I'm not sure if it's incompetence, laziness, or that he just doesn't care. It's probably a combination of all three. Sippell was supposedly representing me in court and only opened his mouth to say that he was present (presumably, to get paid). He was never heard from again until I asked him if he was supposed to be my attorney. That's when he managed to find his voice long enough to mumble some garbage to me before slithering away. After giving him the retainer fee he abruptly went on a 3 week vacation?! When he came back he informed us that he knew a friend of the other party. But assured us it wouldn't be a problem. He wrote a 1 1/2 page agreement & emailed it to the other party who refused to sign it. Then Mr sippell withdrew himself from the case. Saying that he was worried to go to litigation due to what his family and friends would think of him. We obviously asked for our money back, he refunded $140. He literally did nothing, would have been the same as throwing $1500 into the garbage! We later found out that if we don't file the papers with in 5 months my nephew can be legally adopted and we will lose all rights to him.
