You can't visit McDonald's without having your order made wrong. I visited this McDonald's today, and the employee on the intercom was surprisingly kind. She did take my order wrong though, and I didn't know until I got my food that she billed me for two happy meals when I ordered one. The employee at the first window was very weird. He literally read the order wrong. What he said was completely different from my receipt. Then, at the other window they didn't have any of my drinks or food ready. The employee at the second window didn't say a single word of me. I was expecting at least a "Hello." Also, the apple slices were missing out of my kids' happy meals. The only somewhat healthy part. I really hate this McDonald's, and hope to never visit again. read more

Unlike previous Yelpers, my service was just fine. This Dawson GA McDonald's was very clean, and their gender-specific restrooms were fine, at least the Men's was. The young woman at the counter was friendly and efficient. My order was the Maple-Bacon Artisanal burger and at $4.99, it was a heck of a bargain! Very tasty. The large McD's coffee for a buck was also very good, better than expected. I don't go to McD's often, but this experience made me a fan. read more

We waited for probably 15 minutes after we were instructed to wait in a parking spot. I had to get out of the car to retrieve our food from the counter, contradicting the whole purpose of the drive through. Once I got to the counter, I had to wait another 5 minutes because our food "wasn't ready yet". All of this while I'm observing the woman that told us to wait FINALLY start putting fries in my daughters happy meal. When I finally get back to my car, the burgers that we ordered were less than warm and the cheese looked like plastic decorations. Not to mention, we watched vehicle after vehicle behind us get their food. Now, I don't like doing saying things like this because I believe in equality. I'm Filipino and my wife is white. I don't know if the woman at the drive through was racially profiling my wife, but after the sub par service we were so graciously given, an apology would have been nice. Girl taking our order charged us for water. Then the manager rolled her eyes and said "I guess you can give them water in this little cup but you will have to get it out of the sink because we don't have water in the beverage bar". I agree with another lady from Birmingham that noted this McDonald's is the slowest ever. I probably said that 2-3 times in the wait we had for a cheeseburger and a drink. It took us 10 minutes to get through the line on a Sunday around 2 PM. Everything about this restaurant was a joke. ZERO stars. This is absolutely by far the WORST McDonald's that I have EVER encountered in my ENTIRE life. I just stood and waited for my food for 45 minutes, while the front line did not once inquire as to my ticket number, nor make eye contact with me long enough to hear my request for someone to please check the status of my order. Not a single name tag on an employee, or tucked in shirt....plain sloppy. Meanwhile, the managers are arguing in the drive-thru area, dropping F-bombs. I watched employees walk out into the lobby on their break, and not 3 minutes after sitting down, observed the front line worker walk out and BRING THEIR FOOD TO THEM, as the rest of the 10-15 customers stood there and waited. They refused to give me my money back, so I felt obligated at this point to get my order - which was 3 dbl cheeseburgers, 2 ten piece nuggets, a large fry, and 3 drinks. Not rocket science. I spoke with 2 managers, who were less than helpful in trying to resolve the situation, and when I asked for their supervisor, I was given a number by "Dominique," which I called and spoke with the owner, "Henry." While being very apologetic, still, he did not once ask for my name, but he did at least ask how far away I was because he would refund me for the experience, but at this point, I'm not backtracking for $16. We are already an hour behind, due to what we THOUGHT would be a 5-10 minute McDonald's stop. I never once raised my voice or spoke negatively to anyone in the store, but I cannot say the same for some of the other customers who were beyond perturbed. Service at this level is unacceptable, plain and simple. This McDonalds is not only slow, the people who work there must never have been taught customer service. We frequent this highway on road trips and have had more then one negative experience. The drive thru needs a translator bc they don't seem to understand English. At the window when you try to explain why you order is wrong, the workers argue with you, and crowd around the pick up window laughing and giggling like it's a high school fight. Now we're are providing receipts, and more arguing ensues leading up to the point where we just say "add another drink please, we will pay extra for it". This seems to calm the chattering and caterwauling of the workers in the window who are still laughing but disappointed the show is over. Maybe if they mess up the next guys order they can start a new show.......popcorn anyone? read more

Went through the drive in on Tuesday and they asked me to pull up to wait for my dog's McDouble. Out trots a woman who refused to come all the way to my car, three steps away! I asked her is she was too lazy to bring it all the way to my car, and she shook her head YES! I had to pull my car up to satisfy her! I told her she was the laziest person I have ever met on a job! Also she should not be allowed to have 1 inch fake nails, painted a green or blue, cannot remember the color! If you want to experience the longest McDonalds line ever with the slowest service. Stop by this one! I'm not sure if they are new, not trained enough or just don't care. 1st, napkins in the ladies room versus toilet paper. 2 order lines but no clear indication of what line to get in. One female order taker was having trouble taking the person next to us order (& it sounded simple to me) - she had to have our guy come erase it & start over. Then you clump together & wait & wait & wait for your order # to pop up on a screen. After witnessing 3 people in front of us come back because something was missing- we checked our order before taking it. They give you cups to get your own drink. My husband tried 2 different diet cokes- both came out clear. He told the workers - they said it's been out awhile & NOONE has time to change it. Gave him back his $. No "sorry", etc. since there is not much to choose from in the route (Albany- Birmingham) we hope they can improve but I'll stay clear. read more

Went through drive thru - asked what I would like before I could even begin my order was told to hold - I was in the first drive thru closest to store - no other cars were in line - a black car pulled up in the other drive thru and got right through - as I say there waiting another car pulled up in the the opposite lane and I could hear them giving their order - so I said "hello" through" the speaker and this lady said I'm busy you'll just have to wait - so I asked why the other cars were being waited on and she stated if I didn't like it to come in or pull through and leave - then I asked to speak to the manager - was told she was to busy to talk if I wanted to talk to her I had to come in - so I pulled around and went in - a very pleasant woman asked if she could help me - I gave her my order and was done in less than 3 min - then I asked to speak to the manager whom I could see and she saw me but ignored me - then another manager a man came in the door ( from break or just coming in) heard me and quickly came over and asked what he could do to help - I told him the story and said I have never been treated like this before - and he assured me he would take care of it - on my way out he was speaking to customer service girl who denied the whole thing and said I was lying - this is really sad to think other people think they can treat people like this - I know this store gets a lot of bad service reviews and honestly with employees like this - it's totally justified- however she is only one the rest of the employees that helped me were extremely gracious read more

I wish I could pick negative stars. This is the worst anything I've ever been to. I have been three times. First two fit only a diet Coke. Both times got the wrong drink after a lengthy wait. Third time about ten min ago I order a quarter pounder. That's it. Ordered twice at the drive through. No one ever confirmed they heard me or anything. Oh both time the person taking drive through orders only said "Help you?". Ingo to the window to pay. Surprise they don't have my order. So I pay 4.70 for a quarter pounder. Not the meal. No drink. No fries. I get to the pick up window. Surprise please pull into parking space one to wait on your quarter pounder. Fast forward 20 min. No one has brought me my food. I go in and there are at least 20 customers in there. Most of which were trading wrong orders or wanting to see a manager. I go up to the counter and stand there for at least 2 min and no one working said a word to me or any other customer. Finally I started calling to employees and no one acknowledged me in any way. So I go and try going back through the drive through. Nope. 10 more min and it's at a stand still. I just left. I'm at work and do not have time to wait anymore. So 40 min wasted with the rudest most unprofessional employees I've ever seen and still no food. I can't say enough bad things about this place.
