It's one of my friend's favorite places to eat in his neighborhood. I guess I don't blame him. It's…read morerather cool, I guess. My friend and I ventured here after making a quick stop at Starbucks. I ended up spending close to $20 here during my time here, since I was celebrating the fact that I had completed another 26.2 mile foot race event in Lennox, South Dakota earlier that day. We needed food and copious amounts of it to recover. With that said, we came to Arby's even after Burger King and McDonald's looked pretty good on the drive over. After parking and walking in with tired legs, it was nice to have majority of the restaurant completely empty. Yes, it was a Sunday after all, but still cool to have the restaurant dining area all to ourselves. There was no line so I got a lot of time to just decide on what I wanted. I settled on the smokehouse burger I think. Got the meal with a large upsize. I also added fish sticks thing that they were advertising on their menu board. I was like, what the hell, I was celebrating a marathon finish, so I got that included with my order. For the most part, though, it was an ordinary fast food experience that was very nice. I enjoyed the quiet ambience of the restaurant. Wow my friend and I eat and the company was awesome too. The restaurant itself was clean, and we sat near the entrance to the restaurant in a booth. It was definitely the highlight of my day at this Arby's besides crossing the finish line in Lennox earlier that morning. The overall experience here at this Arby's in Mitchell, South Dakota was very good, especially the ambience and the entire experience post ordering. I like to dine in a quiet atmosphere that leads me to my thoughts and other things with my friend I could talk as loud as we want, but at a respectable level. As far as the service goes, it was basically typically fast food. Just order and Grab your food maybe about 5 to 10 minutes later. Very little interaction with the staff if any. The dude who took my order was friendly, and seemed like he wanted to be there especially, on a Sunday afternoon. It was nice to come to someplace not McDonald's or Burger King or even a Jack in the Box like we have in Honolulu Hawaii. I think we have Arby's there, but not in my neighborhood and I have to travel. So coming to Arby's here in Mitchell, South Dakota.was a treat in a way because I didn't really never had it on a regular basis. So it was a treat for me. The experience last year for about 45 minutes from ordering to sitting down and Dining before heading out to sightsee for the rest of the day. The food is basic, fast, food, fair, but really enjoyable, because I did something that most people usually don't do on our weekly basis, which is running a marathon. So this trip to Arby's is basically a reward and at some level and also lunch. I enjoyed the smokehouse burger, which came with french fries and I enjoyed the self service drink station. Fraser is pretty good, which I ended up eating first before starting with the burger. The burger was delicious and it was a great complement to the french fries. The drink was awesome and really completes the meal along with the extra side of the fish sticks. I personally favorite fish sticks over the french fries but I love fish my name fries anyway. If you love Arby's or an alternative to McDonald's or Burger King and are in the Sioux Falls or Mitchell South Dakota area, consider coming to Arby's. This Arby's location is situated hats, 1500 S Burr Street in Mitchell, South Dakota. They accept major credit cards, and as always cash is king anywhere, including here. As far as parking goes, they have a sizable parking lot for y'all to drive. Not sure about public transportation options in Mitchell, but best bet is to have a car no doubt. I am thankful for my friend who was driving me around during my short stent in Mitchell at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Thankful for him to come to this Arby's says that steakhouse burger really hit the spot and definitely was a good lunch after running 26.2 miles in Lennox earlier in the day. If you decide on coming to Arby's, best bet is to Go online and see the menu before you decide on what you want. I've been there where I just stood there at the counter and staring at the menu for five minutes before deciding what I wanted. Not a good thing if there is a line after you, but it was cool because during my time here in Mitchell Arby's, there was no line anyway. Definitely recommended if you don't like the other fast food choices out there, but still want some thing, fast, affordable, and in the neighborhood. If you're ever in the area of Sioux Falls, or Mitchell, South Dakota, come on by. They love to have you. I know I enjoyed my visit, and I hope to come again soon, if my future travels permit me to do so. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 5.0 stars for the ambiance and location. 4.0 stars for the food. 3.0 stars for the prices. I don't eat the sandwich but I wrap it up and drive back to subway because that is not the way I asked for my sandwich, so when I arrive, this older lady gives me a dirty look and then goes what did they mess up on your sandwich and I say they didn't put any onions at all and I asked for more jalapeños on there. She goes, you can only put 6 jalapeños on a footlong and I ask her why? And she says that is just the recommendation, you have to ask for more and I say well I asked for more on my order and I put it in the instructions box so can you remake my sandwich? She takes it to the back and this guy brings it out and goes more jalapeños in a rude tone. And I try to ask him if there is onions and he just keeps walking away from me as if he doesn't hear me so I check it before I leave and I say there's still no onions so the older lady kind of snatches it back and puts some. I was not trying to cause a scene but if I ask for my sandwich or any type of food to be made a certain way, I expect it to be made that way because I am paying for it and if you mess up on a persons sandwich, DO NOT have an attitude and just fix it because it was your mistake. I just didn't expect the staff to be so rude like that especially on something they messed up.

On my way to the Sioux Falls regional airport for my trip home, I made a stop to pick up lunch /…read moreearly dinner at Subway, which happened to be inside Walmart. I love Subway and have rekindled that love when it was time to lose weight. 3 months ago in between travel. Subway is also a quick and healthy decision at any time of the day. With that said, my friend wanted to shop at Walmart and I picked up a footlong sub here. The reason why this experience stuck out to me was that the service was sloppy as I saw the sandwich artist make the sandwich. The sloppiness came when she was loading the veggies and you could tell that she may be a newbie or still in training. A bunch of it spilt back into the veggie holding trays and it was a bit messy. I watched as she fumbled around with what fell out with what was still on the sandwich. It was a tragic display and definitely disappointed. The recalibration of the sandwich was awkward and the final product was disappointing. Although the end result was still a sandwich, she wrapped it in a careless fashion and put it in the paper bag without much thought. I then asked for 3 cookies, which she was good with. Needless to say, it was different. Usually don't see that in Subway, but you can see how people perform at work, like they really don't want to be there and trying to half ass things so time goes by faster. Been there but don't let anyone see it. It is what it is. The sandwich was delicious and I got the spicy Italian with the American cheese. The overall experience here at this particular Subway location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota was a departure from what I usually experience at a Subway or any fast food restaurant, in terms of service. You get to see how your order is being made at Subway, whereas the other fast food giants are made in the back and presented to you within 5-10 minutes of ordering. While the service was the major influence driving this review, it doesn't change the fact that I still love the company and what it represents to me. Maybe that staffer had a bad day that day and I saw it unfolding with my order. Who knows. Still, the sandwich was legitimate, and I enjoyed the taste of processed meat in the spicy Italian, especially the pepperoni. But the most part, though, it was an interesting ordeal to say. I would probably not come back to the subway, if my travels permitted me to do so just because of the experience I had here. Unless, of course, if there is a need to come. I tried to order with my SUBWAY® app, but it would not load properly, so I just did it randomly, and had my app scan the QR code and paid that way. There's not one thing that I don't love about so babe, but the attitude displayed by this subway stuff for made me rethink things. Sure we all have our bad days, but you shouldn't have it on display for customers to see. However, if you're in the area and need a bite to eat, this subway can be the one that is the solution for you. This Subway location is inside a Walmart superstore in downtown Mitchell, South Dakota next to the entrance and the cashiers. It's address is 1101 East Spruce Street here in Mitchell, SD. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. As far as parking goes, you're basically Walmart so they have a very generous parking option for y'all to park and shop here while grabbing a Subway for lunch or dinner. Not sure about the local public transportation system here in Mitchell, But best bet would be to have a rental car or a local friend in the area to drive you. If nothing else, you can use Uber / Lyft wherever available. And so, this episode of Subway fails comes to an end but hopefully it's one of those things where it's just isolated when not a chronic problem or issue. Hopefully it's not. Bad days happen to us all one way or another. Subway is great for those who love sandwiches and to those who want to eat healthy vs the traditional fast food restaurant. Consider Subway as your quick and healthy meal or snack solution during your travels in South Dakota and the surrounding region. 3.0 stars for the overall experience. 1.0 stars for the service. 4.0 stars for the food and 3.0 stars for the prices. 5.0 stars for the location since we needed to stop here on the way to the airport. It took a minute for someone to recognize that I was standing at the counter, but in their defense, one young lady was sitting on the floor stocking cups or something, and I am short so I can understand not seeing me. Once I was seen, the server was extremely pleasant. I ordered my Veggie sub with all the non-meat fixins'. I grabbed a bag of chips and a drink to make it a combo. The veggie sub was filling and tasty. It was also nice to eat in a clean store so I give them props for that as well.
