I recently renewed my Notary Commission and needed a new bond and stamp. I decided to try McGlone Insurance Services because I wanted to take my oath and have it recorded same day versus doing it through the mail like I did the first time I became a Notary. Also, I received info in the mail from McGlone advertising their services and they accept walk-ins, Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5 PM. McGlone also offers reasonable prices. The building is older but it is easy to see from Fulton and they have a private parking lot in the back. I purchased my bond from McGlone on the recommendation of the notary public instructor through UCSD. When I had questions about the process and called them, they were very courteous and helpful. When my Certificate of Authorization to Manufacture Seal arrived, I mailed it to McGlone on the very same day. One week went by and nothing. I called to check the status of my order and found out they had misplaced my certificate and they had not yet sent the order. Bummer!! At least one more week before I can open for business. Not good customer service. I would have loved to give them a better rating, but timeliness and competency are very important to me. As of this date, I have not received my order. read more
