Difficult when you need to speak with you clients, especially if it's 120 out or it's windy and cold. One redeeming grace is the older Hispanic security guard who makes your wait tolerable, cracking jokes and very funny. Don't expect to go in and out tho.

Yuma Police Department responded to a call of a domestic dispute twice since me and my girlfriend…read morehave been together and dealing with a family situation. Both times that the Yuma Police Department came out they ASSESSED the situation and performed an investigation and based on my knowledge OF law enforcement procedures and investigative skills ,The Yuma Police DepartmentS investigation resulted in a mediated situation and everyone who wasn't getting along was given directives to calm down and given an CORRECT EXPLANATION OF what the RIGHT and LAWFUL CONDUCT SHOULD BE. both times that the YUMA Police Department came out to the domestic dispute family drama they not only gave the problem a remedy and the solution was found, but them coming was a great blessing and the dispute would have been far far worse had the Yuma Police Department not been there ,five star Stars and two thumbs up thank you so much for your professionalism and quick response to our cry for help

Update. I have filed multiple complaints about not receiving…read moremail. Today over 3 months of mail was left on our door step. Smooshed and seeming like it was left out in the rain. Mailman needs to be inspected to make sure he is delivering mail in the right place and box. It's unbelievable that I would receive a call from your Lead saying that "Maybe you aren't getting any mail." Unprofessional. Constantly waiting on my bank card and having it sent out twice. Only for the post manager to tell me maybe the problem is my bank or we don't have any mail.

Employees were friendly and building was clean, but I am disabled and had heavy packages to mail and there were no counters to set things on in the long line.

Yuma has a great county fair, and they have a bunch of great entertainment, great music ands fun…read morerides. There is a terrific Starbucks for the weary driver, and the service is really really good. They are open pretty late too, which helps a lot when you are passing through to California. I enjoy the Chick fil a there in town, they have excellent service, a super clean restaurant, and food hot and fresh. I have one more favorite spot, Love's gas station, very clean, once they had girl scouts selling cookies, and the petrol is reasonable. I really love their windshield wiper cleaner at the pumps. A very long time ago I went to school in Yuma. I loved my school Yuma Lutheran. I was pleased to see that it has grown and many more children get to attend. I love coming to Yuma, I'll be back soon. I believe that visitors would have a good experience visiting the city.

Some renovations & modernization would improve the luster and not compromise it's western roots. The most modern establishment here is the movie theater. I am sure the town center where the fountain is located is where all the teenies hang out and military men come to pick up chicks. Talk about the wild west! The train station, rail, and bridges definitely give Yuma the old western feel. I can envision during the late 1800s and early 1900s with all the horses, trains, stage coaches, lack of security, and the unfortunate justice system that hung numerous individuals in the prison. I took pics of the prison cemetary, and it contained a few chinese and korean names... To think, these people buried here are a complete mystery. No means to trace their ancestry, why they were here, what they were really accused of, was the trial unfair? and a plethora of questions (not condemnation) that incorporate what us amateur historians called the wild west. Yuma was basically the old school version of San Quentin for District 9 (think 9th circuit board of appeals, but just the Southwest). All this death, mayhem, uncertainty, and rich history, mixture of Native American, Mexican before they were called Mexicans, and pioneer Manifest Destiny East Coast American-European heritages clusterfu*ked into one town called Yuma. What a sad tale for Yuma to be dehibilitated to its current state of affairs.

The Yuma Art center was another place to cool down and enjoy after shopping in a couple of the boutiques. The outdoor sculptures were cute and parking was easy and shaded somewhat in the lot parallel to Ave.
