1st time here, came through the drive thru. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a Cesar salad. Both were delicious and my order was specially made, meaning things removed or added. They got it right, nothing was messed up. The Cesar dressing was a different taste than any I've had before and it was delicious. I would like to add the Manager, Dawn, took my order and was extremely helpful and patient as I was asking questions about the menu. I was having issues pre-ordering from yelp/mobile app before arriving and she apologized and informed me that on their main page, they do not carry all items offered because each store carries different things. On the Mobile app, I was not able to remove items I didn't want or substitute items like I could or tried to on the website page. So they might want to look into that issue. Great service. Yummy pastrami. Great to have side options other than fries. Tomato cucumber salad was pretty tasty though the dressing lacked flavor. Huge drinks and staff asked to refill for us and if we needed anything. Prices are a bit higher but the food is good. The dining area is nice and seats are comfortable but it isn't fancy. Stopped in on Sunday 10/18 for lunch. The food was fast & tasted good. Here's the problem - I don't want to see kitchen workers wearing their masks improperly. Don't' hunch over my food, don't talk over my food, don't breathe over my food without your mouth and nose BOTH covered. All the manager did was call out "Put your mask up" as he walked by the pass- thru window. And that was after a guy behind the counter told him my complaint. I did ask to speak to him. If I could give this place ZERO stars that would still be too many. We walked in on a slow night (maybe 15 people inside) and after waiting a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us, we finally placed our order. $40 later we had our drinks in hand, sat down, and waited... and waited... and waited. While waiting for our food we kept hearing "honking" sounds and wondered what was going on? Well, it turned out to be the sound of car horns from drive thru customers who, as if sending us a signal to "get out while you still can", eventually came in, one by one, to complain. After well over 20 minutes waiting for one potato and 3 sandwiches, it was finally our turn, we had enough and decided to get our money back. One person from our party went up to the counter and told a worker that we wanted a refund. He yells back to the manager "another refund", as if it were as common as ordering a salad or a "famous" sweet tea. While waiting yet again for what should've been a quick process to get our money back, servers finally come to our table. We would've refused the food since we were in the process of getting a refund, but it wasn't even ours - three potatoes! Worse yet, they took it back to the kitchen and then proceeded to take it to another table - where it was even missing something. Finally, 35 minutes after walking in the door, we got our "refund" ($36 because, "drinks") with no apology. This was my first time "eating" here and I can guarantee you I won't be back. read more

This is the second time we went to the restaurant. The first time we loved it, great service. The food was really good. Servers smiled and could not wait to help us. This time they were not busy, the staff was grumpy and did not seem like they wanted us there. The lady that waited on us was new and did not know how to take our order. She asked someone for help and they said no they still had 10 minutes on their break. I almost said forget it, we would leave. Someone came over to help, we put order in. Food came and I had ordered French dip, it was dried out beef jerky on whit bread. Yuck, they told me they were out of the rolls for the sandwich, I asked for dill pickle and the girl at counter asked the older lady in kitchen area and the lady yelled at her in front of us. We arrived for an early dinner and there were no other customers waiting to place an order at the counter. The one team member that was staffing the front register appeared to be wrapping up a to go order, did not welcome us at all or tell us that she would be with us in a minute to take our order. two or three other team members also walked through the front counter area but none asked if we had been helped yet. I was seconds away from taking my family and leaving. This was a horrible first impression to make. After 2-3 minutes of waiting she finally came to a register and very softly said she could take our order. The attitude that she gave off made it feel like we were inconveniencing her by being there. After taking our order and swiping my wife's credit card she handed it back and then told us to hang on a second. Apparently she forgot which register that she was supposed to be working on, and we then had to go through the whole ordering process again. After the ordering process was complete, the rest of our experience was fine. the food was good quality, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The other comment I would make is that there was one staff member on break, or waiting to start his shift that was out in the seating area on one of the benches. He had his feet up on the bench for a period of time with his hat pulled down trying to nap. I found this very unprofessional, and gave off a very negative image of the customer service that could be provided. read more

Let me start by saying that the staff out front in the restaurant have been pretty decent many of the times we have been there. I rarely have to wait too long to order my food and most of the time they are walking around getting refills and helping people out. My main complaint about this location is the kitchen. It never seemed like this store got things figured out in that area. It always takes forever to get food out to people and the food isn't consistent. My wife orders the same thing almost every time we go and every time it is different(which is not a good thing) every time. Hopefully they figure something out soon because I would hate to see them close. read more

I want to give more than 2 stars. I want to support local businesses! Unfortunately, I picked up a to go order 5 minutes from closing and things didn't go as anticipated. First, an employee audibly informed the people walking in, "Not sure what you expect when we close in 4 minutes." They walked out as you'd expect. I pay for my food and quickly walk out. I should have known to check before I left because half of my order was missing. To start, Fast good friendly service. Food came out quickly, and accurate. We ordered three different sandwiches, all very good. Two different salads, one had way too much meat and both had wilted lettuce, a little disappointing. I ordered the mushroom soup in a bread bowl. The soup was excellent. The first disappointment was quantity, the bowl was barely dug out. Secondly the choice of bread for the bread bowl was bad, plain bland white bread that was not good. Maybe try sourdough. I went to Mcalisters recently in a party of two. I ordered the turkey, spinach, and avocado sandwich in 9-grain with a side of potato salad. I also ordered a drink. The drink was very large and they had a good selection of pop. They also had lemonade brewing behind the cashier's. The servers walk around helping customers but do not expect a tip because they are essentially just bus boys. The sandwich was very good and the potato salad was some of the best I have ever had. The only downfall was that the meal was 27.87 for two people who didn't recieve that much food. Overall good addition to the dining options in Forsyth! read more

New restaurant that is doomed if the cleanliness and professionalism of the wait staff doesn't improve. Sunday evening visit revealed dirty floors, dirty dishes stacked on a table eight plates high and a wait staff with juvenile attitude. The cashier was frustrated with fountain machine and threw something to the floor in frustration then asked for help from another cashier. Our table staffer was immature and flippant as she practically tossed our plates to us. I'll try the location again but this is not the usual McCallister's Deli that I have experienced in other locations throughout the Midwest. If the home office is reading this, the regional manager needs to review this location for conformity and provide additional training. I want to start off saying I have work 1 year+ at a Mcalister's in the south so I had pretty well expectations of what the place should be like. They weren't busy, and it took a good 10-15 minutes for me to be acknowledged at the To-Go counter. I can tell you from memory what should be go on each sandwich, salad, and spud. My pjck Turkey griller wasn't pressed like it should have been, and wasn't even hot like it had been in the mary chef at all. My spud max was greatly topped, but they did not cut up the potato first like it should have been. You bake the potato, then before all the toppings your supposed to cut into the potato and mix the inside so that way it's easier for the costumer to dig into. I don't think McAlisters would change the way they teach and train their employees on how to make and serve their foods. This was poor service, and poor food all in all. read more

Worst experience ever! Waited almost 30 minutes for our food and finally gave up. Went and asked for a refund. The manager did not say a word and after 10 more minutes, I finally got a refund minus the 4 drinks. No I'm sorry, nothing! There was literally a line just for refunds! The place was almost empty, and people were honking their horns in the drive thru, then finally coming in to get their refunds! There were only 2 workers who appeared to actually be working. When they finally did bring food to our table (while I was in line for a refund), it was the WRONG food! After setting the food down on our table, they took it back to the counter by the kitchen and eventually served it AGAIN to another table. The food had to be cold and old after literally sitting there atleast 15 minutes (with no heat or lights). Don't waste your time! One star is way too many for this place! read more
