I got there, and they were doing well until I made up my mind which one I wanted and asked to take a test drive. They began the drama. First, they don't allow test drives on Corvettes, so I told them I wasn't paying much for a car I couldn't fully drive, even with full insurance. They went to talk to "Steve" (the used-car manager), and I was leaving as I came out of the bathroom, headed for the exit. The salesman (who had done a great job in this situation as he could) came to me and said Steve said I could drive it, but first I had to be approved for the loan. I told him I was buying the car outright and didn't need the loan; I had cash but wasn't interested. As I was getting in my truck, Jeff (sales manager) came to the parking lot and said we could drive the car. Roller coaster of rules. Funny how the whole thing changed when I no longer needed their loan. By then, I was over it, and my wife said she had never felt so disrespected in her life. I called a friend of mine, and he said they had done the same thing to his buddy. His buddy fell for it, and the car immediately clunked. Three days later, the torque tube had to be replaced. The car I picked out I wanted badly and was going to buy it, but I am pleased I walked away. I had driven 4 others the same day, with not a second's hesitation from the dealership. We had to take in our Chevy Bolt EUV, and upon arrival it's as if Shawn (service) wouldn't even speak to me without talking to my husband, too. Continued to call me "little lady" etc etc- demeaning and very condescending. After dropping the car, we were not contacted at all re: any of the progress, estimated date of completion, what was actually wrong etc. I finally called to check and they still didn't tell me what they were doing to it, just that it'd be ready "Friday". We picked it up and I had to ask what they did- got a curt "well, looks like a replaced battery" and we were on our way. Fast forward to this week and I was asked by the tax auditor to reach out to Chevy directly for an appraisal-- I left a message w/ customer service and never heard back causing us to miss the depreciation deadline. I haven't been to a dealership in so many years I can't remember the last time but today I know…read morewhy! Took our Honda CR-V in for a recall on the passenger side air bag inflator. While they had it they did a multipoint inspection on it and Surprise, Surprise, Surprise as Gomer Pyle would say, found multiple things "wrong" with it to the tune of $922 in parts and labor including telling us the transmission fluid was brown and needed servicing. My wife said "Really? My husband just serviced the transmission less than a month ago" and at that point the service advisor started back peddling saying maybe it just looked that way because of the lighting! LMFAO!! I knew it was coming, as soon as we turned them down for the repairs, the high-pressure sales pitch started. Nothing will turn me off faster or lose my business quicker than someone pressuring me to buy something once I have already told them NO! Besides everything on the list IF it needed to be done I or my mechanic could have done it for a fraction of the price that Hendrick Honda wanted to charge to do it. Plus now we are getting letters in the mail at least once a week reminding us that "we need to schedule an appointment for our urgently needed repairs" I wonder how long we are going to continue to get these letters before they finally realize that we are not bringing the car back there ever again for any reason! I pulled the transmission dipstick after we got home and that was the reddest "brown" transmission fluid I have ever seen!! These dealerships will flat out lie to your face to try and make a buck. I may have been born at night, but not last night! Two stars only because the service advisor did reset our radio theft security code and set the time without charging us which shocked the hell out of me!
