Within a 15 minute phone consultation the following took place: 1. I was spoken to (and listened to) with respect and compassion. 2. I was given several potential options with how to go forward with my issue. 3. Many of the options presented were ways to move forward on my issue that did not involve filing in court. 4. I was educated about the nuances of language used by the court -- differences between custody and a parenting plan, for instance. 5. I was given advice about how to initially approach the issue with the other party in ways where I did not have to mention legal involvement. 6. I was given a snapshot of potential actions available to the opposing party if they went to court before me and ways which I could avoid or prepare for that contingency. 7. I was given information about how the firm could assist if I indeed need to file in court. 8. I was quoted a reasonable fee for an in-office consultation if I needed to take that step. No one wants to deal with the thought of losing time with their children in a divorce, but Christine fought for me and I would've never have been able to do this without her.
