The mistake was that she was supposed to choose the option for a new authorization instead of renewing an old authorization because it was being requested under a new status. As a lawyer, this is basic information that she should have known. I was easily able to find directions on the USCIS web site that clearly explains which option should be chosen. I reapplied for the authorization myself and received approval after only eleven days. I waited for her authorization to be approved for seven months before I applied on my own. I addressed this error with Nadeska and requested compensation for the financial loss I incurred due to being without a job for seven weeks, as of now, and paying twice for employment authorization. Also, the authorization she chose was more expensive than the option that was supposed to be chosen. She would not admit that she made a mistake, nor would she refund me any money.
