When I asked him why he did that, he said, "Because he didn't know what it was." I don't even know what the heck that means? I asked for a new coffee. I watched him add cream. I wanted to taste it before I drove away in case he was petty enough not to add sugar, but it was too hot. After my coffee cooled enough to taste, of course he did not add sugar. If I could've given this zero stars, I would have, this is quite possibly the worst experience at a McDonald's in years, maybe decades... My mobile order: a hot chocolate, an unsweet iced tea, and a fudge sundae. I arrive, drive thru backed up, so I walk in trying to get my phone to recognize that I'm in the store and can actually place the order. The staffer there asks me if I'm taking photos of them, but I'm trying to get my phone to place the order. It finally does after a few more shakes. Then... a wait. 5-6 min stretches longer... and then the cashier comes over to me with the manager. They say, my hot chocolate - no go. Machine is out for 20min for a cleaning cycle, do I want to wait? Uh - no. Can you refund that or cancel the order? Not able to do that with a mobile order... so... what's my choice? Get a shake, slushie or soda. Not exactly what I was looking for - needed a hot drink for my kid, and none of those were a great choice. Given no refund, though, opted for the cherry slushie, which they gave me... and... nothing else. I waited another 10min and the cashier noticed I was still standing there and asked me... what else? I told him I had an iced tea and sundae. I see the manager helping out and working orders ... my order has been up there a while, and orders of others that came in were already filled ahead of it. Perhaps forgotten? The line of people waiting inside for orders has grown longer, too. The staffer gets the slip from the manager and gives me my fudge sundae and an iced tea that's apparently been waiting by the drive-thru for a while. Then three cups on the counter for my order finally...and no cup holder to carry them out in? I have to ask for one, they don't have any upfront, so another minute or two as they run back to the storage space to get one for me. To add insult to injury - when I get back to the car, the lid on the sundae is leaking all over, so have to clean that up, and the iced tea tastes like coffee. Which is not what I like at all - I've had a lot of unsweet tea at McD's, it's not the best unsweet tea, but it's usually tea. I don't know why there was coffee flavor here, mixed water or something, but... I'm thoroughly disappointed. Zero stars. I waited on line for 10-15 minutes with NOBODY even making an appearance at the ordering cashier counter. Not exactly sure what was happening. Finally, a gentleman peeks out from the back and says "Are you waiting to order" I said "Yes". He then said "You need to use the Kiosk". I said "Why did you not tell me that 15 minutes ago?" Instead of apologizing he replied "It is just common sense". In my opinion, this was both inappropriate and rude. Not exactly classy customer service! This review combines my recent visits to this particular location. Service: In short: Rude and extremely resentful towards customers. The premises are unclean and do not appear regularly cleaned. Also, The order kiosks cannot print receipts, and have been unable for at least 6 months. The staff members seem to enjoy each other's company but clearly have issues when dealing or with customers. Their dismissive tone, and sometimes outright annoyance or confrontation, make it clear that customers are NOT welcome. I understand that some customers can be annoying, but taking it out on others is unacceptable. The kiosk machine hasn't printed a receipt in at least six months. So, when I place walk-in orders, I prefer using a cashier because I know I will need my receipt as proof for ordered and paid items, as there is a tendency for my orders to be wrong or missing items. It's unfortunate, but it has become necessary. Please, get your receipts in order!!!!! However, staff gets frustrated, angry, or even dismissive. I've had employees tell me that I must use the kiosk, refusing to take orders at the register (as if it's mandatory). Also, I've experienced staffers calling out orders like "large coke and nuggets," but they only give me a bag with nuggets, without the large drink. How do you forget the drink when you call it out multiple times?? On another occasion, I ordered a number one and received five BBQ packets meant for nuggets instead of ketchup. At this point, it seems like they are purposely messing with customers and orders. If you plan to use the drive-thru at night on weekends, be aware that the staff members sometimes turn off the drive-thru and front lights to give the impression that they are closed and avoid taking orders. I have personally witnessed this on multiple occasions on Fridays and Saturdays around 8:45 - 9:30 PM. Although the location is open, the outside drive-thru and McDonald's street lights are turned off. During my last visit, I encountered an extremely slippery floor. Even though they had placed a caution sign, one young employee slipped upon entering, yet no attempts were made by the staff to address the issue and make it safer. Furthermore, on my most recent visit, while waiting for my order, I noticed the bugs in the bucket next to the kiosks. Please see the attached photos. Food: It's McDonald's, and the food is essentially the same regardless of the location, but after encountering water bugs or critters... I'm done. (Please see the attached photos.) Let me start this off my saying that if I could give this a zero, I absolutely would. I have been to this McDonald's several times and it never fails to make my day worse. I've been yelled at, cursed at, and worse of all, they keep getting my order wrong. This time I was aggressively spoken to, and while waiting to pay at the window that clearly says "pay here" the worker felt the need to stick her body out the window and yell at me. I was heading off to a break-fast after Yom Kippur services, but after fasting all day, I was starving. Even though I hadn't been to McDonalds in YEARS, I thought that McDonalds would be a fast place to pick up some food, so I decided to stop off. I got in line and waited around 5 minutes before getting up to the ordering area. A couple of other people in my party got some food, but one person, named Victor, could not get a milkshake, as their machine was broken. I've heard from some others that this McDonald's has never fixed their ice cream machine. Even worse, in the midst of placing our order, the order taker disappeared for a couple minutes, which seemed odd. Anyway, when she came back, I got their four piece buttermilk chicken. However, upon asking what is in their new signature sauce, I was just told, "I don't know." Later, when picking up my food, she told me that the signature sauce had a bit of a spicy complexion, but I feel like she should know what is in the sauce. Eventually, when we pulled up to the window, we were given a Happy Meal and two orders of fries. We ordered neither of those. To add insult to injury, we were just told to pull up to the front of the store to get my buttermilk chicken. The buttermilk chicken I had was fine and was solid for McDonalds, but was nothing special. Yesterday my mother and I attempted to purchase lunch for the family via the mobile app. I have done this successfully several times at other locations, and in the various different ways (drive through, curbside, walk-in) but this location has hands down the worst setup and service I have ever experienced with this process. We placed our order and drove to the restaurant. Upon arrival we saw a sign indicating curb spots to the left of the building. Driving around several times we weren't able to find any marked spots so we decided to go through the drive through. When we finally got to the speaker (we were trying to park originally because the drive through was moderately busy) The agent on the speaker said, quite impolitely, that we had to come in or it "wont come up in our (McDonalds) system til we (the customers) pay". No apologies, or other statement made. When we asked for clarification, this statement was repeated, perhaps even more petulantly than before. As I mentioned, I have done this process several times, and usually, as I'm sure you know, we would simply provide a code to the agent on the speaker, and they would pull the order up there, allowing us to then pay and receive our order as if we had just given them it verbally. Why is this single store unable, or unwilling, to do this? This now started to upset me, so I punched the curbside arrival, paid, and then parked quite literally 10 feet in front of the sign with the giant arrow saying "Curbside Pickup". I was hoping that this would allow this process to still move smoothly because we had a mobile-only deal on the order, and I was upset enough that I was unwilling to repeat the order through the drive through to coddle this restaurants unwillingness to cooperate with the program. Going inside is inconvenient for both my mother and I due to mobility challenges. The app asks for 5 minutes for our food to be delivered. I am sure, once you pull up whatever tracking system you have that it will either have been falsified, or it will show that 12 minutes after no sign of our food, I had to set up and get myself out of the car to go inside to the counter. I waited in line behind three other customers as they ordered and told the cashier that I was picking up a mobile order. Another person behind the counter responded that they had it here, and set it on the counter, packaged up, well and good. But then said, "let me get your drinks". Another fair amount of time, during which another 4-5 people ordered from the cashier I was near, went by, and finally my drinks were brought and a carrier for them produced. I was able to get the order out to the car in one trip. I estimate 3 minutes looking for a spot, giving up, then 5 minutes waiting in the drive through line, 12 minutes waiting in the parking area for the food, giving up, then 2-3 minutes to get inside, 3 minutes waiting in line, and another 5 waiting for my drinks, plus time to get back out to the car and settled. A minimum of 30 minutes from arrival on the property to leaving with our order. If this is acceptable for your company/franchisee, etc I can't imagine how you stay in business. Unreal. read more

When I got to the handoff I was given my drink w no straw. Then the rest of my order a few minutes later. Good thing I checked the bag bc no straw in there either. Fries were good. I hate to say this but when I walked in today I was not greeted when I walked in. Ordered a #9 w a milkshake to drink & a bag of chocolate chip cookies. I am then informed that there is no ice cream after placing my order. I got a refund of the cost of the milkshake. My food became ready it seemed to quick to good to be true. This place is an embarrassment to the McDonald's Corporation. If this location is a franchise McDonald's should take it back. Food on the chairs, look at the trash on the floor (right at the front counter) and no ice one of the machines. I am surprised that the Lower Merion health inspector hasn't shut this down. The workers are doing the best that they can with their limited education, but come on turn down the hip-hop music down to an acceptable level. Ordering process and cashier experience was good. As far as the server, his hands looked like he was working a car before handing me my food. I've seen actual mechanics with cleaner hands.
