My bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were beautiful along with the boutonnieres and all the arrangements. I loved my bouquet and wish I could've preserved it. We used McCann Florist to decorate our wedding, and we had an excellent experience working with her! We didn't want elaborate floral centerpieces at our wedding, but we did want something memorable... so I hand-folded 59 books (3 for each of 19 tables, plus one at our "sweetheart table" and one for the cake table) with different designs. Marcia worked with my vision, adorning the books with blue and white flowers to a stunning effect that exceeded my expectations. We wanted sunflowers to go with our blue bridesmaid dresses, and at the last minute asked her to provide a floral cake topper as well. Our flowers were the perfect balance between minimalist and stunning. I also want to give a nod to this florist's amazing service. Because I was hand-making part of the centerpieces, I wasn't sure how I was going to transport 11 boxes of folded books to our wedding venue along with everything else for the weekend. Marcia made this a non-issue by offering to have her husband meet me at a mutually convenient location to collect the books, which she diligently delivered on the wedding morning. I hired McCann Florist for my wedding in June 2016 at Las Virgenes Open Space Preserve. From beginning to end, I had an extremely positive experience!! I first spoke with Marcia over the phone and later met with her in person to finalize the wedding style and details. She was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process and very receptive to my needs and ideas. Marcia also had great feedback on how to coordinate colorful bouquets with different colored bridesmaid dresses. I was beyond thrilled with how everything turned out in the end from the bouquets to table arrangements to a more complicated arrangement for a tall arch at the ceremony. Her work really made the entire venue and all of the decorations come alive. We were even able to salvage a lot of the flowers to use for the next day our Sunday afternoon get together. I wanted to work with this florrist so much based on the location and her portfolio online. My venue is an outdoor garden setting so I was looking to spend about 3-5K on flowers hanging, arch, tables, etc to really make it beautiful. I spent almost 2+ weeks attempting to get ahold of this place and each attempt I was ignored... would wait a few days, and attempt again. Called and left 3 voicemails, then tried their email and sent about 3 as well. I thought maybe it was a small shop and it was just a matter of reaching them at the right time or something. I needed to know if they were familiar with the venue and set up a time to meet in person. I only got a reply FINALLY when we got fed up and my sister used her work email and pretended to be my wedding coordinator, that got us a reply within hours. Her reply was so short after all that effort, just a " hello. Whats your date and time?". Ok, how about you be a considerate business and return calls, if you only work with coordinators state it on your website. My friends told me to just go ahead and use them now that I finally got a response, but I feel kinda insulted and don't want to work with someone who cant be bothered to answer my calls. I realize my flower budjet is not huge, but I still thought it was enough to not get snubbed by someplace with 2 $$ outside the city :/ this was the first florrist I contacted too... time to start hunting again. read more

A little late to write this review, but I've been wanting to share my experience with others so you all can be aware of the experience that I had. We got married back in Fall 2019. Initially, we were very excited to visit McCann Florist and work with them. I am an Interior Designer and architect by profession, so you can only imagine how organized and detail oriented I am. I came very prepared to our first initial appointment with McCann with a detailed floor plan, inspiration images (printed and digital) as well as the whole design plan for our wedding. We gave the florist everything they needed. I explained word for word the type of flowers we loved, the color scheme we loved. I even showed them a photo of exactly how we want our bouquet and center pieces to look like. Long story short, we did not get anything near what we asked for. For example, for my bouquet, I asked for it to be strictly white and green as I am the bride right? On the wedding day, the florist came to me with a bouquet that had both purple and pink flowers in it. Looked like a baby shower bouquet to me. The centerpieces weren't remotely what I had asked for. From what I remember, the boutonnière for my husband and his groomsmen were the only correct arrangements they nailed. Everything else was a big failure. For this reason, I am rating McCann Florists a 2-star. Hope this helps any future bride or anyone looking for a florist company. I have plenty of other recommendations that do a beautiful job at a similar price point if anyone needs any recs! read more

Where to start? Marcia, the owner, is extremely friendly and really listens to exactly what a bride's vision is. Not only did she listen to my vision but she also gave great advice about how the pictures will look with the contrast of colors. For example, she told me that if my bridesmaids are wearing pink than don't have just pink flowers for them because they won't stand out in the pictures so we added a little white along with a few variations of pink and she was absolutely correct. I spoke with about 5 different florists in the Woodland Hills/West Hills/Canoga Park area and Marcia was by far the most professional and personable. When I had a question or concern, I just emailed her and she emailed me back in a timely manner. I can honestly say the flowers she provided for my wedding were the BEST and the MOST beautiful I've ever seen at any wedding I've been to (and I went to about 11 last year alone). I couldn't be happier with every arrangement she made for me. My centerpieces were breathtaking (I had SO many guests tell me how gorgeous my centerpieces were). My bouquets just pop in every picture that was taken. I will definitely recommend Marcia to anyone who is looking for a great florist! read more
