After an initial meeting with Olga Sevidova that went well, I sent her all my documents and a request for an additional document to be filed that went unanswered. She requested a meeting, then failed to confirm the meeting date/time and sent a zoom invite 3 minutes prior to the meeting (which I of course missed) and said this was their office policy. When we finally met to review the tax return that she had prepared, there were glaring errors right away. Lev Agranovich (the owner) had to step in to make the corrections needed. Instead of taking accountability, Olga then proceeded to bill me for an additional 100$ for the extra form she claimed I had asked for last minute, when in our documentation I had requested it a month earlier with no transparency on extra cost. She became rude, defensive, and unprofessional in her emails and told me it was my fault because I had missed her virtual meeting (that she had failed to confirm). I finally agreed to make the extra payment to just be done with the process, yet she was unable to provide a final tax document with all the corrected edits, refused to answer my email follow ups and just kept asking for payment. Despite her incompetence, Lev (who was cc'ed on all the communications) did not step in to help mediate the interactions. I have never had a professional interaction with this degree of poor communication and poor product quality, and the inability to provide a final document for review prior to payment. She then proceeded to tell me I would be billed regardless and threatened a collection agency should I not pay for a tax return that I was unable to review, and that had prior mistakes made. I finally had to send AGS Tax group a certified letter documenting the inadequate work and refusal of payment before they finally provided a completed tax return for my review. This was a huge inconvenience and headache with many hours on my end wasted sending them all my documents and I will never be returning here. I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability. You should find another place to prepare your tax documents.

My husband found her online and told me she is good with very high rating on Yelp, now I know the high rating on Yelp is the paid marketing - some high reviews are fake customers. We asked her to file our 2017 taxes. It came out that we have to pay a large amount to IRS, but she did not think from the customer stand-point, she did not ask us questions like "Do you have any other deductibles that could potentially reduce your Fed tax?" She only told us how much we owe Fed and State, and then gave us an invoice and told us when to pay. So we went back to our original accountant for a second opinion, and that accountant asked us other deductibles that we forgot to report, she was able to work with us and list other deductibles we found. I appreciated the way she helped us, even it is a small amount. But I felt being supported and helped. We told Nicole politely that we will not file from her but we will pay her time. And she just gave us a ~$600 bill without giving us the breakdown of the cost. That is totally unreasonable. So I asked Nicole politely if she could explain the cost if we did not file from her, and Nicole came back with a very harsh email. That was the longest email she has ever written to us. She would be willing be spend more time writing a harsh email, rather than thinking on the client side about how to help them and provide a better service. We paid her ~$600 with very bad experience, harsh and threatening words (like "lie", "theft of services") and wrong judgment ("self-prepared taxes in 2016" - in fact, we filed our 2016 taxes from our old accountant). The only reason we originally wanted to hire Nicole was that we had bitcoin investment in 2017 and we need someone who can understand bitcoin. So we paid a premium for that. But it turned out a very bad experience. And we had to go back to our old accountant to handle the rest for us. Think twice before you hire her. You want an accountant who can help you, not an accountant only think about how to make money from you, and send you harsh and threatening emails if you have any concerns. This is the worst service that I've got in my life!!!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would…read more First of all, this address is wrong- they DO NOT have an office in Boston. Secondly, DO NOT TRUST THEM. I truly have no words for the service we got (but also I won't shut up about it bc if I can save someone else the hassle, I will). We hired a CPA this year bc of some issues with our state tax withholding due to moving across states. 1) From the get go, I felt funny about them because I knew there were certain info that would be needed (but they didn't take it even when I offered). Due to a HR mishap with my job, my state taxes were taken from NY (and not from MA). They never asked for more specific info (pay stubs for example) to rectify the taxes. I repeatedly asked the person assigned to us to reiterate the issue to us so that we knew she understood what needed to be fixed, and she couldn't. But they have such good reviews, so I should trust the right?! 2) Due to the move, my husband had two W-2's- one from NY and one from MA. We accidentally forgot to upload the NY W-2 (that's on us). BUT instead of asking for it, they counted the MA W-2 for NY as well. The outcome was that we now owe thousands in taxes due to the income being counted twice! 3) AND FOR THE CHERRY ON TOP- THEY FILED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. The wrong version, where we owe thousands. And then didn't tell us. We only found out bc we got a letter from the IRS. And then they took their sweet time responding to us about amending, not that we trust them to even do the amendment correctly. And when we requested a refund, they refused and instead offered money off our next service- AS IF. We had to file fraud via our credit card and point out that what they did was ILLEGAL to get our money back.
