Now--beyond the baked goods (which would be worth a stop on their own)--SuperFresh is something else entirely. It's a bakery, yeah, but it's also a locally sourced grocery store and a legit garden center. The kind of place you stop at for one thing and end up leaving with dinner ingredients, a hanging basket, a donut or three, and a weird sense that you've stumbled into something special. It's not just "support local" performative--these folks have been doing it since the 1940s. They compost all their food waste with local farmers. They banned single-use plastic bags over a decade ago. Their rain gardens capture five thousand gallons of water per storm to protect local rivers. I mean... they're doing more good in one thunderstorm than some businesses do in a fiscal year. If you're from around here, you probably already know about SuperFresh. If you're not, you should make a point to fix that. This place is the real deal--fresh food, good people, and a long-standing commitment to doing things the right way.
