Our garbage disposal broke Friday afternoon (of course) and I contacted McConnell to get an estimate on replacing it with a new one that we purchased. I got an email from Nick on a Sunday to confirm that they could do it, what the cost would be, and to say that he could do it this week! I confirmed with him this morning that I was interested and he called me right away and set up an appointment for the same day. Nick and his helper arrived quickly and switched out my garbage disposal and less than a half hour. Now we can use the sink again! Wouldn't recommend. I had a plumbing leak outside of my house. The city said they couldn't fix it due to location of the broken water-pipe, but said it was an easy-fix and to call a plumber. Gave this company a call, and they said they could help. When they arrived, they didn't knock on my door or speak with me. They just started working on my house. Afterwards, I got a knock on my door that the leak was fixed without discussing costs or what's wrong and that I owe them $700. Not the best way to do business. Would have appreciated them communicating with me prior to working. read more

I wouldn't recommend this business. I got a confirmation that there were no service call fee. Yet, after arriving and spending no more than 15 minutes & barely doing anything other than checking the attic and crawl space for a tankless water heater, I was asked to pay $150 as trip fee!! We had 3 toilets that after you flushed the toilet , the water kept running for a long time before it stopped , or if the flapped didn't close correctly back on , water would keep running into the toilet bowel forever. Water bill was over $200.00 a month . I called McConnell Plumbing this morning, and described the problem , he gave the estimated price over the phone, very good price . 3 guys came out and everything was done in about 10 mins, service done on same day, very friendly, and nice people. My 20 year old water heater started leaking. I contacted them around 3:30 Monday afternoon, and they were able to get information needed for quote over the phone. They were here Tuesday morning at 9 am with a new water heater and replaced the unit with no damages. Very quick to respond and did a good job. I would work with them again. read more

Nick is the best!! Came out, in between jobs, 45 minutes after I called and a local plumber bailed. Helped my SO move the vanity and even gave us some nails to put the molding back. Can not recommend this gentleman more. Seriously, we are moving to Cornelius in two weeks and he saved us not coming in to a master bath without plumbing. Nick was awesome! We just bought an older house so there were quite a few plumbing issues and past 'handyman' fixes to be repaired. We had cast iron, copper, pex, pvc and he did it all! We removed a wall in our bathroom and he redirected our plumbing to go down a different wall and even crawled up in our tiny attic to secure the cast iron that was falling down. He also moved our water heater, plumbed in our vanities, set up our shower/handheld valves/diverters. Can't recommend him and his partner, Burke, enough! Super responsive, punctual, and clean up well after themselves. Plus they were very sweet to our dog who is very curious and all up in their business. We will definitely be using them when we get around to doing our other bathroom! read more
