My kids (4, 3, 1) all enjoy this park. The soft flooring is comforting knowing that if my child were to fall, it wouldn't be as devastating as wood chips or concrete. No sand! & that's wonderful. There is so much to do here. Lots of swings, slides, a merry go round type of thing, a seated tic tac toe station that rocks back & forth, monkey bars, a little maze with fun activities, little seats that spin, etc. There's also a restroom close by. Located between Nob Hill and Washington, off 32nd, this is a quality spot to take the kids, your dog or your favorite walking buddy! The park has a nice walking path that goes around the outside, some solid looking tennis courts, a great playground structure with swings and plenty of seating throughout. The parking lot is huge and is near he play land so it's easy to go grab whatever you forgot in the car! Unfortunately, there is no duck pond here, but otherwise it's a great spot to get everyone out and running around!

The first experience…read morewas about 25 years ago and consisted of playing at Sarge Hubbard Park followed by a decision to never go back given that it was not well kept up and any rougher area. Fast forward to the current time where are experienced recently was an entirely different one. Like many of the other parks in the area, this place has undergone a total transformation in the past decade or so and is now very nice and a place that we will be frequenting. At the entrance to the greenway path, lies Sarge Hubbard Park. The place that is large and rather impressive, with plenty of areas for both young kids and slightly older children. Notably, there are no swing sets here, so I'm told that's now commonplace in the area. There's a large field nearby as well as a number of pathways leading out to other play areas. Not a bad transition from a place where if you wouldn't go to walk their dog a decade ago. While we were there, there were probably 40 kids playing and plenty of seating for parents. A great spot if you're heading out into parasites or just need to get away for a little bit so the kids can run off some energy.

Heck, the breeze was perfect and sun out today, if I had thought about it, I'd have brought a kite, book or fishing pole for my solo walk around this very clean park. There is a pond, river access, nicely paved paths, ample parking, benches and trash bins galore. I also discovered they have fitness stations located throughout the park for those wanting to combine bike riding, jogging, and a total body workout. I chose to walk around and enjoy the smells and sights of a beautiful fall day with the beautiful leaves in a range of colors while listening to my audio book. I saw restroom facilities and covered picnic areas as well as an occasional drinking fountain. It's definitely worth the stop.

There were no signs or maps to point you in the direction of the different areas- so basically just aimlessly wandered around trying to find the butterfly garden (never did figure it out). The Japanese area was definitely the best part of the arboretum. Took a look around the gift shop, luckily I didnt find anything to purchase because I never even saw anyone around to help....
