I told this to the guy who I believe was the owner and gave him a copy thereof. He said he knows how the photos are done, and I repeated that these are new specs and are different from citizenship card photos. So the end product was citizenship card photos with the only difference being his cutting off the white signature strip at the bottom (as it was in those days), and he showed us with his template how the framing was to (citizenship card) spec. He was condescending and rude throughout the process and said that is how they are done and as such would not do them again. So we left without the photos. We eventually got the photos of the right specs elsewhere. I did not want him holding on to our photos so we went back to pay for and get them.

He is a gifted photographer but also an intuitive creator. I went through an exercise with him for a story I once wrote for a local paper and he created a photo composite based on how I saw myself at the time. We "co-created" the photo through an interview and various photo shoots. In one meeting I jumped on a trampoline in his back yard in my pjs to create a flying effect for a portrait. (I sometimes fly in my dreams over city scapes, and he wanted to capture this in our composite). Back at his studio he combined photographic elements on his computer. He describes the end result as a way of making visible the human spirit which is hidden or lost. It's photography taken to a new level as a tool for self-reflection and possibly healing. Kabatoff does much, much more in his studio. This is one of his passionate side projects. They have mass volumes of stock photos and all sorts of marketing work they do too. His space is also a hub for artists to gather and for workshops.

My father-in-law is a regular customer of Vistek Edmonton, but since he lives out of town, so I often go there to pick up his item(s). I love stepping into the store - Vistek Edmonton has an impressive display of cameras and lenses, tripods, studio equipment and of course anything in between. Vistek Edmonton has excellent customer service, very knowledgeable staff and a wide range of service. You have the option of shopping in store but of course online. As I visited the store a number of times, I have spotted a number of items which I'm interested in getting in the near furure!! Definitely a go to store with your photography needs.

The next time the print dint come cut to exact size. And this last time it was sent rolled and had creased marks through it and it wasn't replaced for free. I usually order from a professional lab in the states and never have had a single issue. I tried to give it another chance but wont be again. lots of other businesses for printing that dont come with so many issues.
