I explained that I had 2 uncles die of covid and we were struggling to raise money for our family. I was later informed by a secretary that I owed a large sum and it was only going to cover one year (for which there was going to be no return because it was so late.. ) It was very upsetting and I told her to tear it up and that I would have to bring my business elsewhere I would have never agreed to $2000 dollars for what would have amounted to a half hour of paper work She called me unethical and said they would do the one year for free (in a very condescending tone). She said and I quote, "we will tear up your check and to consider this one year of a return a gift from us" The disagreement was upsetting but I was relieved and grateful at the same time. I later got a bill in the mail My friend later told me that after giving these folks blood sweat and tears they pulled a similar stunt on her. I guess this is how the rich stay rich. The guy has a shiny 120 thousand dollar car out front in a very working class neighborhood where many of us are struggling to get through these hard times. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just sent me somewhere else. They offer to do the one year free, then send me a bill after all .

This time I didn't bring everthing to my original appointment in Cohasset, so I followed him to this office in the little strip mall (Fox Plaza) in Weymouth on Rt.53/Washington Street. I just can't give him enough stars for his thorough tax prep, providing explanations along the way so that I could understand what was happening and what to expect. Like last year, I have next year already scheduled, in Weymouth. It's not that I think he does magic, but since Tom started doing my taxes, I am getting a refund. so . . . draw your own conclusions! I then kindly requested we have Karie Keane again (on 3/21) and was told she would be reaching out. 2 weeks went by and I was never contacted. I messaged again on 4/1 and on 4/2 and Ahmed responded then saying " hi see below plz. I already asked my manager to transfer your file to her". I am honestly concerned that maybe I should not be using H&R Block.
