent with both Marissa and potential new nanny at time of job posting and interview. Again, this reflects the quality of applicant Marissa is providing families. read more

Is a late review, but last year I came across to this person and she said she was gonna help me to fin a job. After the "interview" on FaceTime. She made me sign the contract. She took so long to reply my messages and calls just to tell me she has a few positions but non of them fitted for me. I never received the messages with the positions like my friends did every single day. So I took my resume and I started looking for a job myself. She pick and choose the people, very picky.
