On Friday, April 4th, 2025, I visited this McDonald's located at 2541 Del Prado Blvd N, Cape Coral, FL 33909 In my adult life, and with the transition to automatic kiosk systems, I've noticed a drastic decline in customer service . Due to my past experiences, I've chosen to order through the McDonald's app to avoid direct interaction with recent bad customer service. As I was waiting for my order I notice that this by far was the most filthiist dining room area I have ever step into. There were no clean tables and trash left on the floor. The order number placards when you order through the kiosk were still left on several tables as no employees number one cleaned any of the tables for new customers or second cleaned the dining area. The absolute worst McDonald's location I have ever been too. I've given them one too many chances. I pass this location often and it's just an easy fast food place to hit but I'm absolutely done now. When I say it's consistently bad...it's been consistently bad for over 4 years now. I'm not sure if it's the same owner who just doesn't care or what but it's absolutely bizarre and shame on the owner for letting this place run the way it does. We're missing items in our bag all the time, after the second time it happened we would just check the order before driving away because it happens so often. If you do delivery, you're probably going to be missing an item 95% of the time or it will be wrong or both. Apparently, they set it up now on their delivery sites where you cannot get a refund if they don't give you something or mess your order up so now you're just out money if they stiff you on your food. For example; I have attached a photo of a Quarter Pounder I ordered with no onions, cheese, mustard, Ketchup and Pickles and I received a quarter pounder with no cheese, bunch of onions and no mustard. I sent the photo into the delivery site and was told McDonalds no longer "offers refunds"...so I called the store and no one answered. I wrote them on Facebook and they insisted someone should contact me and it's been 5 days, and I have not heard from anyone. Just like last time when we had bones in our nuggets (also attached a picture) and they would not call me back. I actually got a hold of a manager at one point and when I told her I found bones in the chicken nuggets, she hung up on me. I tried to call back and no answer so I gave up. I tried to write McDonalds again on Facebook to let them know I did not receive a call, maybe they could just credit me a quarter pounder on my account so I can get a better one from a different location and they read it and didn't write back. The amount of money I've wasted here and have either received nothing or the wrong item is absolutely insane. Even breakfast is a disaster. Every single time the bacon is undercooked, rubbery and cold. I wish I had unlimited money to run a McDonalds into the ground like the person who runs this one has done because clearly they must have unlimited money and not care if they're not making any effort to fix this place when the reviews are almost all negative. A horrible day. Husband had to go to ER on his Birthday. 7 hours Then due to husband not feeling well couldn't go to Applebees as planned. No one had eaten all day We went through the drive thru. Ordered 2 fish sandwiches alone and a fish filet meal plus milkshake. Got to pick up window only 2 sandwiches. He checked our bag and told us to drive around and come in. No explanation. Thinking we were getting the missing sandwich instead said they missed the sandwich daughter had to leave my sick husband and I waiting then she finally came out. Had to pay extra $5 to get sandwich they missed. Then fries was only half full hard and cold sandwiches looked thrown together and my husband's birthday was ruined. The only reason we stopped there was an add for fish fillets thru March 28th buy one get one for a dollar and they said deal was up. I'll never go there again. Love McDonalds, my guilty pleasure for years. However today we experienced the rudest customer service. I used the app and had a coupon for the meal. The cashier said the coupon didn't work. I showed it to her and she said "oh well" and then said to refresh it. I refreshed it and it then said I could only use one coupon. She then replied you must have used it. I was standing in front of her showing her the coupon that hadn't been used before I refreshed the screen. She then said again "oh well". I said can you ask the manager because they've helped before when this happens (sometimes the app does this). She said "I can get them but they won't do anything ". She came back alone and said the manager said they can't do anything. Her tone was abrasive, short and rude. Totally uncalled for. I went ahead and paid because the $2 savings isn't that big of a deal. However her attitude certainly is a big deal. They really need to learn customer service at this location. read more

There is nothing fast about this fast food. We have been here numerous times because it's close to home. It took 20 minutes to get our food tonight. They need to consider new management the current group just cannot handle the volume this store has. They are Always under staffed and never friendly. Everytime we want a milkshake or ice cream at night, they tell us the machine is broken. I worked at a MCD when I was in college this means they were trying to get out early so they break downs the machine and cleans the parts early. This store constantly mixes up orders. We live close to this specific McDonald's, our little family have been experiencing the change in service over time here, which has been quite noticeable to the point that I have to take the time to write this. Straight to it: the last 5-6 times we've been there, walk in - stood there a good 10-15 mns, no one at the front to take orders yet 15 people in the back which we (all customers) can hear gossiping about all their personal and day to day drama with literally no filters, as if we didn't exist. Once someone decides we've all waited long enough, they come up as if they're doing us a favor by taking our orders (their facial expressions say it all), we don't feel welcome at all and that alone could make anyone feel almost guilty for being there. The last couple of time we've avoided the drive thru because the line moves too slow, I'm sure it would go much quicker if everyone could drop the gossip and be on the same page, this it's obviously a result of bad/weak both leadership and training. I'm not an advocate for AI taking jobs but I've experienced an automated McDonald's in Texas and the peace, cleanliness and efficiency alone really makes me question if that's the solution to issues like this. And trust me, I know how hard it could be to be motivated by $12-$13 dollars per hr, but everyone in there took the time to apply for the job, I don't understand how one's self could not care for their image as an individual, attitudes and the way a simple smile and welcome could actually lift up the spirits of hundreds of people in a day. I've worked customer service, I get it, but if I don't like what I'm doing I quickly work on ways to change my ways and better whatever situation I'm in. We're not all the same clearly, but it's no one's fault if you're not motivated by your job, it is solely the responsibility of the individual to make the necessary adjustments, and if that's too much to ask for then simply quit and move on to the next thing in life. Life's too short to be working at an establishment where you're dreading every damn second. In simpler words my review of this place stands, I meant every word I just wrote including this: the people here simply suck, the service is horrible, the wait time and lines are simply not worth it for a, lest be honest, crap burger...the attention to details here suck. Sat in drive thru for 22min. Line was backed up people would sit in line and leave but myself I had no choice but to sit and wait it out. Finally Get food (no apologies, no free ice cream NO nothing) which okay it's cool. Finally drive home OPEN bag and bam I'm shorted fries w/2 of our meals. Tried the new crispy chicken sandwich today and it was the worst! If McDonald's thinks they can be in the chicken sandwich game they better step it up. The bun was toasted pretty dark and the chicken breast was really small, two measly pickles. Definitely not worth the money! Popeye's and Chick-fil-A win hands down for chicken breast sandwiches! I can't believe I'm writing a review for a fast food restaurant, but here we are... I've been to this place several times over the past several months, each time giving them the benefit of the doubt.. and that's only because my wife loves Big Macs. From now on, we're going to have to go somewhere else, even if it's an extra 10 minute drive. They constantly get our orders wrong, never have apple pies, have no idea how their online/curbside system works, and are basically a mess every time I go there. I don't know if it's a problem with the store management or if McDonald's truly does not give a flying Fry Guy as a whole.. but avoid this location. tl;d: If you get a mac attack, go somewhere else.; it'll be worth it. Cold food forgot my daughter's milk after waiting 45min inside for to go order, Manager refused to give me a receipt.

This is really a negative 5 star review! The WORST McDonald's I have EVER been to in my life! Every single time I order from here something goes wrong. I order on the app so they can SEE what I'm ordering & hopefully get it right. A few months ago I order a Diet Coke with my food & the kid comes out & says they're out of Diet Coke & asks if I want anything else. I said no - well guess what? I paid for it on the app but no refund. Today I go - I waited over 15 minutes for my food - someone else pulls up - about 5 minutes later he gets his food and leaves (I had been waiting over 10 minutes at that point and only ordered a cheeseburger, triple cheeseburger, large fry & large soda). I call them & ask what is going on & they act like they have no clue that I'm waiting over 15 minutes, have paid - and tell me to pull through the drive-thru which I did. So now I waited over another 5 minutes behind all of the other cars in the drive thru even though I selected curbside. So I get to the pick up window & guess what? They're all clueless & full of excuses. I tell the Hispanic manager lady to refund my money NOW! She said she would. I'm not holding my breath! I waited over another 5 minutes & finally get my food which looks like something that's been sitting around for days. They are VERY good at filling your French fry holder halfway up - I'll give them that! Phenomenal at turning your day into complete crap! I don't know how this location stays in business but probably from screwing people out of money like they have to me. I have complained to corporate once already & they truly don't care. Im not sure why I'm even bothering with this review as I see there are PLENTY reviews where they can improve and they have the done the opposite. Customer service is out the window at this branch. Unsure as to the lack of training but there's got to be a reason the restaurant as a whole is a disaster. From messing up orders to being lazy to being disrespectful to customers. I get it's fast food and you pay for what you get but at some point they had to stop caring overall whether or not their customers are satisfied because they are the only branch within the immediate area. I'm extremely disappointed as someone who's worked customer service a LONG TIME I hope they are able to get some employees who actually enjoy customer service and customer satisfaction. read more

So poor that it doesn't even deserve a one. I went through the drive thru. Paid for my meal, and they proceeded to ask me to park and wait for my order. After 15 minutes of waiting, I called and asked where my food was.....I had the receipt with the order number and all.....they didn't have an order for me although I had a receipt for paying them almost $9. Inexcusably bad service.....finally after another 10 minutes I got my food and a mumbled apology. You might have thought they would have refunded my money for the half hour of wasted time. Typing or dictating into the phone is a giant pain in the butt. Suffice it to say the customer service at this location overall is terrible. That's a management problem. It's really bad. I live less than a mile from it so it's hard to not stop from time to time. And it regularly disappoints me. To be fair, twice I had excellent service from two young men at the counter. this mcdonald is convienent as i live near it and provides average service and good food. the ice cream machine usually WORKS which is a blessing. i enjoy going and it is open at a convienent time for midnight snacks and early morning road trips. from time to time they will be a bit slow, but overral is one of the better mcdonald's i've been to in cape. service is quick unlike steak and shake. the workers can be a bit slow from time to time, but overral are decent and aren't bad at there job. read more
