Rocky was knowledgeable, personable and very able in general. With four fishers we had between 6-10 rods out at a time, but when the hits started coming they kept coming. Very exciting, threw back a few small ones, but most were catch and eat size. Had a great time (and for the record my husband and I fish all over the country , virtually every time we travel, I have fished in Montana, Colorado, New York, and several other locations and grew up with ocean and bass fishing in Florida).

The boat ramp can get pretty busy on the weekends but there is a nice loop you can do that let's put into the river and then back. We missed the street that takes you to the park twice, when we finally found the place it had ample parking available. There is a playground which was packed on the Sunday afternoon that we visited. The restrooms are located next to the playground and were relatively clean. The park offers plenty of shade and was well maintained. There was a small outdoor gym where I saw 1 person utilizing. I saw people playing catch in the open field and several people were walking their dogs. You can walk, run or bike ride on the trail. There is a very peaceful area that over looks the river where we took pictures. We were able to get in several miles and more than my required steps for the day. I look forward to coming back to Amerson River Park.
