We paid the invoice at this time in good faith. They never showed up in the afternoon. By 5pm the team had not shown up yet. Poor customer notification on any change of timing. The only explanation we got was when we told them via Thumbtack messenger that we were issuing a stop payment through our bank. The woman that said the team was sitting in traffic since 2pm and weren't going to call to give us updates while they were driving. She was apologetic but couldn't help us and then hung up on us! At 5:30 they still had not shown up so we left our house for other commitments since had been home waiting for them since 10am. At 6:09 they texted us a picture of the surveyor in front of our house blaming us for not being home and then left us a handwritten note in our mailbox saying that they would not issue a refund because we were not home! Very unprofessional company. Lesson learned. Never use them and don't pay before the service is completed!!

They were quick to respond and Mark was easy to work with. Setting up the appointment was quick and painless and Mark was good at explaining our options to us. I turns out that a lack of landmarks in our neighborhood made the job a little more difficult than anticipated, but Boundary Zone worked tirelessly to get the job done. Afterwards, their crew took the time to walk us through where the lines where, and it wasn't long after that we got our report. I don't normally write reviews, but Lincoln surveying deserves one! I have now known Mark Lincoln…read morefor 3 years and he is a honest and caring human being and an excellent surveyor. When we bought out property, it was in one piece. However, here in Dekalb County, the county doesn't operate in a logical and organized way so the next year the GIS department separated the parcel our house sits on into two with no input from us at all and out tax bill nearly doubled. You would think they could just correct their error, but no, not in Dekalb County.... It is quite an administrative nightmare to put it back together which required our title insurance to hire both a lawyer and a surveyor. Mark Lincoln is the surveyor hired by our title insurance. Despite this very unusual and frustrating situation, Mark has been punctual, polite, and knowledgable in helping us through the county bureaucracy. Many times along the way, it was the county that was more than unreasonable, but Mr. Lincoln continued to advocate for us and make changes to help get our parcel recombination to go through. I truly credit him with helping us get our property back in one piece and the cost savings that come along with this. I know he went well above and beyond what he was paid for and hung in there when any other surveyor would have thrown up their hands and run away rather than deal with the ridiculousness of Dekalb County. In conclusion, I would highly, highly recommend Mark Lincoln. I would not highly, highly recommend dealing with the Dekalb County Planning Department related to fixing errors in a timely manner (3 years) but if you do have to deal with a department like this, you want Mr. Lincoln to be your surveyor for sure.

Tried to charge double, and then did not properly do the job per code. Claimed he was right and good because he has lived in Decatur longer than we have (uh, dude, living in the rough Decatur of the 90s isn't exactly brag worthy... and the length of time you lived here does NOT give you the moral upper-hand... geez. Spoke with other more reputable surveyors who agreed with our title information and could not figure out what Jonny's issue was. We all figure he just wanted to drive up costs by fooling around rather than doing the job, unfortunately. Call the others in the area, avoid this place, even if it initially seems cheaper, you will have to hire someone else to get the job done again and get it done correctly per professional standards.
