When I had an appointment I paid cash and it's $175 for about ten minutes. He won't talk to you or take your calls unless you pay that $175. When you call for refills it takes days for him to send it In. Even when it's for anxiety. And I have bad anxiety and depression. All he has to do is call it in. I've waited days. I've racked up so many ER visits because of anxiety and also withdrawal symptoms. A couple of the er doctors had to actually call him and ask why I haven't got my meds. His poor staff has to hear and calm down patients. Because he will not makes calls. I even showed up at his office, he just looked at me. No hello. No how have you been. He took Kim into an office and told her to tell me to schedule an appointment. Washinski doesn't give a shit about his patients, he's just about the money. I mean $175 for less than ten minutes. I would think very seriously if you want to be treated like crap and ignored and spend more money on ER visits. If that's what you like then washinski is great. One more thing. I lost my son in 12/11/23 and you would think that would have some impact on the care. Hell no. I went to the ER more after I lost my son because he ignored all communication. You want good mental health then stay far away from this hack.

They are through with diagnosis and treatment. Whatever's required from insurance they are fast and knowledgeable and take care of everything. Appointments are scheduled in a timely manner. (I don't wait months) I have had a total hip replacement (September 2021) and injections for an arthritic knee (currently). After my surgery I was sent home with a complete packet of instructions and prescriptions. The hospital staff is amazing too. I work with my doctor and my doctor works with me.

I wrote a letter to Dr Buck 2 weeks ago. SW Oncology would not give me Dr Buck's email.. so I was…read moretold by their office manager Jennifer Townsend that she would personally forward it. I have asked multiple times for her to confirm she passed it to Dr Buck. She will not respond and has escalated my feelings of incompetence towards this office. If no one can confirm they read my concerns via email, then maybe they will reply via this post. Attn: Dr Buck, I am writing you this email because I have some unsettled feelings and questions about the way my mother's treatment plan was handled and the amount of effort you put towards her recovery. I was not present during the initial diagnosis and discovered how serious her disease was when I was on her results call with you in March. The x-rays showed that the chemo CARBOplatin was not working, and the tumors had grown. As a response you said, "sometimes it gets worse before better", which after talking to other oncologists, I came to learn this is not true. Anyway, you said her cancer was very serious and she had to be on an aggressive regimen. I cannot recall what the alternative chemo was that you recommended, but when you said it could be hard on lungs we stuck with the current chemo. Our decision was a result of Dr Black and his incompetence to implant a chest port, in which the routine surgery resulted in a punctured lung (during COVID19). This pushed us to stick with the same CARBOplatin/OXALIplatin regimen to protect her lung from any future damage. Another thing you said on the call was that you had never seen this type of cancer, so we arranged to speak with a specialist at CU, Dr Leong. The specialist had worked with this type of cancer, and we hired him to consult with you on a new treatment plan in hopes of decreasing her tumors and giving her some comfort. Dr Leong recommended Immunotherapy along with several other chemos.. none of which you prescribed to her. Instead you wanted to keep her on the same regimen and add Immunotherapy. Since the CARBOplatin/OXALIplatin was not working, the insurance denied the whole treatment plan along with the Immunotherapy. When these chemos were denied I asked why she could not be placed on Immunotherapy as Dr Leong had advised and you responded that it HAD to be combined with another Chemo to be aggressive enough to kill off some tumors. Again, even though the CARBOplatin/OXALIplatin had already proven to not be working you wanted to keep with it and add Immunotherapy. During these conversations, I brought up that my friend had applied for and received Immunotherapy directly through the drug company, but you said the Immunotherapy had to be combined with other chemos to fight off the tumors effectively... and that immunotherapy could NOT be taken on its own. When I asked if this was what Dr Leong had recommended, you confirmed it was what was discussed so I left it at that. Unfortunately when the Immunotherapy/CARBOplatin/OXALIplatin was denied by the insurance, you chose FOLFOX as a next measure. This chemo was an aggressive 48hr treatment, and NOT one of the chemos that Dr Leong had recommended. Because she was already at a weakened state the FOLFOX pushed her fragile state over the edge and she ended up in the hospital for over 10 days to try and recover from the new Chemo. While she was in the hospital, I was able to contact Dr Leong about other chemo options and he said that he HAD recommended Immunotherapy AND that it could be taken on its own. He messaged your office and since you were out on vacation, Julie said they would try to apply through the drug company to receive the Immunotherapy treatment. At this point I was happy that your office was FINALLY going to try this route, but I was extremely infuriated that I had requested this earlier and you said it was NOT an option. Sadly, by the time your office had finally gone through with Dr Leong's recommendation, it was too late. My mom's state was too fragile to continue with any treatment and she passed 5 weeks later. So here are my questions: - Why did you not go by Dr Leong recommendation when you found out the current regimen was not working? - Dr Leong recommended several other chemos and FOLFOX was not one of them.. why was this one selected and not the others he called out? - Why did you not try to apply through the Immunotherapy company directly as I mentioned earlier? If insurance denies chemo, it is standard procedure at Anshutz to apply directly to the drug company. This seems like it should be standard at your office, but you failed to take this feedback into account and told me it was not an option. Why did you choose to wait until it was too late?

Arriving at 11:00 knowing the office would not be out for lunch. She said that she does not take walk in. She could see me in a week, which did not make any since because there was no one but her and her receptionist in the office. She argued and said it was a state law that she could not see walk ins. Not sure how true that is since I have done this many times before at other offices and I had seen her 2 years prior. Did not find her very nice in fact, condescending and rude. Needless to say I told her to take me off her email address list and not to market to me or my family in the future. If your looking for someone to see you in a moment notice this is not the chiropractor to see. My biggest question is why is the facility name Cafe of life.......are we eating there too. G

As someone living several states away from my aging father and stepmother,…read more knowing that my parents have a compassionate and competent caregiver gives me tremendous reassurance. My parents found Kara a few years ago, and working with her has been a gift for our family. She is reliable, methodical, and excellent in her ability to care for people; she is also kind and empathetic, and a daily light in my parent's lives. Kara is truly on a journey with them, through good times (birthdays! anniversaries! physical accomplishments!) and more challenging ones (injuries, surgeries, illness). She not only cares for my dad but helps with yard care and home projects requiring strength and/or height, walks and plays with their dog, runs errands as needed, and gives my stepmother a break and/or chance to catch up with friends. Some additional context: my dad was extremely active through his life up until his early 80's -- traveling the world, hiking/biking/skiing in the Rocky Mountains, and leading rafting trips on the Rio Grande and Animas. Kara is a former college athlete and now adult athlete, so I feel that she has extra understanding of the challenge for formerly active people whose capabilities are now more limited. Because she is so strong and physically active, my dad feels safe going for walks and doing his exercises with her -- he is more confident with her by his side than any of the rest of us. Little things like making him a nutritious and delicious sandwich each day (tailored to his dietary needs) help him stay as healthy as possible. Kara also spent/spends considerable time understanding who my parents were in their younger years, through both conversation and looking through photo albums and travel videos (even if she's seen them before). On the flip side, Kara shares what's going on her life, which has given my dad an additional "loved one" in his daily routine. We are thrilled to see her launching Nuturing Hearts and expanding her philosophy and practice to more people in the community. I am happy to provide additional details to anyone considering her services. With several of us providing what help we could there was not one person coordinating her medical treatment which resulted in missed appointments, inaccurate medication dispensing and poor communication concerning medical follow up. Reluctantly and with trust issues, my friend agreed to hire Kara. Her biggest fear was loss of control and realizing she could not keep her thoughts in order. Kara's first approach was to really get to know our friend and to listen to what she wanted and needed. With unending patience, Kara kept our friend in control; she encouraged our friend that she would get better and eventually be able to provide a lot of her self-care. Kara became the person she both enjoyed and trusted most; they had fun together and our friend felt very understood and accepted. Kara is very compassionate, encouraging and safety conscious. She did move in to coordinate doctor's recommendations and prescriptions dosing which made a huge difference.
