Sent an order through the app. App processed it just fine. Manager lady claimed their system was down and refused to make the order even though we could show her our order. Had no way of refunding us and seemed to have a callus tone on the intercom. Luckily Venmo erased the transaction but they could have at least offered us something for the inconvenience. The date we visited through the drive through we ordered burgers but received just "buns". Where's the meat? I called to talk to the manager, a female, who stated there was a new person working the line. Where is the quality control by management? Also, I've read some reviews regarding the same issue wherein there was no burger between the bun which indicates this is an ongoing issue and not a new employee. Regardless, how does any employee forget the "staple" of a burger, the "meat"? Pathetic excuse for management. Again, quality control, and management is not doing it's job to better the customer experience. Don't bother with this Big Lake, MN, McDonald's as the female manager takes no responsibility. Decent people but the outside is trash. That gum has been there for 3 months. I told a manager 4 times and they do nothing.

This is the worst McDonald's I have ever been too. We have now lived in the area for almost a year and out of the handful of times I have ordered from here almost every time there is an issue. The last two issues have been dealing with the shift manager named Amber. We ordered 40 nuggets and they forgot 20 of them, when my husband went in to let them know and get the missing 20. Amber was rude and never offered an apology. Now on to the second issue, I went tonight and got $34 in food. One of the things I ordered was a Big Mac meal. I asked for it to be with light lettuce and extra sauce. With one of the other meals I ordered a Dr.Pepper as the drink. The screen at the drive-thru doesn't work so you can't see your order. I get up to the first window to pay and the lady there tells me the Dr.Pepper isnt good right now, so we switch that up no big deal. I get my receipt and drive to the second window, I see they have my Big Mac as light lettuce and NO sauce. I tell the guy at the window that they have that wrong. He lets them know what I wanted on my burger. Cool should be good to go. However after the issues we have had here I parked and checked my burger. It looked like some one dropped it! Inside the box was nasty, lettuce all over and the top half of the burger had barely any sauce. While the bottom half had a lot of sauce most off to the side and the burger was tore. Under the burger in the box was lettuce, onions and sauce. I got my family out of the car and went inside with the thought of getting a new one. I waited in line and when I got to the cashier I put my burger down and started telling him what was wrong and he said let me get someone. Out comes someone and ask whats wrong, I tell her and show her and she said in a rude tone "What happened to it?"... Like what?! are you kidding me?! What kind of question is that? I told her I got my food at the window, checked it and then came inside. Why would I do something to my food? Why would I bring my 3 kids inside and letting the other food get cold? What would the point of all that be? I told her I would just like a refund on my Big Mac meal and asked her name and if there is a manager around (or something along these lines) she tells me her name is Amber and she is the only manager on. I then asked for the store manager's number (figuring I would get a store number or corporate's number along with the store managers name) and she says in a rude tone again "I can't give you their number" again really? You think I want their cell phone number or something ?! At this point I just asked her for the store number and she puts it on the back of my refund slip. I ask her to also put her name so I wouldn't forget. I will not be going back here after tonight. I think Amber is rude and needs to work on her customer service if she is going to continue working in the field specially as a manager. TL;DR They can't get a order right and Amber is the rudest manager. read more

I honestly feel so attacked! That McDonalds was the worst experience I ever had at any fast food restaurant. They were so disrespectful because they wanted close an hour early and were just being plan out rude to me and my friends. They turned the bathroom lights off while I was peeing!! I've lived in Big Lake since 1992. I watched this McD's be built and rebuilt after the fire. It WAS an awesome choice, good customer service, hot food, fast and correct. Everyone used to smile. Now it is nothing more than a filthy hole with rude employees and horrible mgmt that can't get an order correct or fresh for the life of them. The review about abusive mgmt from Jonathan is dead on. It is not how she used to run this location. Sadly, something changed her viewpoint on life, and she's now abusive as heck to everyone beneath her. How sad that I live 2 blocks from this McD's, and yet, I choose to visit the location in Monticello instead. I am only giving 1 star because Yelp will not let me post with zero stars :( read more

Stopped in to grab a quick lunch. Waited 5 min at front counter without any greeting. At least 3 team members looked at us and did or said nothing. I asked if we could place order. Eventually they said hi to us and waited 4 more minutes to order food. Came back up after we received food. Tried to order shakes. Machine was down. Tried apples pies. Had none available. This location always has equipment down. From digital screens to shake machine. Not sure how this owner keeps it going. Must be out of state read more

If it were possible to give NO stars I would but these people DO NOT CARE about customers! a member of my family went there for breakfast. The order was almost completely WRONG! a member of my family returned to get them to get it right got back home & they STILL got part of it wrong at this point we were beyond angry how many times are we supposed to order our food BEFORE they get it right! a member of my family returned AGAIN All we wanted was our food right & decent customer service instead when confronted with the problem at hand my family member was asked to leave & not return. Tonight I waited almost 10 minutes in the drive thru for the car ahead of me, when I got to the window I got my immediately but was disappointed right away. Well I have had several issues with this McDonald's and there 100% customer satisfaction is a total joke. The solution of Murray Enterprises, Inc. is to ban me from the restaurant according to their Director, I would recommend that you go to Monticello and not this store as it is a corporate store. Let's talk about this morning I order 2 Egg McMuffins, 2 Sausage McMuffins, 4 Hash Browns, and a Large Orange Juice. When I received my order, I had to remind the girl in the drive through that I had an Orange Juice I should have taken this as a sign of what the rest of the order would be like. When I got home I gave my Wife her Egg McMuffins and was immediately told that there was Sausage on them and no Canadian Bacon, these were Wrapped as Egg McMuffins. So, I contact Jake at the store and ask for him to get the General Manger as this is not the first issue with them, I was told that he was not there and he would not contact him. So, I contact Tim Genck the Franchise owner and his first complaint was that I was disturbing his families breakfast, I informed him that mine was also. I am guessing that he did not get his food at the Big Lake McDonald's He personally asked me to return to the store and they would replace my entire order, in hind sight this would have been the right thing, but me being a fair-minded person only wanted them to get me two egg mcmuffins that were incorrect. I went to the store they gave me the egg mcmuffins and little more than 7 dollars in cash, i went home at least knowing they had this right for my wife. I gave the egg mcmuffins to my wife and opened my Sausage McMuffin and notice a large chunk missing from the English Muffin Top. At this point I was totally fed up with the food. I wrote an email to the general cast of people including the CEO of McDonald's and on my way to go shopping returned the Sausage McMuffin Sandwich. When I returned from shopping my phone rang and it was the Director of Murray Enterprises, Inc she asked me why I keep returning as there is nothing they can to fix this, and she informed me that I was not welcome back, I asked for this to be put in writing she said she would contact the police for Harassment. The Answer at this McDonald's is if they get it wrong then do not go back, or you will be asked not to return. read more

Tonight when I gave them one more try and was like they can not mess up chicken mc nuggets, I was wrong. I ordered 2 - 10 piece chicken mc nuggets, and they rung them up as 6 pieces that by the way cost more than the 2 for 5 special. I called the manager Mike (manager?), and asked for the Franchise owner but he did not know how to get a hold of her, and I asked for the store manager, but he had left. There was this story that McDonald's was going to offer more customization to help increase your sales, I have another suggestion to improve your sagging sales. It is called putting the customer first. I have pretty much swore off McDonald's for two major reasons. The overall quality of your food and poor customer service. But this morning my wife convinced me that we should take a quick run to McDonald's and we arrived there at about 10:22 just 8 mins before you switch over to lunch. I put in my order of 2 Sausage McMuffins NO EGG and a hash brown, and my wife wanted the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich from the lunch menu. We were promptly told that they were only serving breakfast. At that point I should have just cut my losses and said no thank you and I told you so to my Wife but I did get the breakfast items. When I got to the pay window the girl did not have any pennies and wanted to run go get some to I could get change. Maybe it is me but since I was the only person in line I would have thought that when she was almost out or under 10 pennies she would have done this between customers and not expected me to wait, even if it was 4 pennies it was not worth it. When I got to the next window it took about a min and I was sent on my way. My wife was still upset over not able to get lunch so we went to the DQ that is just down the street and ordered there Chicken sandwitch, and being that they just opened they told us that it would take about 5 mins for them to make it... We said not a problem we would wait, and they made the sale for the food. To think that if McDonnald's had said it will take a few minuets to make us the sandwich we would not have gone down the road, and you would had a sale of $11 or $12. You not only gave me another good reason to not go back but you gave us a reason to try a place we had not ever tried before and the food was good. Oh and one small other thing to think of, the McMuffins I got tasted funny, the meat was dry and the english muffins were almost soggy. I think they were OLD, so I do not think I will make the option again for these. And the last thing I went to the web site for the store and I could basicly send a tweet to the manager in 400 characters or less. read more
