After a long day out with my grandkids, we decided to stop here for some food. We don't go to McDonald's often because I like to give them more healthy choices. To our surprise, they had healthy options, which were great. My grandson, Lou, who is hard to please, had buttermilk crispy chicken tenders and apple juice. He loved them. Two of the kids had southwest grilled chicken salad and low-fat milk. They said they were awesome. One of the kids got the garlic mayo grilled chicken wrap and some apple slices. He also had bottled spring water. Boy, did he love them. Lauren and Kenny both had apple slices and fruit n' yogurt parfaits, along with chicken wraps. Lou also got the Yoplait Gogurt, which he loved. I got the Artisan chicken sandwich and vanilla ice coffee, which were really delicious! Each of the kids got a smoothie for dessert, but little Jennifer got the chocolate chip cookies. Kenny got a hot fudge sundae for dessert too - he is a big eater, so the smoothie and sundae weren't too much for him. He left very happy. My wife got a kiddie cone, which she loved! She had some fries too! All in all, it was really good. The staff was great and the place was spic and span clean. They got our order 100% correct and did so quickly with a smile on their faces. Place was really clean. Bathrooms were very clean too, like they had just been washed and scrubbed. My grandson, Kenny, who is very particular with restrooms, was quite pleased. He enjoyed his bathroom break immensely. Definitely would come back! And, of course, with McDonalds, the prices are always reasonable. Lauren is actually a part-time worker at a McDonalds at a different location. She loves working there! She is a business major at a local college and wants to be an executive at McDonalds in Oak Brook, IL. Her aunt is a corporate executive and is so proud that her niece works at McDonalds and has aspirations of working at their corporate headquarters! Her aunt is very proud of all employees of McDonalds, which she calls a great American institution! Awesome stuff! Seven minutes in line before anyone at the fire drill occurring behind the counter actually thought to see if there was anyone at their counter. I was fourth in line. Last night, I wanted to go out to McDonald's with a few of my friends. We went there at 8p.m. and when we tried to open the doors to the fast-food place; the doors were locked. There were already a few people waiting outside, we ALL knocked on the door, but NO employees EVEN ac​knowl​edge that we were outside. There were people already inside eating and when one of them tried to open up to let us in, the door was locked as well. When an employee FINALLY opened the door, she said that they were "cleaning". I checked in advance on a Sunday night at 9:15pm to make sure they were open, got in my car and drove over there, and when I got there their staff said they were closed "because of COVID" and then pretended they couldn't hear me through their drive through window. I would like to preface this by saying I have never had an issue during the day. The staff seems upbeat and personable, traditional McDonald's staff. Also, I am pregnant and want nothing more than McChicken's half the time. I know I know, it isn't great, but it's that or no food at all, so here I am housing these terrible sandwiches. So far this week here is what has happened at this McDonald's. Saturday Night: husband and I stop here after a wedding we were attending, around 11:35pm. When we get to the telecom box her greeting is "Sorry I'm not taking orders right now." Ummm, okay. You just don't want to make the McChickens you know my husband is going to inevitably want. (The week before, upon handing him the McChicken's she scathingly remarked "Sorry it took so long, I had to make them fresh." GEE THANKS FOR MY HOT SANDWICH THAT IT IS YOUR JOB TO MAKE!) Same Night: my best friend and her boyfriend go and order whatever they wanted, another scathing and rude interaction due to the fact she had to make something fresh and to order. Last Night: This is slightly less offensive to me, mistakes happen, but I'm distraught because, like I said, I am pregnant and also super emotional... Husband orders three McChickens, two plain, one normal, of course he gets back and all three are plain. I have had other instances here involving the same issues (all being plain or none being plain, general rudeness) but felt the need after the horrid past two weeks worth of experiences here to actually let the people know! I plan on contacting corporate at this point, as well. This review would be one star if not for the pleasant daytime staff. I couldn't avoid the big golden arches I saw while waiting across the street at the Acura dealership. On top of that, it was Monopoly season. So naturally, I HAD to go. I wanted to like this place when I walked in. It was fairly empty (it was about 10:15AM), clean, it looked festive with decorations on each table, and there was a promise of free WiFi. And then I got to the counter and my dreams were shattered. The cashier was very brusque and rude. I politely inquired as to which breakfast items would yield Monopoly stickers and the conversation went like this: Cashier: "Just the medium coffee cup." Me: "And the hash browns, right?" Also, they stared my friend down when she went up to refill her water cup like she was going to steal soda or something. They basically stared at us the whole time. I NEVER go to this one because the staff is terrible and super rude but today I was in the area and had my kids and their friends with me so against my better judgement I decided to take them to the Ardmore McDonalds to sit inside and eat. I ordered my food on the app and we sat there for about 20 mins (restaurant was fully staffed, lots of people in the back) before I went to the counter where I was completely ignored for 5 mins until I literally had to say "Excuse me" to an employee walking past me (trying to ignore me) to make sure they got the order. The employee was super rude and it looked like the entire staff was incredibly miserable and working in slow motion. I am not sure who owns or manages this McDonalds but they should be super embarrassed that that the moral is so low and their staff is a disaster. Probably the slowest Mcdonald's in the world. I have literally sat in the drive-through for 10 minutes before anyone has spoken to me. Only McDonalds I ever had to say hello multiple times to the speaker before someone has bothered to even recognize I was there. It's weird. I've seen people leave the drive-through line multiple times after ordering their food (since this place is so slow) and this is something I have never witnessed before in my life and I have seen it occur more than once at the Ardmore location. It's almost comical how slow this place is. Unless you like waiting for 20 minutes don't use the drive-through. ..Drive through is off-limits. That's a fool's errand. I live local and decided to go in yesterday for the first time in well over a year BIG mistake. .. So I am waiting for my food and I ask if they are open 24 hours since it says that on the posted hours on the door ( they close at 10 FYI). They tell me no and have not been open for 24 hours for a while, and so as a courtesy I tell them the hours posted on the door say they are, but they tell me they can't change them. Already knowing how slow and rude this place has been in the past, I ask if they are intentionally keeping the wrong hours up? Then the manager gets VERY rude and angry at this question and says it's impossible to change them and I need to leave or she is calling the police for trespassing. So as I am walking out, I look at the hours and it's a removable sticker pasted to the door. I touch the sticker to confirm and I was actually going to go in and let them know hey it's just a sticker and you can remove it and order another one" ......at that moment the manager comes running outside, is taking my picture, and says she is going to have me arrested for "defacing public property" and is calling the police. Literally nuts. I obviously quickly leave. I didn't deface any public property. The sticker posted on the door with the wrong hours is still there, as I imagine it will be for all of eternity since they clearly don't care. I understand that we are in a pandemic but for those of us fortunate enough to have jobs like myself we should be working as hard if not harder than we did before in appreciation of being employed. My intention was to go to Chipotle for dinner and there was no parking in that lot. So I drove around to an area that appeared to be unmarked in McDonalds empty parking lot with my two young children. We were in chipotle for 15 minutes. In that time, my car was towed. Unbelievable. The young girl who took my order was ignorant and kept sucking her teeth( yeah one of those) I ordered 2 parfaits( didn't have them) ordered 3 sundaes, 4 cheeseburgers n a small fountain soda. (Not all for me, there was 3 of us....hahaha) The CHEESEBURGERS had no Cheese.....the sundaes were only half filled n we never recieved a cup for our drink. We had to ask not 1 but 2 people for it. Let's just say I am a frequent customer of several locations and Ardmore is the worst. I have not complained in writing till today. I went through the drive thru and received a 3/4 full coke. I asked the young man to fill it and he said, "we are out of ice". I repeated that I wanted a full cup of coke and he took another cup of coke from his counter and opened the lid and poured some more in my cup. I could not tell if this was his personal cup of coke or if he was too lazy to get more from the dispenser, but this was totally grossing me out. The manager actually ended up delivering my food and I asked her about the coke incident and she said that it was okay that he did that. When I opened my big mac it was "built" incorrectly with pickles on the bottom and the two burger patties together instead of separated on each bun. It is not my first bad experience there but certainly going to be my last. I will drive a little further and get good service like in Conshohocken.
