The two fryer guys are cool as beans too. They keep a big pot of grease on an old stove where the gas fire flames to the ceiling dam near! I didn't wait to look to see if the grease was old, I just wanted some fried fish. You can buy it raw as well. The prices are high as it's just a round the way joint. And if you looking for ambience keep it moving, they old & the building is too. So no fanciness here. It's old as hell inside & out. But they cook cleanly. They really needed to season my fish as I had to salt it liberally. Next time I'll tell her to season it first. Also she tried to put mustard on my fish--NO WAY. I had three colossal pieces of brim & two slices of bread with some fries on the side. They don't have any drinks to sell & no other sides as this is a fish joint fa real. They did offer other kinds of fish & shrimp. Fries were frozen. All this for $16. Fish was hot outta the grease & cooked perfectly. No napkins to catch the grease but newspaper to load it on. I sat down & thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Next time I'll order raw to take home.

These waters make you wonder whether some prehistoric creature will launch out of the waters at you if you get too close. Yet, you'll see kayakers padding all about these waters. Located in Twin City, Georgia, is a serene retreat spanning 1,634 acres with a 412-acre mill pond surrounded by cypress and tupelo trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a picturesque and tranquil environment. The park's centerpiece is the historic Parrish Mill, a combination gristmill, sawmill, covered bridge, and dam built in 1880. The mill, restored in 1998, occasionally operates and can grind up to 200 pounds of corn per hour, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of activities, including fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. The park offers 11 miles of trails for hikers, runners, and cyclists, as well as opportunities to spot wildlife like gopher tortoises, blue herons, and white ibis. For accommodations, the park provides lakeside camping, cozy cottages, picnic shelters, and a conference center.
