His friends and teachers at Totally Tots are usually the topic of conversation each night at our dinner table! Whether you are dropping off or picking up you will see either Linda and/or Bill. They are both approachable, supportive, and responsive to any questions or concerns. It gives me such peace of mind to know he is in a safe, nurturing place where he is truly cared for and loved. They notice and remember the little things which makes us feel so special! Since starting here (at 4 months old) my 3 year old son has been very happy! His speech and vocabulary have grown immensely and I can tell his social and emotional needs are cared for daily. I highly recommend Totally Tots! Not to mention it is very affordable!!

I was informed by a previous teacher ( floater) who was fired for contacting DHS that, I should removed my child from this center because a child was injured by a teacher who is still the Lead classroom teacher in the toddler room. However no parents were informed of the state coming out in October 2024. I found out April 2025 from a teacher who was fried. The Director gave ZERO Transparency and she didn't tell any parents. The whole situation is chaotic, frustrating, and traumatic! I myself made a called to DHS to further investigate because if I can't get a straight answer from the centers own Director other than "This could tarnish my reputation" that let's me know what else is being swept under the rug, and not reported in your care. DO BETTER!!! It takes a huge level of trust to put your child in the care of people. As a former ECE teacher myself, I observed very questionable situations, such as the same little girl standing idle in a corner on multiple occasions when I dropped my daughter off. On another occasion, all the lights were off throughout the center at 5:15 p.m. while I, along with two other parents, stood outside calling their phone until an assistant teacher finally came to the door to let us in. Additionally, staffing ratios upstairs do not seem appropriate for the number of toddlers they have. It often feels understaffed, which is concerning for this age group, as they require a great deal of supervision and engagement. On top of that, they allow the toddlers to watch TV upstairs. At this age, children should be learning through play and interacting with each other not sitting in front of a screen. I would encourage other parents to seek childcare elsewhere, and ask them to question them about the incident that happened at the center, and why no letters info was provided about the investigation.

Our daughter is nearly three now and has been here since she was a newborn, and we cannot say enough good things about Tasha and her remarkable team. They feel like an extension of our family, and they have created a warm, caring environment that never compromises on quality or professionalism. She has been through all three rooms, from the infant space with cribs, to the toddler room, to the classroom-style space downstairs for the three and four-year-olds. Each transition has been thoughtful and supportive. The growth we have seen in her, respectful, adaptable, social, and confident, is due in large part to the people here who treat every child with genuine care. One of the things that sets LTA apart is the consistency of the staff. We often hear about daycare centers struggling with turnover, and this place is the complete opposite. The team here stays; they are dedicated, and that stability creates a sense of comfort and familiarity for the children. It makes an already wonderful environment even better. The team deserves individual recognition. Miss Jackie, Miss Yaneira, Miss Jontae, Miss Honey, Miss Samaya, Miss Ikram, Miss Karen, Miss Nafeesa, and Miss Sabrina are all wonderful. They are kind, steady, patient, and trustworthy. They strike the right balance between flexibility and clear boundaries, making daily life so much easier for working parents. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. It has everything a child needs without feeling overdone. The building is secure with key entry, and the app they use makes check-in, check-out, payments, and communication simple. They share monthly learning plans and respond quickly if we reach out. The value for the level of care is excellent, especially given the location. There is also a real sense of community, something we did not find anywhere else. The children are sweet and happy, and the atmosphere reflects the warmth of the neighborhood. The parents are wonderful too, and seeing the same families every morning and afternoon adds to that sense of connection. We love how everyone contributes to the friendly, supportive environment. On nice days, they take the kids to nearby parks, and they celebrate holidays and local events, including big Philadelphia moments like the Eagles' Super Bowl run. It feels down-to-earth in the best way, very much in the spirit of the city. We looked at other options but chose LTA for its convenience, its atmosphere, its reasonable pricing, and the community values it fosters. We have trusted the staff with babysitting and pet sitting, which says everything about how much we rely on them. Our newborn twins will be joining soon, and we cannot imagine sending them anywhere else. We feel fortunate to have a place like this in our lives. I did so and Natasha who is the owner of the daycare made my transition back to work so easy! She was very hands on with Suhayb(my youngest who had surgery). She took care of him with so much love and gentleness! She sent me pictures and answered all of my million calls. I am forever grateful to have had that support while going back to work!! All three of my children grew up in this daycare! They started before grade-school. Their initial educational values, educational concepts, good behavior, and love for learning came from The Learning Train. We attended the school for 5 months…read more PROS: I love that this school is located in the middle of all things center city. The location makes it really easy to get things done. I loved their nutrition program! It's one of the few in the city that provide nutritious meals. Foods my child wouldn't eat at home, he'd try since his friends at school would eat them too. They do not allow outside food in, which is a huge plus for families that have dietary restrictions. CONS: We weren't always given notice of staffing changes. There was a lot of movement while we were there. Our primary teacher left in December. Her replacement left in February. The other teachers/aides seem less experienced. Communication is the primary reason we left. They conducted an observation study on my 4 year old without notice. They alleged there were behavior concerns, but did not inform me of any issues prior to them conducting the observation. I'd pick him up and they would say he had a good day. So you can imagine my surprise when they handed me a folder of notes (they called it data) that detailed the behavior of my child over a 15 day period, across 4 or 5 categories, in 30 or 60 minute intervals. Primrose did not inform me this was happening, what the goal would be, who was involved in taking notes, or how long the period would last. Primrose advised that I consented to such observations at enrollment. After I reviewed their notes, I spoke with the teacher who said she wanted to tell me about it, but Primrose Center City said she could not. So instead she misled me for weeks. Leadership admitted her inexperience, but still tasked her to conduct an observation of this magnitude. Makes sense, right? (sarcasm). Her tenure at Primrose less than 3 weeks before the observation began. The leadership team at Primrose Center City is the only group of experts I've spoken with since this was brought to my attention, that believe they acted in my child's best interest. I do not. I've talked to child psychologists, attorneys, child advocates, behavioral therapists, sex therapists, day care center directors, nurses, social workers, and veterans with 25+ years in education - they do not. Other parents do not. After I escalated the issue to their franchising company, the local team offered a handful of options that could've easily been deployed when they claim the behaviors began. They defended their process. Shifted blame to inexperienced teachers. Did not apologize. Did not ask me what it'd take to keep us there. Read the notes. It's the stuff of nightmares. If true, what parent would want to be kept in the dark about these behaviors for weeks on end? What about the other kids in the class, why would Primrose subject them to such disruption? What responsible educators would not want to work with families early-on? I'm devastated to withdraw my child under these circumstances. Update: Shared these observation notes with our pediatrician. She said they were "unqualified" and "dangerous". So yeah, ummmm, be wary!

The teachers are so wonderful, as my son levels up to the next class, he builds an even stronger relationship with his peers and teachers - the love and respect are so evident. They sing, they dance, they do yoga and they really do do yoga.. my son taught me the "tree pose" okurtee!!? My son's progression on an educational aspect is immaculate. We do our part at home to make sure what he learns in school is practiced. You can't just throw your kids into a school and expect everyone else to do the job for you, team work makes the dream work. My son has severe eczema. His flare up used to be so harsh and painful. The teachers and Mrs Mae did as instructed by our doctor and myself and my son hasn't had a flare up in so long. We have been so incredibly happy with the school, the program and above all the teachers who care so greatly about the kids. We looked at many programs throughout the city, but YCCA was one of the most established, organized and experienced ones we found. My son started with their summer camp program part-time when he was 2 1/2, and while anything new is an adjustment, his teachers were so open to making him comfortable and acclimated that he was soon giving me a big kiss and running off to music circle time every morning. They switch to a new activity every 30 minutes, and I believe the stimulation and level of interest remains high. My son has thrived under the structure and stimulation of their curriculum and brings home crafts he is so proud of every single day. At the start of the Fall semester they began working on a new alphabet letter every week and I'm shocked and thrilled that these preschoolers are absorbing it so well. My son is identifying letters and sounds everywhere we go. The children are treated with respect and in turn taught to respect each other. Communication about your child with the staff is very easy and open. They work with you to help 'raise' your child with concern and love as much as any parent could wish for. The parental involvement is top notch, and the price is affordable and worth every penny for what you get.
