I don't see how this restaurant is open.. I live close by and since I've lived here i always have issues with this restaurant. Drive thru takes forever. They can never get an order right . And a few of the cashiers are very unfriendly. But tonight beats it all. I went thru the drive thru placed my order. Get to the window to pay and I am told they don't have any apple pies. If I wanted them it would be a 12 minute wait. I told them I'd wait . No biggie. I go too the 2nd window they hand me my food n drinks. Ask me to pull forward for my apple pies. Ok... I'm sitting there the 12 - 13 mins and the cashier brings my pies out in a bag.. Thought everything was fine... Get home , eat,, go for the Apple pies and they were ICE COLD. Raw .. Probably the worst McDonalds in NKY. They never get your order correct and are indifferent about fixing issues. They constantly are forgetting straws, kids drinks, and constantly mess up my orders. I was attempting to order the other day when a kid in plain clothes walked behind the counter and started talking to the cashier. I had to repeated my order three times and they still screwed it up. Its McDonalds so you get what you pay for but make sure you speak slowly and check your order! read more

Trying a different approach after contacting the store 20+ times over the past year. I get an apology and an offer of free food but no one corrects the problems at this location. Clearly a case of an owner only worried about profits. We go there daily for sweet tea. The lines are incredibly long. Service always slow. Regularly get the wrong item and end up returning. We often just go back in to the lobby but the drink station hasn't been cleaned properly since the place opened. Often times no one at the window to process the sale if you do make it to order. If only Wendy's had Styrofoam cups and good tea. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Went in for a quick breakfast on Sunday morning, me and my girlfriend ordered two steak bagels. Roughly a ten minute wait for our food. Went back to the table, and my girlfriends order was incorrect, she got a steak biscuit. Went back up, and they handed her a bagel. Wrong again! This time the bagel was bacon. Took the bagel back up and then the wait began. We sat and waited 30 minutes for this replacement bagel. Everyone inside had eaten and left in the time we had been waiting. We finally go up to ask about the order, and they said they had ran out of steak but they were putting some down now. What? Why didn't you use the available steak to immediately remake the incorrect order? Why didn't you let us know you were out earlier? The cashier and manager were very rude when we let our complaint know and acted like they had done nothing wrong. It was ridiculous, and this sort of interaction has happened at this McDonald's on multiple occasions. I refuse to to go here again, convenient location, but not worth the hassle. read more

I can honestly say that I have never been to a worse McDonalds. The odd thing is that it's pretty much always been like this. The tables are always filthy, the floor a mess and the food prep and staging areas in shambles. The drive thru is the slowest in the area, and service inside is just as bad. A majority of the employees seem more interested in their smart phones and flirting with the opposite sex than customer service and cleanliness. I have to think that this location is a franchise, with the same owner from the beginning. It comes down to management, and its apparent this location lacks any leadership. Even the managers are part of the problem. I'm amazed at the people in line with me that have the same complaints. Please please please, learn how to manage a restaurant and do the basics! read more

Terrible experience. Walked in to an employee walking around the dining area, cussing out her baby daddy. Waited at the counter for someone to take our order, didn't say anything or get upset. Manager on duty walked up with a snarl and told us we were going to just have to wait because they were taking orders at the window first. Faltered and swore I would never go back but did - got me again. At the drive thru - again. told my little ones we could go out to eat for a treat - since fast food is essentially junk food anyway that's a treat right. They of course wanted happy meals - ahhh those toys in the box. I tried to sway them to no avail. Well, no happy meal box - that's been a common theme at the independence store - about 50% of the time you get a bag instead of a box - I ask and they just shrug - like meh what are you asking me for. kids are asking why no box, that's part of the fun right. Get the kids a cheeseburger and a nugget meals. Got to our destination (maybe 4 minutes) and Nuggets were so old the breading pulled away from the nuggets and tore off like cardboard. The chicken basically fell out of the bread pocket at that point. Why do we do it, I tell ya. My daughter couldnt eat them - she's finally convinced now that we shouldn't go back - despite the toy. Cause this time there wasn't even a saving grace by sharing our food. Why you ask. Got a chicken sandwich and a couple of crispy chicken ranch wraps too - fries. Another barely half full large fry and wish I would have thought to have taken pics - I was quite literally in awe. The chicken wraps were floppy, half filled, few sprigs of lettuce, burnt to a crisp and rancid tasting. I unfortunately tried to take a bite before checking. When I say burnt and rancid, I mean it was bitter and nasty and turning blackish colored. Had to spit out what managed to come off in my mouth immediately and wash my mouth out. The chicken was so burnt and dry. Never seen or tasted anything like it from a restaurant. Clearly they had charcoaled a piece of chicken in the fryer, either on purpose or otherwise but said screw it - cut it in half and threw each half in a tortilla with about 8 shreds of lettuce that was not so much wrapped as sort of tossed in a paper wrap and cobbled into the bag. We got both halves of that abused piece of chicken. I managed to nab the other one from my little girl before she took a bite - that went over well since the nuggets were a bust too and the chicken sandwich although not burnt tasted like year old burnt out grease - still had the rancid part going for it. We pieced them together and just shook our heads in shock at just how a restaurant owner/manager would have the moral fortitude to knowingly and willingly serve such rancid food. Who knows the health risks, anything tasting that bad can't be good. One thing is for sure - you won't see anymore 1 ratings from me, nor my cash because now my kids are finally over you too so maybe I should thank you instead. read more

McDonald's is a known restaurant. A fun place to sit down and enjoy a nice quick meal or even go through the drive through for a quick pick up. However it was not an enjoyable visit. In the past we have went to this specific McDonald's and a worker was eating their lunch in the eating area,which is fine. However they were yelling to the people in the back all the way across the restaurant. Today we asked for a wrap... They didn't have them. Then we asked for a smoothie... Their machine was broke. Not only that... But their ice cream machine was also broke. We then ask for dr.pepper. Guess what? They are out of that too. Lastly we ask for a styrofoam cup do our drink will stay cold.. And they are out of that also. So then we pay for our meal and when we get home... We find out that they didn't give us the amount of food that we paid for. So,in conclusion I would not recommend this McDonald's at all. read more

7/7/2012 - Went to this mcDonald's at 8AM. All the food was barely warm, egg mcmuffin, hashbrowns and coffee. The cashier was sullen. No napkins in the one dispenser (at 8AM?) The floor was so dirty, my shoes made a sticking sound when I walked. Most of the table tops were dirty, finally found one half clean. I didn't have the heart to use the bathroom if the rest of the place was so slovenly. The management here obviously doesn't care. Usually McDonald's is one place you can count on but not this one. I went through the drive through and the lady on the speaker asked if I wanted to try their new Cheddar, Bacon and Onion burger. I told her that I would take two of them but I wanted to know if the burger was 1/3 pound or 1/4 pound. She came back on the speaker after a moment to inform me it was a 3 pound burger. At that moment, someone else broke in over their speaker system asking for me to clarify my order, this new woman was talking over the one taking my order. The new woman said, ok you want a chicken sandwich meal? I asked who she was talking to since I had not said anything close to that. She said she was very busy and talking to three people at one time, I suggested she concentrate on the other two then come back to me when she was ready to give me her attention. My order, when she DID come back to me was, 2 Bacon, Cheddar and Onion Angus burgers, 6 pc chicken Mc Nuggets ( for my dog) 2 fish sandwiches and 2 orders of fries. What I discovered when I got home with the bag was that I had two of the nastiest deep fried chicken sandwiches with Cheddar, onion and bacon on them. They had been cooked in some very old grease or had been laying around for an hour or so under the heat lamp. The two orders of fries were just as nasty, greasy, cold , my wife's fish sandwiches appeared to have been thrown into the boxes with only a suggestion of trying to position them as a sandwich. One of them had no top at all in the box. On a good note, my dog loved the chicken nuggets. Of course she also licks her own butt so I suppose her vote doesn't count for much. Worst location ever. If it gave me the option I would give 0 stars. My order is always wrong. They have immature teenagers working there that are always on their cell phones. Dirty tables. Leaking ceiling. Fountain drinks taste like carbonated water. The chocolate milk was expired and even the replacement they tried to give us was as well. Let me tell you about the worst experience I've had there yet. It was about noon and we were eating lunch there. We walk upon the registers and two girls were on their cell phones the girl working the drive thru window asked if one of the girls were going to take our order and the girl says "I don't care". She didn't wash her hands or anything after using her cell phone and began messing with the fries. 5 minutes later someone else took our order. We get our food everything was wrong and we ordered nothing out of the ordinary besides a plain cheeseburger. And I kid you not it just had two buns no meat no cheese nothing but buns. I watched someone squirt caramel in their mouth as I was getting more BBQ sauce. A guy was vacuuming the floor and someone yelled we need help on the grill. I watched him not put gloves on or wash his hands and I said, "is he going to wash his hands??????" They looked at me like I was crazy. The girl working the drive thru goes "did you wash your hands" he goes, "no". I said that's nasty and a health hazard he needs to wash his hands!!! Then not even a minute later a man storms through the door and yells, demanding to talk to a manager. The girl says she's not here sorry then walks away. The guy starts fuming demanding to speak to a manager finally one comes to the front counter and he slams a box of chicken nuggets on the counter and yells, "someone took a bite out of my chicken nugget" and then shows her. You could hear a pen drop in that place. He gets new chicken nuggets and leaves. Then the manager goes "I need to go smoke" then leaves. I have NOTHING good to say about this McDonald's! Every time i go there, there is always something wrong with my order. I'm fed up with it so today i decided to give the manager a call and i had spoken to Liz, she claims to be the manager, but she sounded nothing like a manager should. I went thru the drive thru this morning to order a caramel latte and when i got to work to take a sip of it, it tasted NOTHING like a caramel latte. It was Burnt! So when i called to speak to the manager and i told her about it she didn't offer me a discount,or a free latte, or even apologize! She just told me well our machine makes its own lattes so our machine could be broken. I mean really she could of said ma'am i apologize i will take a look at our machine and get it fixed if it was the machine.But no she didn't. I even told her this is not the first time my order has been messed up its happened MANY times, and she just like tried to brush it off. So i told her you need to tell your employees to stop rushing customers out there and check the orders before they go out. She was just quiet so i hung up on her. I would never ever recommend this place to ANYONE! I wouldn't recommend it to a dog let alone a human being.
