I want to begin by acknowledging a positive aspect of this firm: the front office staff is…read moreconsistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. That level of courtesy does not go unnoticed. However, my experience as the executor of my mother's estate has been deeply frustrating and, at times, disheartening. Following my mother's passing, I never had the opportunity to meet with an attorney to review or discuss the estate. Instead, all of my communication was handled through a legal assistant. While she was kind and personable, I was repeatedly given information that was inaccurate regarding the legal requirements for closing the estate. On multiple occasions, I was told that certain documents were required to be prepared by an attorney in the state of Michigan. This was simply not true. The documents in question can, in fact, be completed by an individual and properly notarized without legal representation. The first document I requested was a Certificate of Trust. I was advised that this document must be completed by an attorney and that most title companies require it. Knowing this was incorrect, I still chose to proceed with the firm preparing the document for the sake of efficiency. While I do not regret that decision, I do find it troubling that such misrepresentations are made--especially to individuals who may be navigating grief and unfamiliar legal processes at a vulnerable time. A second document was also prepared under the same premise--that it required an attorney's involvement. Again, this was inaccurate. This document is publicly accessible and can be completed without legal assistance. When I was unable to locate it on my own, my bank was able to guide me through the process without difficulty. This further underscored the unnecessary nature of the service I was led to believe I needed. I find this pattern of misrepresentation not only unprofessional, but deeply disappointing given the circumstances under which many clients seek estate services. Families deserve transparency, honesty, and guidance they can trust. A fair resolution, in my view, would be a refund for the second document. Unfortunately, my attempts to address this directly have gone unanswered, as I have not received return calls from the legal assistant. In closing, I strongly encourage anyone serving as an executor to thoroughly research their responsibilities and options. It is important to understand that not all documents require legal preparation, and informed decisions can help avoid unnecessary expenses during an already difficult time. It is truly unfortunate to feel this level of doubt when seeking professional legal guidance.

Rachel was unbelievably helpful in planning and placement to a wonderful apartment facility. After the initial placement, Mannor law firm then helped us to navigate the many different branches of government so that my parents would receive the maximum help available to them. I am convinced that the average person could not effectively navigate these systems. Mannor Law then had Eric, another specialist who works with them, help us apply to the V.A. for retirement benefits for my father. Initially my father was turned down but Eric (like the rest of the members of Mannor Law) just doesn't give up and after a lot of his work, my father did receive the benefits. In short, we went to Mannor Law somewhat lost and not knowledgeable enough to effectively take care of our parents as we wanted to. Mannor Law accomplished so much more than we could have without them and better than that, what they accomplished paid for their services in less than one year! Using Mannor Law was by far one of the best decisions that I have ever made!

Attorney Darin has many, many positive reviews on his web page and so I chose to contact him. From the very beginning attorney Darrin proved to be knowledgeable, compassionate and very dedicated to my son's case. He took the time to explain the appeals process in detail and in plain language that was understandable to my son. The appeal case that attorney Darrin built was strong and fact based. He was an excellent advocate for my son's clear need for SSA disability benefits. Attorney Darrin's attention to detail and regular communication with me was superb and appreciated. Thanks to attorney Darrin's hard work, knowledge, expertise and wisdom, my son's appeal was successful! This has made a huge difference in my son's life and in helping me to plan for his future. I, without reservation, highly recommend Darrin Andrus for any person looking to secure legal assistance in the area Social Security Disability benefits applications/appeals.

He was understanding, , courteous and positive throughout the entire experience , and readily (promptly) available to consult with me regarding follow-up questions and concerns. I would recommend him without reservation.

Now this guy is a winner…read more Good attitude, stellar references, EXCELLENT communication (even at 9pm on a saturday night via EMAIL! wow what a concept!! yay!). He will call you back when he says he will, he will even respond to your emails within a couple hours, and he is in his office when he says he is. INTEGRITY. wow, that's hard to find these days. He is a little higher priced than other attorneys in the area for basic family law matters, but his benchside manner is worth it. 5 stars. ps: His office is masked in a little non-descript gray/brown office building with another non-related business at the corner of McCandlish and Saginaw, south of town (almost to Warwick Hills).

I have never been so glad to be done with a human being in my life. I could have done a much better job of representing myself. He's forgettful, rude, condescending, constantly is losing documents, and tells you one thing and another happens. Ladies beware of this schmuck!! In response to Mr. Riley's response, he promised a $2500 fee that would NOT exceed those costs. We are now at $4600 + and the results were horrifying... he said I would get spousal support for 5 years which I needed to pay down significant marital debt my husband ran up and that was cut after 5 months... my husband got half of my retirement and he makes twice as much as I do and Mr. Riley assured me I would get primary custody of my son and it is joint... I find out from my ex that he told his lawyer he would settle but Mr. Riley communicated the opposite to me.. we never had to go to trial.. he did not fight for me... in fact he asked me to remove this post.. I would too!!! He did bare bones and I am struggling to pay him back because he took almost twice what he promised I would have to pay...not to mention I had to remind him in front of the judge I wanted my maiden name restored because he forgot..

After giving him the retainer fee he abruptly went on a 3 week vacation?! When he came back he informed us that he knew a friend of the other party. But assured us it wouldn't be a problem. We later found out that if we don't file the papers with in 5 months my nephew can be legally adopted and we will lose all rights to him.
