On the day they did the work, the owner requested payment. He told me they would come back the next day to finish, but they never returned. The following week I called and sent photos - regarding the quickly emerging weeds. When I questioned the site preparation, I was told they scraped it clean. I expected at that time they would have said something about our contract and not told me they were going to take a look at it. Then never showed up to cut our lawn. The crew hits our yard like a military operation - every leaf and twig is cleaned up and taken away. Our lawn is beautiful thanks to the crew from Cook's. This year we decided to put in a patio and fire pit. Matt was here most nights well past dinner time and he arrived to work on many Saturdays in order to have things ready for our daughter to see when she visited from out of state. Our project was somewhat organic in that we made a few decisions as the job progressed. As we looked over the rough layout for the fire pit we changed our minds. We changed from a square fire pit to a round fire pit. Most of the materials were ordered and on site for a square fire pit. Matt took it in stride and made it round. The whole project is beautiful! Overall we are very pleased with their service. My biggest complaint is that it seems to be extremely difficult to contact them or get responses back. On numerous occasions I have left voice mail messages on the business line, rarely with any response, and I have never gotten a live person to answer on that number. I have tried calling the cell phone numbers listed, but again rarely get anyone to answer, and the voice mailboxes are full so I can't even leave a message. I have even included notes asking them to contact me with my bill payment, to no avail. It's very frustrating to deal with the lack of responsiveness. Based on the quality of the work alone, I would give them 4-5 stars, I rate them lower simply due to the poor customer service/lack of ability to actually communicate with them.
